Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2376: Chapter 1788: The Grand Collaboration (Part 2)

Facing this invitation, Bai Xiaosheng smiled and looked at the time, saying, ”We need to rush back to Banjiao City before evening, but I think we should be able to visit two companies before that.”

Deputy Mayor Tori was overjoyed upon hearing this.

Always so aloof, yet today he was acting unusually. This Huaxia businessman agreeing to visit two more companies had prompted such a reaction from him.

Filas and the others couldn’t help but exchange glances, puzzled.

”It’s already this time, Mr. Bai, I’d like to invite you for lunch,” Deputy Mayor Tori offered.

Beside him, Luka couldn’t help but interject, ”But just now, when we were chatting, I mentioned that our company’s outsourced lunch is quite good, and Mr. Bai already agreed to eat here.”

Earlier, Filas and Laimu hadn’t intended to invite Bai Xiaosheng for lunch, but Luka had warmly extended the invitation.

When Bai Xiaosheng agreed, the two of them secretly laughed, thinking this Huaxia person, who hadn’t seen much of the world, was pleased even with a fast meal.

Deputy Mayor Tori shook his head immediately upon hearing this, firmly opposing, ”This is absolutely unacceptable! Mr. Bai is a guest; he must have a formal lunch!”

Luka was out of options and looked at Bai Xiaosheng.

”But I’d like to eat here and chat with Mr. Luka about some collaboration,” Bai Xiaosheng said with a smile.

Deputy Mayor Tori, hearing this, immediately broke into a smile, saying to Luka, ”Mr. Luka, add me in for lunch here as well.”

Mr. Tori’s words surprised Filas, Laimu, and Kars.

Deputy Mayor Tori was going to accompany this young Huaxia person for a quick meal here? Does he really think his time is so expendable?

These three finally realized, judging from Deputy Mayor Tori’s attitude after his return, that there might be something unusual going on.

This young Huaxia businessman might... not be simple!

Deputy Mayor Tori eagerly asked Bai Xiaosheng, ”I still don’t know, Mr. Bai, what kind of collaboration do you plan with Mr. Luka?”

Bai Xiaosheng heard this, looked at Luka, and with a sincere smile, said, ”Earlier, I didn’t have a chance to talk to Mr. Luka, but now that Mr. Tori is here, can I say it?”

”Of course!” Luka immediately nodded.

In front of Deputy Mayor Tori, discussing collaboration matters should be no problem.

Luka and Bai Xiaosheng were chatting amiably, and Luka faintly felt that this young man was rather extraordinary.

He was very curious to hear about what collaborations Bai Xiaosheng had in mind with him.

Given the current difficult situation, Luka would not refuse any upcoming order!

Filas and the other three were also listening intently, wanting to know this young man’s appetite, deducing what remarkable things he might possess.

”I would like to invite Mr. Luka and your people over to our side,” Bai Xiaosheng said.

Just an invitation to visit, to inspect?

Filas and the others held their breath, but upon hearing just an invitation, they were slightly disappointed.

”Alright, I’ll bring my people over to visit Mr. Bai’s place,” Luka smiled.

During the earlier chat, Luka felt Bai Xiaosheng was knowledgeable about the industry, guessing he also had a technical team.

This kind of international exchange is always a good thing; if there’s a chance for cooperation, even better.

Deputy Mayor Tori looked puzzled at Bai Xiaosheng, unable to believe it was merely an invitation.

Seeing that the group hadn’t understood his meaning, Bai Xiaosheng realized he had been too subtle, so he smiled and said, ”When I say invitation, I mean I would like you all to join our group.”

Bai Xiaosheng’s words stunned everyone present.

Now, everyone understood.

Bai Xiaosheng intended to acquire Luka’s business here.

Filas had long coveted Luka’s people, and seeing someone stepping in to seal the deal, he laughed, ”Mr. Bai, I think you’re not aware that Luka doesn’t oppose joining other groups, but requires maintaining a certain level of independence, and he also has requirements concerning the counterpart’s strength. Furthermore, how could everyone here possibly leave and go all the way to Huaxia? Technical personnel are not likely to leave their hometown...”

”Mr. Luka, you can continue with your team here. I will invest to establish a headquarters building and a new company for you, purchasing all necessary facilities and equipment. Initially, I will invest twenty billion US dollars to ensure all this,” Bai Xiaosheng calmly looked at Luka, saying, ”You will never have to worry about orders again; I’ll provide all the work. Aside from salaries and bonuses, you will enjoy thirty percent of the shares in the new company. You will still fully be in charge of daily operations. How does that sound?”

This young man spoke, and just like that, he was ready to invest twenty billion dollars.

Filas’s smile froze on his face, his eyes widening like saucers.

Twenty billion US dollars!

That’s money!

Real silver!

Just for basic assurance?!

Others also stared at Bai Xiaosheng in a daze, with faces full of disbelief.

Luka looked somewhat dazed at Mr. Tori.

Beside him, Deputy Mayor Tori couldn’t help but cough twice, looking at Bai Xiaosheng and smiling, ”Well, Mr. Bai, you’re ready to acquire one of our big companies just like that, this...”

Actually, Luka and his team would remain locally, and tax would still go to Nalinta City.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled at Deputy Mayor Tori, ”If the collaboration goes through, I will naturally engage more with Nalinta City’s enterprises, even inviting friends to invest together.”

Deputy Mayor Tori was delighted upon hearing this and eagerly said to Luka, ”Mr. Luka, what are you hesitating for, you must agree to this golden opportunity! Do you know who he is?”

Luka immediately glanced at Bai Xiaosheng again.
