This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

”Do they both have to come?”

Seeing the man’s timid gaze, Du Heng really wanted to say that they both must come. But thinking that there might be bloodshed if he did, Du Heng had to offer some advice, ”Because our country has requirements for this type of disease, we must investigate and treat both parties together. So, you have to notify them. However, you can notify one tonight and the other tomorrow morning. They don’t have to appear at the same time.”

PHEW. The man visibly relaxed. After a long moment, he looked up and asked Du Heng, ”Doctor, can my condition be cured?”

”That depends on your choice. If you opt for Western medicine, I can’t be certain about the specific treatment results or potential side effects. I’m not very familiar with it. But if you choose traditional Chinese medicine, based on my recent examination and diagnosis, I am confident I can cure you.”

After a brief pause, Du Heng continued, ”However, I must make one thing clear: after you’re cured, the ulcer scars on your lower body will not fade. So, the choice of treatment method is up to you.”

The man fell silent for a short while. ”I want you to treat me.” Then he picked up the phone and called *her*—not his wife.

Now, the man not only needed to notify people but also had to find out who had infected him with this disease. This was now a heavy weight on his mind.

When the man finished his call, Du Heng softly asked, ”Do you want our hospital to send a car for you, or will you go by yourself?”

A hospital car to pick him up?

The man glanced back at the clinic entrance. He saw the continuous flow of people outside, many of them familiar faces. His face turned pale in an instant.

This was a shameful disease, something best kept hidden. He was already struggling to keep it concealed. Having a hospital car pick him up at the clinic entrance? Wasn’t that just asking for the news to spread faster?

The man quickly shook his head. ”I’ll go to the hospital myself. Right now, I’m just a bit itchy and sore, but otherwise, I’m fine.”

Du Heng had considered this possibility, which was why he hadn’t rushed to make the call and had asked the man first. Seeing that the man had made his decision, Du Heng said no more.

Just then, Wei Kaida finished his call and walked over, a slight smirk playing on his lips. ”I’ve already notified the Disease Control Center. They said that once the patient arrives at the hospital, the hospital just needs to contact them to file a report.”

Du Heng nodded. ”And here?”

”Just disinfection, then we’re done.”

Hearing that Wei Kaida was finished, Du Heng turned to the man. ”So, what’s the plan? Shall I accompany you to our hospital now, or do you have something else in mind?”

The man glanced at the entrance and said slowly, ”Let’s wait a bit. My... friend will be here soon. After she arrives, we’ll go to the hospital together.”

Friend, my foot! Du Heng almost rolled his eyes.

After a silent wait of ten minutes or so, a striking female figure appeared at the clinic entrance.

She wore high heels, black stockings, and a silver pleated skirt. Higher up, her slim waist, defined abs, and ample cleavage were all dazzling. Her fair neck, bright eyes, white teeth, and shoulder-length curly hair combined to create an image that was both innocently alluring and pure.

Taken individually, whether her figure or her aura, she’d score at least an 85.

However, as attractive as she was, her worldly, almost tawdry, air was too pronounced.

”Are you fucking crazy? Why did you drag me here in such a rush?” the woman yelled the moment she stormed in and saw the man. But when she got a clearer look at his condition, she frowned. ”What’s wrong with you? Are you really sick?”

The man turned to look at Du Heng.

Du Heng said flatly, ”Why are you looking at me? Tell her.”

Left with no choice, the man gritted his teeth and explained the situation.

The woman instantly exploded, recoiling two steps. ”****, you son of a bitch! Are you trying to kill me? I knew something was up! You used to be so desperate for me, practically living in my bed, but for the past two weeks, I couldn’t get you to come out no matter how I called. So, you caught this disgusting disease!”

She glared at the man again. ”Thank goodness I’m okay, or you really would have been the death of me!”

The man flared up too, glaring at her. ”I’m not even the one who’s pissed off yet, and you’re throwing a fit? What the hell are you angry about? You’re the one who infected me, ****!”

Seeing him lose his temper, the woman wasn’t about to back down and shot back, ”Bullshit! I may dress flashy, but I’m not some cheap slut who throws herself at every man she sees! At home, there’s just that bookworm, and out here, you’re the only other man I’m with. Tell me, besides you, who else could I have gotten this disgusting, shameful disease from? That bookworm who isn’t even interested in women? Hmph! I bet it was you, you shameless bastard, who got it from some other whore! To think I was so blind! PTUI!”

The woman didn’t just make a spitting sound; she actually spat right in the man’s face, making Du Heng and Wei Kaida’s eyelids twitch.

The moment Wei Kaida had seen the woman, he’d started to edge away. When her tirade became completely unrestrained, he quickly grabbed Du Yi and started ushering him towards the second floor. He was genuinely worried his disciple would be overwhelmed—or metaphorically ”sprain his back”—from the shock of this sudden, intense vulgarity; that would be too great a loss.

Wei Kaida led Du Yi upstairs. The woman, having spat in the man’s face, was now preparing to grab her bag and bolt. Seeing this, Du Heng quickly called out, ”Miss, you can’t leave yet.”
