Emperor’s Domination

In Three Immortals, everyone believed Desolate Ancestor and Zhan Sansheng were immortals. This applied to the masters of the redemption grounds as well.

”They are just pseudo-immortals at best, haha.” Black Witch Monarch said.

”Pseudo-immortal has the character ’immortal’ in it.” Li Qiye shook his head: ”It is an exaggeration at this level.”

”Then how should we address them, supreme terrors?” Princess Chen asked.

”Researchers of the immortal path.” Li Qiye said with a smile.

The youths didn’t know how to respond since this went against their world’s classifications. Immortals stood at the top and then supreme terrors or pseudo-immortals. These beings enjoyed everyone’s respect.

Calling them ”researchers” lacked the same weight since this could apply to all cultivators.

”Uh, let’s not do that. Pseudo-immortals work just fine.” Orchidcore smiled wryly.

”If the word ’immortal’ has to be in the mix, there are levels to it too.” Li Qiye shook his head.

”Levels to pseudo-immortals?” The youths repeated, unable to fathom the difference between the apex beings.

”Hehehe, researchers of the immortal path. I suppose I’m not qualified for this title.” Black Witch Monarch was humble for once.

”Don’t be so down, only the pseudo-immortals can earn this title, not the rest of us.” Princess Chen appreciated his humility.

”Don’t put me on the same level as you, a mere commoner! I am a creator of a new dao, the only creator of dark witchcraft!” He glared at her.

”...” She didn’t bother retorting this time.

”Poof!” The sky suddenly turned dark.

”Night.” The girl said while looking up.

”What’s happening?” Orchidcore was surprised just like the rest.

The same confusion applied to every cultivator on the continent.

”What a strange phenomenon.” Someone said.

”Did someone do this?” Another became anxious.

”Look, Ancestor, is that a pair of eyes?” The girl pointed at the sky and asked.

Li Qiye’s eyes narrowed after seeing them.

Sure enough, there were two faint outlines in the sky, barely discernible since they had fused with heaven and earth.

”What are they?” Monk Zhu asked.

”They look purple.” Princess Chen commented.

”What was eaten?” Li Qiye murmured to himself.

Meanwhile, someone rushed into the air and became resplendent with endless fiery waves like a volcanic eruption. As he floated, he looked like the sun.

When people took a closer look, they saw a youth wearing an imperial robe with a similar style of aura. A treasure sword was tied by a waist ribbon; impressive energy oozed from it.

He resembled the lord of the sun, in charge of all lights. Without him, the world would fall into darkness.

”Skyraiser Crown Prince.” Orchidcore said.

”He’ll bring the light back!” Many cultivators cheered after seeing him.

”Another pseudo-emperor trying to gain a dao fruit.” Princess Chen said.

”I’m sure there are emperors ready to protect him.” Monk Zhu placed his palms together.

”Who is Bronze-blade Ancestor’s dao protector then, was there one?” Li Xian asked.

The others didn’t answer because the crown prince was a different story - the successor of Skyraiser Dynasty, a tributary of Seventy-two Skyraiser Sect.

Ever since Trinity Kingdom used the system of emperor candidate, Seventy-two Skyraiser did the same.

This crown prince was a great genius with impeccable cultivation speed. Like his peers, he came searching for the perfect location to reach the next stage.

As a candidate pseudo-emperor, the dynasty certainly sent at least one emperor to protect him.

”Activate!” He roared and his eyes turned into two suns, taking the brightness to the next level. His flames surged outward and destroyed all illusions, revealing a monster.

The monster on this side was entirely black, but it didn’t appear vicious or terrifying. It somewhat resembled a dragon, but not quite. Its body was smooth, with patterns resembling dragon scales, yet it didn’t have actual dragon scales. The body looked rather plump, and the dark black skin armor had a tactile quality making one want to reach out and touch it.

Its round and purple eyes looked like two cycles of reincarnation. When it spread its wings, black fog engulfed the sky immediately.

”What is it?” Someone stared at the creature in a daze.

”Ye Sha!” Li Xian recalled a picture of this creature back in his clan’s ancient scroll.
