Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2369: Chapter 1785: Just... Three People?! (2)

Bai Xiaosheng smiled and shook his head, ”Mr. Samba’s secretary must have seen them giving us the middle finger, realizing there was some conflict between us, so she’s helping us out. It seems that the skill of reading the room as a secretary is universal across the world!”

Lei Ying also laughed.

”It’s just that the woman didn’t actually cause us any harm. She tried to stir up trouble with the Kurik Clan, but indirectly helped us...” Bai Xiaosheng said.

Lin Weiwei immediately felt indignant and retorted, ”That’s because Xiaosheng, you were quick-witted, turned a crisis into an opportunity, and even created a business chance. Their original intention wasn’t that good! Moreover, they didn’t learn from their mistakes and acted arrogantly afterward, which is really annoying! They should be taught a lesson!”

Bai Xiaosheng laughed indifferently and shrugged, ”Alright, you’re right, they deserved it.”

The three of them no longer discussed Jenny and her team’s topic and instead used Huaxia language to talk about their destination enterprises.

These enterprises’ operations range from energy extraction, infrastructure construction, to high-tech research, and have a lot of potential for development in Naliya. If they can link their resources from Huaxia over, there could be endless business opportunities.

While on the road, Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t help but start planning, asking Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying to help organize the ideas, wanting to outline everything roughly. This way, when they reach the destination, they can directly discuss cooperation with those companies.

The driver occasionally looked at the three of them curiously through the rearview mirror. He understood some Huaxia language, but only phrases like ”Hello” and ”Have you eaten?”...

When Bai Xiaosheng and the others were almost done talking, they were nearly at their destination.

Bai Xiaosheng asked the driver in English and learned that there were twenty minutes left until they reached their first stop, prompting Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying to take a break and gather their energy for the upcoming meeting.

Bai Xiaosheng and the others told the driver that their first destination was an industrial park in Nalinta City.

Of the four enterprises they were going to inspect, two had their headquarters there, and the other two had branch offices.

...

At this moment, at the entrance of the largest commercial park in Nalinta City’s new district, at least a hundred people had gathered.

Leading them was a Deputy Mayor of Nalinta City, along with other government officials. Nalinta City was stronger than Dilu City, but still lagged behind other stronger cities, so they paid special attention to this investment solicitation.

Behind the Deputy Mayor of Nalinta City were the leaders of four enterprises. Further behind, there were people with flowers and musical instruments, all to welcome the distant guests from Huaxia.

The leaders of the four enterprises were full of energy, with a mix of old, middle-aged, and young among them, although the youngest was over forty.

The four of them looked around for the Huaxia Business Group’s arrival, huddled together, whispering to each other.

You could see they were quite excited.

”Previously, I heard that a large business delegation consisting of dozens of Huaxia magnates was coming, which got me excited. But then they said there were too many companies inviting them for visits, so the Huaxia businessmen would split into smaller groups, which was a bit disappointing.”

”What’s there to be disappointed about? I heard that a dozen people are coming to us, from five major Huaxia groups, which isn’t bad, considering we’re just one of many points to visit.”

”If you think about it, it means we might have more than one collaborator per company. The number might be small, but I heard this time they’re all top-tier big companies, and with Huaxia people being wealthy, their investments might be surprisingly large for us!”

”Yeah, if any of you think the collaboration scale is small, give it to me!”

”Go away, such high-quality, high-level collaboration partners, the more the better!”

As the four chatted and joked, they kept looking towards the road, their hearts skipping a beat whenever a car approached.

They were genuinely filled with anticipation for the arrival of the Huaxia Business Group.

As the time approached, the city leaders of Nalinta City also instructed the welcoming team to be prepared. They knew that such a ceremony was popular in Huaxia and felt it was quite nice themselves, so they prepared this event to show their enthusiasm.

Compared to the businessmen, the city leaders of Nalinta City were even more eager for this cooperation’s impact in political and economic areas.

Amid everyone’s anticipation, two sedans drove into view and finally stopped a short distance ahead of them.

Everyone exchanged glances.

”Is this the visiting business group? Two sedans, how many people can fit in them? Wasn’t it supposed to be over fifteen people? Including security, shouldn’t there be a whole convoy!” someone couldn’t help but ask.

”This should be... the advance team of the convoy, here to notify us!” someone hesitantly explained.

”Yes, it must be that!”

This view was immediately recognized by others.

The city leaders of Nalinta City and the heads of the four enterprises immediately stepped forward.

As the doors of the two sedans opened, two people got out from the front, and three from the back.

”Hey, aren’t those Mr. Samba’s people from Dilu City? Why are they here?” someone next to the Deputy Mayor of Nalinta City couldn’t help but express surprise.

Everyone was taken aback.

Why were people from Dilu City accompanying them?

If anyone, it should be from Banjiao City.

Samba’s two secretaries, seeing so many leaders in front of them, many of whom they recognized, quickly smiled and came forward to greet them respectfully.

”What are you doing here?” the Deputy Mayor in charge of welcoming couldn’t help but furrow his brow and ask.

”Well, we’re here on Mr. Samba’s orders to escort some esteemed guests,” they replied respectfully.

”The guests from Huaxia,” they answered in sequence when questioned by the senior officials.

Only then did everyone notice that the people getting out of the car behind and walking over indeed had Huaxia appearances.

However, the three were too young, looking more like secretaries or assistants.

The Deputy Mayor of Nalinta and the heads of four enterprises didn’t see Bai Xiaosheng and them as significant figures, merely casting a glance without any other gestures.

”It seems we’ve been underestimated, Xiaosheng,” Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but whisper to Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled.

They were expecting a large business delegation, while the three of them were just a small party, so it was understandable to be regarded like that.

”I didn’t expect Mr. Samba to be so astute. Even though Dilu City doesn’t have two qualified companies to invite esteemed guests, they still know to send people for transit. Not bad at all! Very efficient!” commented the Deputy Mayor of Nalinta with a hint of teasing, prompting laughter from those around him.

Samba’s two secretaries exchanged a glance, both having a forced expression as if they wanted to speak but couldn’t.

”Where’s the convoy? How far behind are they? Should we start the welcome ceremony now?” asked the Deputy Mayor.

”Well... Mr. Tori, there’s no convoy behind,” one of the two, somewhat hesitantly, replied.

”Hmm?” Deputy Mayor Tori of Nalinta was stunned, the four enterprise leaders beside him also looked at the speaker in surprise.

The other person continued, ”Originally, part of the Huaxia delegation decided to inspect our side temporarily, and we brought you the other part.”

Deputy Mayor Tori and the several enterprise leaders were all stunned.

The delegation was already too small, and now a part had been intercepted by Dilu City!

”Then... what about the rest of the people?” Deputy Mayor Tori asked, a bit dazed.

”Well... they’re all here,” Samba’s secretary presented Bai Xiaosheng’s trio to them.

Suddenly, Deputy Mayor Tori and the others were dumbfounded, staring blankly.

”Just three people? And so young!”
