Emperor’s Domination

”What kind of existence can put a seal on it?” Coldblade asked.

”Depends on the level of the seal. Regular beings have no chance, but for supreme overlords or immortals, it’s possible with a high price.” Li Qiye said.

”So what does this have to do with the three immortals?” Princess Chen asked.

”When just talking about the beings born in this world, the three immortals are the oldest.” Li Qiye said.

”Not the ones in the redemption grounds?” Mu Hu stopped acting stupid.

”They are not from this world, mere outsiders.” Li Qiye shook his head.

”Where did they come from?” Orchidcore became startled.

Li Qiye smiled and didn’t answer this question.

”In other words, the three immortals have sealed the source before.” Coldblade speculated.

”When a world source is utilized to the limit, this world can reach its prime.” Li Qiye said: ”The three immortals are wise and do not want the world to reach its prime so they imposed certain limitations. This was why supreme overlords were rare.”

He paused for a bit and said: ”Nevertheless, the three immortals allowed for incremental improvements such as the formation of dao sources and dao lineages, progenitors.”

”They eventually released the seal so more overlords appear?” Coldblade asked.

”Because times were changing and if they didn’t do it, Three Immortals wouldn’t be able to keep up. This world needed to be stronger in preparation for the future.” Li Qiye said.

”Is that so?” Monk Zhu placed his palms together, appreciating the lesson.

”Wouldn’t this cause a problem of overlords and immortals monopolizing the veins and the world source itself?” Li Xian asked.

”Not quite in reality. Look at how large the whales are in this ocean, can they take over everything? The same for the springs and how living beings keep on drinking water, do they run out eventually? No, it is self-replenishing with cycles.” Li Qiye said.

”So it’s a matter of who the source gestates, no one is really in charge.” Princess Chen said.

”Yes.” Li Qiye nodded.

”Wouldn’t whoever be in charge of the seal be in charge of the source?” Orchidcore remarked.

”It only makes it harder for people to cultivate, not absolute control.” Li Qiye said.

”Is it possible to fully control one?” Coldblade asked while having a bad feeling about the answer.

”Devour it.” Li Qiye said.

”How would one do that?” Li Xian couldn’t help but ask.

”Eat this world.” Li Qiye was in the mood to entertain: ”And all inhabitants and entities since they are born from the world source. That’s the only way.”

”World devouring.” Coldblade felt a chill coursing down her spine.

The young ones took a deep breath after hearing this.

”Can an immortal do this?” Princess Chen asked.

”Supreme overlords can too.” Li Qiye said.

”So we have several existences that can devour our world.” Orchidcore said.

”There exists a fine balance of power among them.” Li Qiye said.

”What if they choose to devour it together?” Coldblade asked.

”When that happens, I can only comment on how unlucky this world is.” Li Qiye said.

”Immortals are above overlords, can overlords stop an immortal?” Mu Hu asked.

Everyone stared at him because his progenitor was one of the legendary immortals.

”A normal world cannot gestate an immortal, it would be a contest between overlords.” Li Qiye said.

”We have immortals, more than one.” Orchidcore said.

”Three Immortals are unique indeed, ranked second among three thousand worlds.” Li Qiye said.

”There are three thousand worlds?” Coldblade asked with a serious expression but Li Qiye didn’t respond.

”We have immortals from the redemption grounds, Desolate Ancestor, Poye.” Orchidcore said.

”Zhan Sansheng.” Mu Hu added.

”Others cannot produce a single one while Three Immortals gestated four.” Li Qiye said.

”There are more because six redemption grounds, the three immortals, desolate ancestors...” Princess Chen said.

”Redemption grounds weren’t created by this world.” Li Qiye shook his head: ”And if the three immortals were alive, Desolate Ancestor wouldn’t become one.”

”!” The group shuddered after hearing this.

”So we’re down to two, Zhan Sansheng and Desolate Ancestor.” Coldblade said.

”Isn’t Poye dead?” Monk Zhu said.

”Legend has it he can reincarnate.” Mu Hu said.

”Anyone else?” Orchidcore murmured.

”We can have up to four, right? Who else can become one?” Princess Chen counted with her fingers.

”Bodhi Ancestor is close.” Li Xian said.

”He failed.” Orchidcore shook his head.

”Rumor has it he gained Heavenly Sin’s legacy.” Coldblade said.

”If he could become an immortal, then Three Immortals can have five immortals.” Li Qiye smiled.
