Emperor’s Domination

”The most notorious one recently is Visceraless Young Noble’s gauntlet, that’s an immortal item.” Monk Zhu nodded.

”Heaven Suppressing Fist.” Li Xian had read and heard about it previously.

”That’s the one, feared by even supreme overlords since they might not be able to block it.” Orchidcore elaborated.

”Desolate Ancestor’s saber might be another one, the strongest among them.” Princess Chen added.

”Tribulation Saber.” Mu Hu said its name.

”Is that what it is? The mythical blade wielded by an immortal to kill foreign invaders.” Li Xian jumped in.

”You know about this?” Orchidcore’s group was surprised.

”My favorite pastime is reading about legends, my clan has some scrolls.” Li Xian smiled wryly.

”There’s no way to verify it. We just know that it might be enough to kill immortals.” Orchidcore said.

”Right, it had killed plenty of immortals in the past.” Li Xian said.

”Impossible, there aren’t that many immortals in our world, only two have reached this level through cultivation.” Princess Chen took a deep breath.

”Yes, do we count the supreme terrors looming in the old worlds?” Monk Zhu said.

”Well, these foreign invaders were immortals, at least that’s how the text described them.” Li Xian explained.

”Who knows, who knows?” Black Witch Monarch seemed amused by the juniors.

”What about the other weapons?” Li Xian wanted to learn more.

”Xian Chengtian’s spear, potentially at the immortal level.” Princess Chen thought briefly before answering.

”Immortal’s Demise, capable of crucifying immortals.” Orchidcore nodded.

”Does that make sense, Xian Chengtian isn’t an immortal, how would his spear be able to kill them?” Monk Zhu questioned.

”It’s because it was created by an immortal, not him.” Orchidcore said.

”Which one?” Li Xian asked.

”If you are aware of Immortals Slaughtered and Heavenslay, then you know of other immortals.” Princess Chen said.

”Yes, our world’s three immortals and the supreme terrors from the six Redemption Grounds.” Li Xian said.

”We can start with the three immortals, their weapons became lost after Immortals Slaughtered.” Monk Zhu said.

”One has a new owner now. For example, the stone hatchet belonging to Supreme Black Ancestor.”

”Firebringer Hatchet.” Mu Hu didn’t seem to be his foolish self this time.

”That’s the one. Supreme Black Ancestor is an overlord who can kill an immortal with its help.” Orchidcore said.

”That’s nonsense.” Black Witch Monarch sneered: ”If he could kill immortals, he wouldn’t have been stuck on the defensive during Nightwatch. Dingtian and Poye would have been killed long ago.”

The group couldn’t argue against his logic.

”Maybe only Tribulation Saber can slay immortals.” Monk Zhu said.

”That one can, and Desolate Ancestor is an immortal herself, so it’s a matter of whether she wants to or otherwise.” The monarch admitted the saber’s dominance.

”It’s a shame that Bodhi Ancestor failed the ascension or people would get to see his immortal weapon too.” Monk Zhu sighed.

”Immortal Ascension Battle.” The group exchanged glances.

”I thought this was Desolate Ancestor’s defining event.” Li Xian asked.

”There were two separate attempts with the same name, Desolate Ancestor who survived the ambush from Zhan Sansheng with the help of an immortal. The second one relates to Bodhi Ancestor, the strongest cultivator after Desolate Ancestor who had the highest chance.” Princess Chen said.

”There was a reason for his failure, still missing that little something.” Black Witch Monarch said with a smile.

”Then why was he able to attempt?” Li Xian asked.

”Because he obtained someone’s legacy, allowing him to see a shortcut to the immortal path.” The monarch said.

”A legacy?” Li Xian had never heard of it before.

”It’s fine to view it as an immortal artifact.” The monarch didn’t elaborate.

”What happened to it after the failed ascension?” The princess went on.

”Future generations such as ourselves know little about the details. I only heard stories from the seniors about the failure. I know Supreme Heaven tried to stop him using all of its might. Weizhen and Xian Chengtian interfered with the process.” Orchidcore said.

”I can see why because Life and Death Heaven would have had two immortals if he had succeeded.” Princess Chen said.

”Lord of Life and Death would still have been the highest authority, right? Everyone obeys including Bodhi Ancestor and Supreme Black Ancestor.” Li Xian said.

”I believe so because the lord has an immortal item capable of delivering life or death.” Monk Zhu said.

”Not an immortal item, a heavenly treasure.” Mu Hu said.

”Right, that’s what I heard as well.” Princess Chen nodded.

”No wonder why even supreme overlords listen to the lord then.” Li Xian murmured.

”One legend states that this heavenly treasure can grant eternal life.” The princess continued.
