Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2389: Chapter 1794: Fruitful Gains

Bai Xiaosheng and Vice Mayor Samba were invited into the office of ’Green Sky’ company’s General Manager, Mr. John.

The office was tastefully decorated, featuring quite a few Huaxia calligraphy and ceramics, as well as green plants.

However, Mr. John’s desk appeared somewhat cluttered.

Regarding this, Mr. John apologized to Vice Mayor Samba with a smile, ”I was working for a while before you arrived, it’s a bit messy here, please don’t mind.”

Vice Mayor Samba laughed heartily, ”Mr. John, your desk may be messy, but your entire office is tidy. There’s nothing wrong with this, productive people are like this. My desk is also messy when I work.”

Bai Xiaosheng also chuckled and nodded.

”How can I be compared to you? You are busy with numerous pressing affairs.”

Mr. John smiled, gestured a ’please’, and led Bai Xiaosheng and Vice Mayor Samba to the sofa, then casually tidied his desk before giving up.

From the moment Bai Xiaosheng entered, he examined the office’s layout, noticing a human-height writing board in the corner.

The board was spotless, likely freshly wiped.

People who keep such boards in their offices usually write important content on them for reflection. Given it’s the General Manager’s office, without permission, unrelated individuals can’t enter, and even if they did, they might not understand any highlighted phrases. Is it really necessary to wipe it so clean?

If General Manager John were a clean freak or had OCD, the clutter on his desk would contradict that notion.

It seems something was erased before we came upstairs, deliberately not wanting us to see it, Bai Xiaosheng thought.

After Mr. John seated Vice Mayor Samba and Bai Xiaosheng, he busily arranged tea and coffee, ensuring everything was proper before sitting opposite them.

”This is... Mr. Bai, right?” Mr. John smiled at Bai Xiaosheng, pronouncing the Chinese character with slightly broken intonation.

Bai Xiaosheng held his coffee, nodding politely with a smile.

”Mr. Bai, being so young yet accompanying the Huaxia Business Group on visits, is quite impressive,” Mr. John smiled warmly.

From Mr. John’s perspective, given his age and current status, saying this to a young businessman was perfectly appropriate.

Unfortunately, he didn’t realize that Bai Xiaosheng’s true identity and position far surpassed his own by more than just one level, and they were not on the same tier at all.

Vice Mayor Samba, knowing some of Bai Xiaosheng’s capabilities, felt uneasy but couldn’t intervene. He promptly looked at Bai Xiaosheng, watching for his reaction. If Bai Xiaosheng was unhappy, he would step in to ease the situation.

Yet, Bai Xiaosheng maintained a smile, and courteously said to Mr. John, ”Mr. John, you praise me too much, I’m undeserving. I’ve heard that the ’Green Sky’ company you manage is renowned in the African business sector, so I was particularly eager to visit and learn this time.”

Since he couldn’t reveal his identity with Zhenbei Group, Bai Xiaosheng downplayed his posture.

Anyway, interacting like this with an experienced manager wasn’t degrading.

In the future, when his identity is disclosed, it would instead show his humility and respect for seasoned business figures.

”Mr. Bai is truly humble!” Vice Mayor Samba couldn’t help but commend before Mr. John could speak.

Mr. John assumed Mr. Samba’s eagerness to compliment was intentional, given Mr. Bai was with the Huaxia Business Group, and he didn’t take it to heart, merely denying with a ”not at all”.

”I read a report about ’Green Sky’ in Huaxia a long time ago. Your company has been thriving in the northern big city of Naliya, akin to another Banjiao City. Why would ’Green Sky’s headquarters relocate to Dilu City?” Bai Xiaosheng feigned surprise, slightly confused, then looked at Vice Mayor Samba with a smile, ”Or do you feel our Dilu City has great potential in terms of location and various resources? Beneficial for our new business development?”

Mr. John’s smile hesitated for a moment but quickly returned to normal. He replied vaguely, ”A bit of everything. Brother Bai, you know, ’Green Sky’ is under Zhenbei Group. The top leadership has a strategic vision, and we employees naturally follow their directives, going wherever ordered.”

Maybe finding it improper to express being forced to move to this ”backwater” with Vice Mayor Samba present,

Mr. John, after glancing at Mr. Samba, hastily added, ”Of course, we also believe Dilu City will undergo tremendous development over the next decade, with limitless potential. Surpassing Banjiao City is foreseeable!”

”It still requires the strong support of you business magnates,” Vice Mayor Samba laughed heartily.

Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but smile faintly.

Having Vice Mayor Samba present is indeed beneficial. Even if Mr. John doesn’t want to divulge, he has to speak more on certain matters. Of course, the extent of useful information shared depends on the one questioning, employing skill. Facing such shrewd businessmen, though easy to say, it’s exceedingly tough to execute.

However, Bai Xiaosheng had encountered many equally or even more outstanding figures before, accumulative of considerable experience. With the additional help of Red Lotus in organizing questions, making them more logical and rigorous, extracting information became a breeze.
