Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2372: Chapter 1787: The Distinguished Guest Has Arrived

Among the four entrepreneurs, Filas, Laimu, Luka, and Kars, Mr. Luka’s company is the smallest. In the entire park, his fixed assets only occupy two floors of a five-story building, with a total of fewer than two hundred employees.

Yet, Mr. Luka’s company is the one Bai Xiaosheng is most interested in because their company solely focuses on ”technology”.

Including car engines, they can improve and optimize the design for twelve categories of thirty-two types of mechanical products and electronic products.

However, this kind of business involving trade secrets is actually not easy to undertake because major brands have their own technical teams and will not leak their core data and drawings. According to local laws, Luka and his team cannot reverse engineer and can only take some small orders to survive.

Unexpectedly, Luka is very good at team management, and out of over a hundred technical personnel, very few have switched jobs.

Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but secretly admire this.

”Luka, aren’t you having some business difficulties now? We’ve been friends for many years, and I’ve always wanted to help you. You know I hold your personnel in high regard and welcome you to bring them over to my side at any time. I can offer you the treatment of a partner, no one here will be laid off, and they can still hold shares just like now, how about it?” During a tour, Mr. Filas pulled Luka aside and whispered these words.

They naturally used the local dialect.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying truly didn’t understand that language, so they naturally ignored it.

Bai Xiaosheng heard every word.

”Let me think about it; I also need to discuss it with my team.” Luka responded.

Everyone is in the same park, not far from each other, Luka’s clients even include Filas, and after years of interacting, they pretty much understand each other.

Business is sluggish for Luka here, and Filas is now seeking external capital, neither is much better off. Even if Luka’s team accepted the offer, it would be for mutual warmth, hoping Filas would accept the entire team, compared to the current situation, there wouldn’t be much change.

Currently, there are also big companies secretly contacting Luka, expressing a desire to acquire their large team, but requiring at least half of the personnel to be removed.

Because of this, Luka has never agreed.

”The Huaxia people are still here, shouldn’t you save this conversation for later!” Laimu couldn’t help but murmur.

Kars shared the same sentiment.

Filas glanced over to see Bai Xiaosheng deeply focused on observing Luka’s team at work, as if he hadn’t heard a word of their conversation, and promptly pursed his lips with a low chuckle, ”What does it matter, anyway, they don’t understand our language.”

Despite saying so, Filas really did stop discussing that topic next.

But Bai Xiaosheng had already gotten the information he wanted and observed Luka’s expressions during his conversation with Filas.

Bai Xiaosheng realized that Luka didn’t really resist being acquired, perhaps just hoping to be accepted by a strong enough entity.

From Luka’s genuine expressions towards his team, Bai Xiaosheng guessed that he probably didn’t want anyone in his team to be dismissed after being taken over, which was precisely what those large companies outside, eager to absorb the technical team, were unlikely to agree to.

”I’ve pretty much finished the tour here, and I think we can wrap it up.” Having gotten what he needed, Bai Xiaosheng remarked to Luka with a smile.

Mr. Luka was the most gentle in temperament, smiling at Bai Xiaosheng, ”You’ve come from far away, why not come to my office for a cup of tea to relax?”

He was the first among them to extend such an invitation to Bai Xiaosheng.

Filas and Laimu displayed a ”is that necessary” expression.

Throughout this visit, they’ve grown increasingly dismissive of this young Huaxia businessman, feeling there’s little possibility for collaboration.

”Thank you, Mr. Luka, but we’re not tired now. We lost some time on the road, so we’d better focus on business first.” Bai Xiaosheng smiled to Luka and replied.

Mr. Luka nodded and did not insist.

Because of this invitation, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying had a good impression of Luka.

After talking with Luka, Bai Xiaosheng turned his gaze to the last entrepreneur among the four—Kars.

”Mr. Kars, can we now take a look at your place?” Bai Xiaosheng asked.

”I don’t think that’s necessary!” Kars replied with half a smile, lazily saying, ”I’m just in the energy extraction and transportation business over there. I imagine you wouldn’t be too interested. Besides, we have high expectations for partners, hoping for large, capable collaborators, it’s meaningless for medium and small enterprises to come.”

Kars publicly refused Bai Xiaosheng’s request to visit, with a hint of sarcasm in his words.

He is the kind of person opposite to Luka, exhibiting the coldest attitude, even overtly showing disdain.

This demeanor made Lin Weiwei frown behind Bai Xiaosheng, while Lei Ying slightly narrowed his eyes, showing some displeasure.

Filas and Laimu seemed faintly schadenfreude.

Luka felt this treatment of guests was excessive and quickly advised, ”Kars, we’ve been waiting for this guest for a while, isn’t it appropriate to let them have a look!”

”If you really want to see, then go ahead.” Kars replied lazily.

Bai Xiaosheng suddenly smiled, lightly saying, ”I think we can skip it, since Mr. Kars seems indifferent anyway.”
