Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2371: Chapter 1786: The Boastful Young Man (Part 2)

Bai Xiaosheng adhered to the modesty of Huaxia people and spoke truthfully just now.

The expressions of the four people immediately turned somewhat gloomy upon hearing this.

Lin Weiwei saw this and couldn’t help but want to ”correct” Bai Xiaosheng.

But in the end, she held back.

”So, what scale of collaboration are you bringing with you this time?” Mr. Laimu asked.

The other three perked up and looked at Bai Xiaosheng.

They couldn’t just give up hope because the other party was an ordinary company. After all, if there was some collaboration, they could share it among their four companies. Even a small piece of grasshopper meat is better than nothing, right?

Bai Xiaosheng pondered and said, ”If there is a worthwhile collaboration, I naturally want to take it all. If none are suitable, then it’s possible there won’t be any deals at all.”

Bai Xiaosheng was a pragmatic person with an appetite for swallowing vast collaborations.

However, the four had made prior judgments, and they obviously only heard the harsh word ”none,” immediately dampening their spirits.

In their view, without even a clear volume of collaboration, this young man’s visit wasn’t going to be very profitable.

”Then, may I ask, what are your main business areas?” Mr. Luka asked with a last glimmer of hope.

At least if there was a match, one of their four companies could get some orders, which wouldn’t be bad.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled, ”I dabble in various industries; it’s no exaggeration to say that we have every kind of business. If not, I can also find friends to collaborate with.”

Bai Xiaosheng was speaking frankly, yet it chilled the hearts of the four.

To them, what Bai Xiaosheng said sounded like a small street workshop, claiming to do everything...

The four people’s smiles diminished instantly.

”Mr. Bai!” Lin Weiwei finally couldn’t hold back, tugging on Bai Xiaosheng’s sleeve in a low voice.

”I’m sorry.” Bai Xiaosheng apologized to the four, then turned his head, looking at Lin Weiwei quizzically.

”Xiaosheng, you don’t see it, do you? Look at their faces, can’t you say something encouraging, like our company’s strength isn’t weaker than Tengyun, and your business connections are widespread across continents.” Lin Weiwei whispered to Bai Xiaosheng in Huaxia language.

Bai Xiaosheng chuckled immediately.

He indeed saw through the four people’s thoughts.

However, so what? Just to make them look up to him, should he boast about his capabilities?

These enterprises, in Bai Xiaosheng’s eyes, were just worth a look, not an equal presence. Should he inflate his achievements just to work with them?

Not necessary.

As Bai Xiaosheng listened to Lin Weiwei, the four also walked away a bit and whispered among themselves, using dialect.

In their opinion, Huaxia people shouldn’t understand it.

”This Huaxia person doesn’t seem to be anything major.”

”It seems he can’t bring us much cooperation.”

”Damn, I was still holding hope.”

”Now what, just let him look around? Just make it look good for the higher-ups...”

The few also lost interest.

...

After Bai Xiaosheng finished speaking with Lin Weiwei, the others also wrapped up their short discussion.

Bai Xiaosheng naturally heard everything, but he kept a smile as if he hadn’t understood. The four also forced a smile.

Bai Xiaosheng and his two companions followed them into the park. At the entrance, there were sightseeing vehicles available. Bai Xiaosheng’s group took one, and the four business heads and their subordinates took others, noticing many were left empty, likely prepared for a larger group that didn’t show up...

In the vehicle, Lin Weiwei complained to Bai Xiaosheng in Huaxia language, ”These people are so superficial. They see we are few in number and assume there’s not much business opportunity, so their attitude is lukewarm...”

”Isn’t that understandable?” Bai Xiaosheng asked with a smile.

Lin Weiwei couldn’t refute, immediately pouting without speaking.

Lei Ying, however, sat there unaffected, saying nothing.

Bai Xiaosheng murmured, ”Isn’t it better this way? They’re less guarded and disguised, so we can see more things...”

...

As the sightseeing car moved inside, the four company heads each held their phones, sending out messages to their own companies or factories to trim down some welcoming ceremonies and tour projects. After all, only one person came, and it’s not like it’s a big company, so why make a big fuss?

The four of them were doing similar things and also noticed each other’s intentions. They paused for a moment, exchanged glances, and shared a knowing smile.

