Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2388: Chapter 1793: The Person Behind the Scenes (Part 3)

The Vice Executive of the Africa region is naturally more inclined to cooperate with the developed North American region, not just to gain performance but also to receive more benefits under the table.

Therefore, ”Green Sky” politely declined Dilu City’s suggestion, using internal reorganization as a guise.

Despite all their calculations, they hadn’t anticipated that Bai Xiaosheng would be part of the Huaxia Business Group, and his accidental discovery of the situation here sparked his intense curiosity.

At this moment.

”What, you said you saw Bai Xiaosheng at Green Sky? He visited Africa with the Huaxia Business Group and ended up there?” Miss Caroline was shocked after hearing the report over the phone.

”However, he still doesn’t know that I’m the one you sent, nor does he know any information about me.” Jenny reassured Caroline confidently.

Caroline said in a deep voice over the phone, ”Then you, be sure to conceal your identity. As for old John... forget it, I know that old John from Green Sky Company, he’s an old fox, he knows what to do.”

Then, Caroline wondered, ”What is Bai Xiaosheng doing at Green Sky Company? Didn’t Green Sky arrange not to engage with the Huaxia Business Group?”

Facing Caroline’s inquiry, Jenny quickly said, ”Yes, even old John declined the local Deputy Mayor’s invitation, yet Bai Xiaosheng somehow found his way there. So, should I continue the private discussions with old John?”

Bai Xiaosheng is quite famous in the North American region, even Caroline suffered a big loss under his hands, so it’s impossible for Jenny not to be afraid.

Moreover, she didn’t want any problems that would cause Miss Caroline’s wrath to fall upon her, there have been plenty of precedents...

So Jenny reported this to ask for Caroline’s guidance.

The line fell silent, and Jenny didn’t dare to disturb it, waiting quietly.

Until Caroline’s affirmative voice came through the phone, ”Stick to the original plan and await further instructions from me.”

”Understood!” Jenny replied promptly.

Caroline’s voice on the phone softened, speaking kindly, ”Jenny, tell me, how do you think I’ve treated you?”

Jenny was momentarily stunned upon hearing this, then quickly laughed and said, ”You’ve treated me better than my own sisters! You’ve given me everything!”

”And what if I needed you to make a small sacrifice for me?” Caroline asked slowly.

This made Jenny’s hair stand on end, making her breathe a little faster, ”What kind of sacrifice, Miss Caroline?”

On the other end, Caroline laughed heartily, ”I was just joking with you.”

”Even if I did ask for a sacrifice, I’d make sure what you gain is far greater than what you lose! When have I ever treated anyone unfairly?” Caroline added.

”True, true.” Jenny replied with a quick laugh.

”Alright, just stay vigilant and proceed with the original plan, I’ll get back to you later.” Caroline’s voice was gentle.

The call was then hung up.

Jenny held onto her phone, maintaining the pose for several seconds before lowering her hand and setting the phone down, looking at the darkened screen with a complex expression.

Her forehead was slightly shiny from sweat due to the conversation earlier.

”If I’m required to make sacrifices, and I refuse, it’s probably a dead end for me.” Jenny murmured, ”Miss Caroline, I hope you were joking!”

”It’s really frightening!”

Far away in Ganande, America, Caroline gazed at the phone on the table with an expressionless face, elegantly sipping her coffee.

”Bai Xiaosheng, this man, the slightest negligence would lead to a fatal mistake, so I must make proper preparations.” Caroline muttered to herself and suddenly smiled like a crafty fox spirit, ”What if I turned all the pieces into a trap for Bai Xiaosheng, making that side into a big bomb, so that Bai Xiaosheng knows it’s dangerous, yet he must kick it. Then, boom—”

Caroline suddenly giggled, ”Just thinking about it is quite amusing!”
