Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2392: Chapter 1795: My Troubles Are Gone

Bai Xiaosheng initially proposed a visit to ”Green Sky” company, believing that the company might have some issues. This visit confirmed his judgment, which was a big gain.

Not only that, Bai Xiaosheng mentioned another ”big fish” appearing, which surprised Lin Weiwei and even Lei Ying.

”What other ’big fish’?” Lin Weiwei exchanged a glance with Lei Ying, asking in confusion.

Bai Xiaosheng didn’t beat around the bush and whispered to the two of them, ”Don’t you think there’s something off about Miss Jenny?”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying looked at each other in dismay.

She indeed appeared to be a femme fatale, vindictive and ruthless, but to say there were other issues...

That would still connect her to them and Green Sky...

”Is it because she’s also from the group?” Lin Weiwei recalled the moment in the lobby when Jenny stifled Mr. Samba’s secretary, and suddenly, a realization dawned on her.

”It’s not a problem that she’s from the group; the key is, who sent her!” Lei Ying also realized, speaking more directly.

Bai Xiaosheng chuckled, ”Don’t you think this woman’s English carries a bit of... a Ganande regional accent?”

A simple statement was enough without further explanation.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying were startled by what they heard.

Ganande English might be one of the closest to standard English. It’s not a dialect, and even those with excellent English skills may not discern the differences.

In any case, these two hadn’t noticed it.

However, since Bai Xiaosheng brought it up, they immediately trusted his judgment due to his extraordinary proficiency in various languages.

”A Ganande accent, doesn’t that mean she’s...” Lin Weiwei exclaimed.

She is indeed sent by the North American region’s chief, Caroline, who has long been at odds with them!

After all, Ganande is Caroline’s jurisdiction. Everyone in the group under her ranks is under her control.

”Could it be that this is just a routine visit between companies, and it’s not as serious as we think?” Lin Weiwei said.

Without Bai Xiaosheng needing to say anything, Lei Ying shook his head, ”You see that arrogance in Jenny; is it something ordinary people have? Even the person in charge of a company doesn’t possess it. Weren’t Ye Liena and Melanie once showing similar traits? Without Caroline dispatching her people, such a person wouldn’t arrive here quietly and be received discreetly by old John, which is very telling.”

Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but nod.

The key is, what is Caroline’s purpose in sending Jenny?

It’s unlikely to be just a simple visit!

With Caroline’s status, shouldn’t she be connecting with the highest official of the group’s African region instead of sending someone to flirt with the lower departments in the African region?

Does the business president of the African region know?

Or have they reached some agreement!

Bai Xiaosheng just confirmed the issues with ”Green Sky” company. These two matters combined, this problem is probably very intriguing!

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying immediately focused with furrowed brows.

”Didn’t expect this time; we really stumbled upon a big fish.” Lei Ying murmured.

”We must take action. Just with ’Green Sky’ alone, Xiaosheng couldn’t sit back and do nothing with his current position.” Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but look at them and said, ”But we are on a diplomatic visit with Huaxia’s discussions, and we are about to gather and leave for the next location. What should we do here?”

Bai Xiaosheng couldn’t possibly tell Hou Yuncheng that there are matters in his group, and he needs to leave the group to investigate for ten days or half a month; it doesn’t make sense.

If they first follow the delegation, who knows how long before they can return, and their visit here can’t be kept secret forever. If the other side catches even the slightest hint, by then, all issues might dissipate into thin air.

”Otherwise, the two of us stay behind to investigate while you follow the commerce delegation on to the next part of the itinerary, Xiaosheng, what do you think?” Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but suggest.

Perhaps, this is the best option?

Lei Ying also said, ”Coincidentally, we have investments in Dilu City; leaving someone behind to monitor is understandably normal. Plus, Mr. Samba treats us as honored guests. Bringing him in can provide significant assistance. Even if General Manager John doesn’t take us seriously, he still has to give face to Vice Mayor Samba. Continuing the investigation won’t be difficult. The challenge is to be thorough and confidential, which might slow down the investigation, perfectly allowing you to finish on your end.”

Seeing Lei Ying say so, Lin Weiwei also nodded in agreement, but she felt uneasy not being by Bai Xiaosheng’s side to look after him.

Bai Xiaosheng found the proposal somewhat tempting but still shook his head, murmuring, ”It’s not that I don’t trust your abilities, just that if many things require you two to appear, you might get exposed. Whether it’s that Jenny, or old John, or Caroline behind them, or someone else, one is more troublesome than the next. I’m worried you’ll find yourselves isolated and unable to cope, eventually falling into someone’s trap.”

Caroline, that woman—Bai Xiaosheng knew all too well her cunning nature was otherworldly. A blink, and she would be envious, leaving Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying abruptly staying here, making him uneasy.

”Then what do we do?” Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but ask, ”Do we just ignore it and let these problems slide?”

When she said this, Lin Weiwei always felt a bit unwilling.

Lei Ying also frowned, reluctant.

Bai Xiaosheng pondered for a moment and said, ”Let’s go back first; there is still time. I’ll see if I can discuss it with Director Hou to let me stay here for a couple more days to at least ensure your arrangements are solid.”
