Emperor’s Domination

Other young cultivators would have heeded Willow Venerable’s warning and left.

After all, not giving face to a desolate god was courting death.

”Senior, our friend does not wish to part with this lotus. Given your prestigious reputation, I’m sure you won’t press the issue.” Orchidcore bowed and said.

”Eloquent words befallen on deaf ears. You are testing my patience because in just a bit, your lives will be forfeited here.” Willow Venerable said.

”Don’t you think this is unbecoming of someone your age and cultivation?” The princess had a fiery temperament.

The old man’s gaze became piercing and intimidating.

”So strong!” Li Xian shuddered, unable to withstand the aura. He hurriedly hid behind Li Qiye and was able to breathe again.

”Junior, this won’t go the way you like.” He threatened.

The princess didn’t want to relent and arched her chest forward: ”Reason trumps all in this world. The lotus clearly has a master already yet a desolate god such as yourself does not know when to stop.” She said, arguing with logic on her side.

”You got a sharp tongue.” He snorted: ”We will see if you can back it up and last a few moves. Come, I will teach you all a lesson in your seniors’ stead.”

”We need no lesson from you, not to mention that you can replace my senior.” The princess retorted.

Orchidcore winked at her, telling her to tone it down.

”Hahaha, you got quite a personality.” The old man waved his hand and said: ”Since I’m in a good mood, let’s see why you were chosen by Orchid Academy and how your clans have trained you. Feel free to come one at a time or together, let me show you how vast this world is.”

His smile was one of anger and restraint. On an ordinary day, he would have killed weaker cultivators like ants.

However, he only wanted to teach them a lesson since they were from Orchid Academy. The academy wouldn’t let it go and the same for their clans and sects.

”Then I shall overestimate myself and learn from you, Senior.” Orchidcore stepped up and challenged him.

He didn’t wish to escalate the situation but as the leader of the four young saints, it was time for him to take charge and side with the princess.

”Try your best, Junior.” The old man saw Orchidcore’s cultivation, impressive but trivial compared to his.

”Very well, excuse me then.” Orchidcore said before summoning a mirror: ”Break!”

His vitality and mantra empowered the mirror. It became resplendent and released an unstoppable beam.

The old man didn’t bother dodging and activated a simple barrier, easily stopping the beam.

”Decent treasure but shallow cultivation.” He patted his robe after nullifying the attack.

Orchidcore was mentally prepared for this after going all out but still took it hard. The cultivation gap was insurmountable.

”Clank!” He raised both hands and released a noble sword dao. A trigram symbol appeared beneath his feet.

Black and white lines pulsed outward and created an ocean of swords.

”Mobai Blade, you’re from the Mu.” The old man recognized the technique.

”Yes, and please don’t laugh since I’ve only learned the very basics.” Orchidcore said while commanding the blades to form a formation.

”Let’s see how much you have learned then.” The old man held a bamboo stick brimming with life and sprouting leaves.

”Taiji Soaring Blade!” The formation formed a sword-dao arrow, shooting it out in the blink of an eye.

”That’s a bit better.” The old man parried with his bamboo stick. The endless arrow of blades smashed against it to no avail.

”But know your limit.” He smiled and seized the initiative.

Once he swung his weapon, space and time along the path became sealed. This included the tsunami of blades, collapsing upon contact.
