I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2032: 24.293 Sixth Violet Star - Conversation between a father and his daughter.

The only princess of the Spirit Realm and the daughter of the current Spirit God, Xue Laira. She was born from a human mother and a spirit father. Coming out to this world as a mixed blood with her mother dying upon her birth and never seeing her father until at her current age. Of course, she was afraid of being separated from him again. Though it was a coincidence that she overheard their conversation, she didn’t want her father to leave and was about to convince him to stay only to hear that her father also hesitates and didn’t want to leave her alone like before.

Xue Laira was so happy at heart but deep inside her, she knew that her father couldn’t stay. She had to leave alone in the orphanage and one day the director of the place was absent for a few days, the children in the orphanage including her almost died from hunger. It was only until the orphanage director was found guilty that he was replaced by a kind but older director who watches over them. That was when she first learned about the sentence ’The greater one’s power is, the bigger responsibilities they have.’

She knew that her father is the ruler of all spirits and the elementals were all servile to her for this reason. She also didn’t want to see them perish because of her selfishness that’s why she told her father to go. Xue Laira wanted to save them but at the very least she didn’t wish for them to die.

Xue Laira said, ”Daddy, you must go. If you keep hesitating, many more young and low leveled elementals will be taken away by the enemies. I don’t want them to suffer, nor do I want the enemies to get stronger. That’s why you must go back. I will be fine. Grandpa Tree is with me together with Grandma Greene and everyone who signed a contract with me. Daddy, I will be safe here. So go save the rest of the spirits.”

The adults in the study were stunned by the sudden arrival of this young princess when they recalled her words, no one had expected for her to say such words.

The Spirit God Thorn frowned when he heard his daughter’s words. He knew his daughter too well. She yearns for a family. Her mother is already gone and the pain in her heart when she died left a tear on it. It was for the reason of getting wounded by someone else and once again the person she loves, Xue Laira avoided making contact with other people to avoid getting bullied. It took too long and much effort for their relationship as father and daughter to be established.

That is why Spirit God Thorn didn’t want to leave. For him, his daughter was the most important thing. He had already lost his beloved. To stand by her side openly without problems, he trained until his body changed and his powers increased. But when he had become a Spirit God, his wife was no more. Leaving only one last precious treasure for him and that was his daughter. He didn’t want to lose his beloved daughter as well.

Who would have thought that he will hear his daughter say the same familiar words of his wife from her again. Before his wife died, he had already become a Spirit God, but he tried all ways to extend her life and protect their unborn child so he had no plans on leaving and wanted to see the birth of his child like all fathers desire the most. At that time, he had already been chosen as the next Spirit God. The Spirit Realm was summoning him back for his enthronement ceremony and all, but he had refused them multiple times.

He had explained this to his wife. Not so he can leave with her permission, but to make her believe that he had no intention of leaving her behind. At that time, he heard his wife says,

’Darling, you are powerful. The most powerful of your own kind. However, because of your strength, the responsibilities attached to it will be greater and much heavier compared to what you have before. Sweetheart I didn’t want to see you turn your backs to your own people just because of us.’

These words were very similar to what her daughter is saying right now and this made him tremble. He is afraid that he will also lose his last of his family.

Spirit God Thorn appeared beside his daughter and carried her to the sofa. He knelt down on one knee which is something he had never done in his life and held Xue Laira, his daughter’s hand.

”Xue’er, daddy doesn’t want to leave. Please don’t say the same words your mother told daddy before she... was gone.” the ruler of the spirit realm said.

Xue Laira said, ”But daddy if you do not go, many spirits would suffer and this will also make the enemies stronger. Daddy, do you want this ancient forest to perish as well?”

Rendered speechless by his own daughter, Spirit God Thorn said, ”...”

”This place will not easily fall. There are far too many beings that are stronger than me in this place, sweetie this place will not fall.” Spirit God Thorn said.

Xue Laira shook her head and said, ”The human race is weak but because of this they multiply faster than the other race. Even though their lifespan cannot be compared to elves, they have higher comprehension and are more adaptable. Because of that they get stronger faster.”

”If I leave and something happens to you, I will not be able to bear it for t second time, that unparalleled pain as if someone had openly dug out my heart, I never want to experience it all over again. Xue’er, please don’t tell your father to leave you behind,” the Spirit God ThornThorn said.

Xue Laira watches her father show such weakness for the first time. It can be said that such a scene was something she never expected.

She said, ”Daddy, you didn’t leave me behind. Moreover, if you wish to, you can always come back here. I will always be waiting for you to come back.”

The two wardens, Chief Warden Lou and Warden Yun Ming, watch the whole interactions without interfering. The scene between this father and daughter is so colorful that the two choose to watch quietly like a play.

Warden Yun Ming who was holding a basket of newly basked popcorn as he whispered to his father, ”Darling, what do you think will happen next?”

”He will have to go. If he doesn’t go the little one would feel guilty every time she felt that an elemental would die. The two Elemental Emperors might feel a bit distant to her daughter. After all, they can only blame the princess if something truly happened to the spirit after all their god only stayed in the mortal realm because of her,” said the Chief Warden, Lou Wuye said.

It took a long time before Xue Laira had successfully convinced her father. Only after Spirit God Thorn left did Xue Laira, who was pretending to be strong, finally shed her tears. She actually didn’t want her father to leave but she also didn’t want the Spirit race to suffer as well. That is why she made this choice. Despite how painful it was for her, she had pushed her father away.

Only when she finally fainted that Elemental Emperor Greene had cradled her carefully in her arms. After gently wiping her tears, she kissed her forehead.

”Thank you for your kindness, your highness. We, the whole Spirit Realm, give you our greatest gratitude.” Lord Greene said.

Sigh~

Watching the whole scene unfold to this ending, Warden Yun Mind couldn’t help but comment, ”Don’t worry. As long as he closed the array summoning uncontracted from the Spirit Realm your race should be fine.”

The Elemental Emperor Greene nods his head as he understands what this divinity is talking about. Upon seeing his gentle and confident expression, he somehow felt relief.

The Chief Warden, Lou Wuye said, ”We have said what needs to be said. There is one last thing you must do. Tell it to your ruler as well. Prepare for war!”

”Yes! I will definitely inform the exalted one,” said Lord Greene but when he lifted her head again. The couple had disappeared.

After they disappeared, the Elemental Emperor of the forest, Grandpa Tree, had also arrived. He had some guesses in his mind especially when Greene appeared with such urgency. He had eavesdropped on the whole conversation and only appeared after everything was done.

He said as he took Xue Laira from Greene and said, ”Go back to your master and inform them what had been decided. I will look after the little one by myself.”

The Elemental Emperor of the Wind knew that the people of the tribe must also be informed. After all, the human race is now the collective enemies of all other races except for the beast race.