The first stop was Mr. Filas’s manufacturing factory, which specializes in developing new energy extraction and transmission equipment.

Originally, Filas wanted to showcase two parts: the main mature products and the ”avant-garde” concept products.

Because Mr. Filas changed the tour content midway, the presentation was greatly reduced.

Accompanied by technical staff for introductions, Bai Xiaosheng looked around and knew that the other party was holding back and giving him a discount.

”I thought Mr. Filas’s factory would open my eyes, but it’s just so-so. These technologies and equipment are nothing compared to what some of our trade companies produce.” Bai Xiaosheng feigned disappointment, shaking his head, ”They even asked me to pay close attention, but it seems unnecessary.”

Bai Xiaosheng’s dismissiveness instantly pricked Mr. Filas’s pride and made the other three a bit gleeful.

Hearing that Bai Xiaosheng came with the attention of other businessmen, Mr. Filas felt a bit more spirited.

”Nothing worth mentioning? Let me show you what cutting-edge high-end really is!” Filas, annoyed, led Bai Xiaosheng and the others to see the part that wasn’t displayed.

This time, Bai Xiaosheng was fairly satisfied.

”However, many technical problems are yet to be solved, and the follow-up investment won’t be small. Cooperation doesn’t seem too fitting.” Bai Xiaosheng said, ”If you could fully transfer these new technologies, that would still be good.”

A sentence that left the four of them momentarily stunned.

This guy has quite a nerve, thinking the investment’s not worth it and wanting to buy the existing new technology?

Filas couldn’t help but laugh, raising an eyebrow at Bai Xiaosheng, ”We invested two billion US Dollars in R&D, and now it’s worth at least 2.5 billion. Sir, do you want to buy it? That’s quite a sum of money! We ourselves couldn’t afford it in one go!”

The other three couldn’t help but chuckle.

Bai Xiaosheng nodded calmly and glanced at Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying.

This asking price, even if not entirely true, is close enough, and it’s certainly much less than Bai Xiaosheng and his team’s evaluation.

”Then it’s settled, if I have that much money, Mr. Filas should sell.” Bai Xiaosheng said lightly, sounding as if he was joking.

”Sure thing, I stand by my word, everyone here can be witnesses. Now, do you want to sign a contract?” Mr. Filas treated it like a joke.

The others felt the same.

”Next, should we go to see Mr. Laimu?” Bai Xiaosheng ignored the bait, instead asking.

Meanwhile, Filas amusingly spread his hands towards the remaining three.

”Let’s go, let’s check out our place then.” Mr. Laimu laughed heartily.

Afterward, everyone arrived at a large headquarters building in the park, seeing a massive sandbox model in the lobby.

Mr. Laimu is in the infrastructure engineering business, and the sandbox displays projects in various places.

”As long as I have enough external funds, along with new Huaxia equipment and enough raw materials, I can give a facelift to a quarter of Naliya.” Mr. Laimu was very confident about his business.

After looking at the sandbox, Bai Xiaosheng didn’t even lift his head, ”So, that means Mr. Laimu has overextended, leading to potential problems with the funding chain, and a shortage of equipment and materials.”

This comment immediately froze Laimu’s smile.

The others couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

”You outsider, what nonsense are you spouting.” Mr. Laimu, embarrassed and angry, rudely accused Bai Xiaosheng.

If it were in front of many people, he might have minded. With just one person, he saw no reason to be polite.

”I think Mr. Laimu should proceed steadily.” Bai Xiaosheng said calmly and with a smile, ”Otherwise, how about transferring half of your projects, exchanging them for cash and resources, and doing the other half well?”

The suggestion was easier said than done, half the projects?

”If you can find someone in Naliya to take on half my engineering projects in one go, I’ll listen to you.” Mr. Laimu sneered, ”The premise is no installment payments, it must be an all-at-once payment for half of my projects, if possible, I would really agree to it!”

With this boastful young man, one had to use words to stump him.

Mr. Laimu’s indignant words indisputably confirmed Bai Xiaosheng’s assessment.

”Okay, I’ll remember Mr. Laimu’s conditions.” Bai Xiaosheng smiled and looked at the other two, ”So, where shall we go for the next visit?”
