Emperor’s Domination

”Whoosh!” The yin winds returned.

”Here we go.” Princess Chen felt a chill coursing down her spine.

She was bold once, believing in their ability. The loss made them understand how close they were to death, subjective to the ghosts’ whim.

”I wonder what they are.” Mu Hu murmured.

All eyes turned toward Li Xian afterward - the master of the residence who certainly had more answers.

”I don’t know, my own belief is that they’re our ancestors returning to play after being bored with hell. They want to take a look at their unfilial descendants too.” Li Xian smiled wryly.

”Hell doesn’t exist, I’m sure there are no ghosts either. This is just some fiendish creatures causing trouble.” Orchidcore Young Noble shook his head.

”Is there anything ominous at your place?” Princess Chen asked.

”Fellow Daoist, would I be alive in that case? No, that’s why I attributed this to the ancestors returning.” Li Xian explained.

The princess and the young noble exchanged glances, finding logic in his explanation. The so-called ghosts had more than enough power to wipe Li Xian out.

”Plus, if there were anything ominous and special here, someone else would have taken it long ago.” Li Xian added.

By this point, the Li was no longer considered an official clan. He was the only blood member left.

”It’s perplexing, powerful fiends appearing here for no reason whatsoever.” Orchidcore mused.

”There is an underlying secret unbeknown to us.” Monk Zhu said.

”Yes, this doesn’t happen without a reason.” The princess agreed.

”Well, can a tiny and run-down place like my residence have anything capable of hiding a secret from you all?” Li Xian waved his hands repeatedly. He absolutely didn’t want others to excavate every inch of his home.

”Don’t worry, we will not tell anyone nor do we covet your little place.” Princess Chen glared at him, causing him to turn red with an awkward smile.

As the winds grew into intensity, they gathered to form a yin tornado. Black clouds hovered above the clan and sealed it entirely.

”This is from the clan itself.” Orchidcore finally had time to assess the situation, seeing the fluctuations from within the soil.

”Ahem.” Black Witch Monarch who has been resting stood up and opened his eyes, focusing on the tornado.

”Show yourself, fiend, or don’t blame me for being ruthless and cutting you down to pieces. All of your efforts would be for nothing.” He pointed at the tornado, looking imperious.

”Is he in danger?” Princess Chen asked the group.

The tornado didn’t respond to his remark, still whirling as usual.

”So you want it the hard way.” The monarch said and picked up one bean. He touched it with the tip of his wooden sword and said: ”I will ask a god to descend and deal with you, fiend.”

”He’s really asking for it.” Monk Zhu commented.

The monarch’s formed a strange mudra with the hand holding the bean. The mudra looked foreign and uncomfortable to the spectators.

He then placed the bean on top of his wooden sword before reciting.

”Spirits of heaven, spirits of earth, gods from above, I humbly request your presence...”

”Uhh...” The four youths didn’t hear any dao mysteries coming from this ”mantra”.

”Please descend, oh great god!” He swung his sword and the bean was flicked into the air.

This was not a sword dance or technique, looking more like a madman playing frantically.

”Looks like a mortal circus.” The group wanted to laugh.

Li Xian found this ridiculous as well.

”Boom!” As they prepared to help him, a gigantic figure appeared above the residence, nearly crushing everything.

”Ahh!” Li Xian bellowed in horror.

”!!!” The group became slack-jawed because the bean did turn into a gigantic god. Its head pushed away the dark clouds and one stomp could decimate the area.

It wore mighty armored plates made from divine metals. Its weapon of choice was a golden hatchet with a radiant glow.

”Is this real?” Princess Chen rubbed her eyes, thinking that she was only seeing things. An ordinary bean turned into a god without the involvement of dao power.
