Emperor’s Domination

Her left face was as white as a peeled egg. However, her right cheek seemed to be branded by molten iron, unable to heal.

The contrast between them only made it creepier.

”Senior Coldblade.” However, they recognized her and bowed.

”You are?” Her eyes swept through them and stopped on Li Qiye momentarily before deciding he was harmless.

”We are students of Orchid Academy.” Princess Chen said with a smile: ”I was there when Senior came for a dao lesson. We truly benefited from listening to your understanding of the dao.”

”Orchid Academy, I see.” The woman’s expression softened upon hearing this.

She was a genius from God Frontier, only one step away from becoming an emperor. Her name was Fei Lengcui.

Born in the mortal world, she had the misfortune of marrying the wrong man. She was abused and lived a tough life until an ancestor from God Frontier came across her by chance.

Her talent was noted and she was taken from that family back to God Frontier. Otherwise, she would have suffered until death.

She didn’t let the ancestor down. Despite being a relatively older mortal, she made it up with effort. She surpassed those who joined earlier or were more talented in no time at all, reaching the pseudo-imperial stage.

She worked harder and was more determined, never backing down on any challenge. This was because these challenges were nothing compared to the despair she had faced as a helpless mortal woman.

Cultivation and its powers changed her fate. Why would she ever back down after being so fortunate?

Her focus was the dao of the saber, hence her title as Coldblade. She severed her given name but not her past.

As a pseudo-emperor, she could change her appearance but chose to keep the ugly scar. She didn’t mind the effect it had on other cultivators.

She had studied at Orchid Academy previously and returned to teach for a brief time. This was common for accomplished alumni as a way to pay back the academy. Of course, their tenure was never long since they had other goals in mind.

When students were lucky enough, they could even have primal ancestors or heaven-slayers as lecturers. The luckiest could have supreme overlords as well, one example being Staff Ancestor who returned from Heaven World.

The academy was filled that day with students and alumni. It wasn’t an exaggeration that as long as these students and alumni were alive, they were there to listen to Staff Ancestor.

In fact, outsiders including primal ancestors also came to listen. This was one of the largest events in Old World, a gathering of its top cultivators.

The participants were comparable to those found in the great wars. However, they came to listen instead of fight this time. They temporarily let go of hatred and feud just to listen to the dao lecture.

Such a thing only happened in Orchid Academy. The students and alumni always took pride in this.

”The heroes of the world are coming here. It’s rather dangerous, you best exercise caution.” Coldblade warned them out of goodwill.

”Thank you, Senior, we will be careful.” The group understood that she didn’t need to care for juniors like them.

”Where are you going?” She asked.

The group exchanged glances before instinctively stopping at Li Qiye. After all, they followed him here.

”Just taking a look.” Li Qiye smiled.

”We don’t have a particular destination in mind, just here to broaden our horizon.” Orchidcore added.

Coldblade frowned after hearing this and said: ”Come, I will take you along for a bit, just watch and don’t compete with anyone.”

The young ones hesitated while staring at the ocean.

”Sounds good.” Li Qiye, on the other hand, jumped on the boat.

”Thank you, Senior.” The others played along but remembered to show respect first by bowing.

Coldblade glanced at Li Qiye again, thinking that this near-mortal was so casual and relaxed about everything.
