I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2022: 24.283 Sixth Violet Star - Beyond the Split Sky

Elf Vera who had just recently woke up was asked by his king, Lord Vega about what happened to them that day. It was the very same day that huge finger had appeared out of nowhere and was seen by almost everyone in the mortal realm. With the location of the finger appearing to be where Elf Vera and the Dwarf King Garan were found, only they will be able to explain what had truly happened that day.

”My King, I also couldn’t understand what truly happened that day. To be explained in one word, it was surreal. Unless you have seen it with your own eyes you might not believe what Garan and I had seen that day,” Elf Warrior Captain Vera said.

The former elf king, Lord Vega wears a serious expression on his face. Just based on these few words from his subordinate, whatever happened that day when that hand appeared doesn’t seem to be simple. However, to understand the current situation of the city, he must know what or who might be the owner of that huge hand.

Lord Vega said, ”It’s alright. Tell me, I am listening.”

Elf Vera knew that he cannot hide what happened that day to his king. So he can only honestly tell him everything that unfolds that time. He also knew that once the king learned about it and how he had planned to sacrifice himself for the sake of the others, the king would definitely be angry.

”That day, my team and our faction decided to leave the territory. We just can no longer live in the Elven Kingdom especially with how the elven elders took over the authority now that the king of elves had gone insane. My King, Lord Valerian, it’s already too late for him. No matter what had controlled him not only took over his vessel but also destroyed his soul. It was beyond any of us to bring back his reality,”

”The elder elves had no intention of freeing him from his misery and even locked him up in the water dungeon regardless of pulling out everyone they had placed in there. It was for this reason that I was able to get out of the water dungeon. After that, we had a meeting. I had sent messages for you through the dwarfs but it seems they didn’t give it to you.”

”Because of that we had no other way to reach out to the king and then... the whole faction decided to leave the territory and find you, my king,” Elf Vera said.

The former elf king, Lord Vega understood why his faction decided to leave the territory of elves. First, with how the elder elves are trying to take over the authority that is meant for the king, meant his faction would be the largest thorn for them to control all the elves. This is also one of the reasons they decided to leave.

As for the female and children of his faction, Lord Vega had guessed that they had hidden them to the spirit realm temporarily, in the household of the elements they had signed a contract with. He had already asked his Elemental Emperor to check off a few elementals that signed a contract with his people. As expected, they found a few elves hidden in each house. However, none of these female and young elves knew what the plans of their spouses were. They only knew that to hide themselves in this place until someone had taken them out.

With the help of the elemental emperor of the wind, Greene, the elves that took refuge in the spirit realm were taken out. They were given a place to live within the ancient forest like the other dwarfs. Right now, most of them have reunited with their husbands and partners helping them with their treatment. Only Elf Vera had recently woke, but he didn’t have his own family and as such they can only leave his well being to the shamans of the tribe while they are working.

Sigh~

Lord Vega let out a helpless sigh upon hearing the details from his subordinate. Even though he is no longer their king, just the fact that they used to be loyal to him, makes it hard for Lord Vega and Prophet Heri to ignore them. To save their lives, they can only let them inside the forest.

”You are too reckless but... You have done well. Don’t you know that after you have left the elven kingdom was found by the humans and exterminated them like they have done with the dwarfs?” Lord Vega said.

Elf Vera was stunned by this news. He thought that the kingdom was exposed because of them and felt guilt for causing the extermination of the Elven Kingdom. His face, which was already pale, turned bloodless and he felt cold all over.

Prophet Heri upon seeing his situation said, ”Are you alright, Vera? Do you want me to call a shaman for you?”

”No, my queen. This servant doesn’t need it,” said Elf Vera as he tries to ignore the guilt in his heart or at least he tries to ignore it.

Lord Vega who was observing Elf Vera’s state lamented by how cruel the human had become. However, he knew that they can’t fully blame them. According to the other elves he had visited before, they said that the human soldiers were normal before and they can overpower them. Only when a thin black energy had spread in their bodies that they acted like they were under someone’s control. It’s a bit similar to the situation of King Valerian, however in his case he struggled so badly that the power chose to destroy his sanity making him crazy instead.

Prophet Heri also knew about this and comforted this man who was so responsible that he felt guilty and thought that this result was because of his choice.

”Do not blame yourself, Vera. In reality, you save some. If you hadn’t left there only you would most likely remain alive and get controlled by the enemy to fight against my husband. That was your original future and something you had avoided because of the decision you have made,” Prophet Heri said.

If it’s another person who told Elf Vera these words he most likely wouldn’t believe them but Prophet Heri is different. He knew that the most powerful ability of the former elf queen was his ability to foresee the future. Maybe if he hesitated or at least one of the messages he left was read by his king, they would have most likely stayed in the elven kingdom waiting for Lord Vega to come himself.

But those letters, none of it had reached their king. Because of this situation, they decided to take the risk and look for their king. It seems this gamble with their lives, he had won it.

The former elf king asked, ”So what happened and how did you meet with this brat from the dwarven race? I doubt that you would have helped them after what they had done.”

”We met them on our way to the ancient forest. I choose to help them because of their state. The guarded and uncontrollable hatred within their eyes, it made me realize that maybe something had happened in their kingdom. After hearing the full story of their kingdom’s downfall, I pitied them and chose to bring them with us to the ancient forest to meet their family.”

”It’s just that we didn’t expect to be found out by one of the human generals right under the command of the new marshal. That human general wanted to exterminate both the dwarfs and elves, we have no other choice but to block him but sometimes for the others. Even so, he is so powerful, especially when he uses some kind of unique power, as if the power of the universe had entered his body.”

”He had transformed into a monster and just with the pressure he emits makes I and Garan hopeless. That human general wanted to slowly crush us, slowly tormenting us to the very last second of our lives.”

”The human general after becoming a monster becomes even more ruthless. It was at that time that a huge hand and a finger descended from the broken sky. As if it broke through the void and appeared at that moment to crush the human general. In an instant, the living human becomes a pile of unknown meat!” Storied Elf Vera.

The former elf king, Lord Vega didn’t frown as if organizing all the information he had heard from his subordinates. But the more he hears, the deeper his confusion is.

”You said that you’ve seen the sky split and the hand descend? Anything else? Did you see something else?” Lord Vega asked.

Elf Vera fell in his deep thoughts as he tried to recall what happened that time. At that moment, the pressure on them was so heavy that he didn’t want to fall face first into the group. He pushed himself to turn and fall on the ground lying on his back. The pressure was so much that he felt his whole body was being crushed. For some reason he felt his mind a bit refreshed at that time.

He recalls seeing the split sky and the hand, but he is sure that he had seen something else in the heavens above him at that time.

”That’s right! There are eyes... looking down beyond the split sky is a pair of silver irises. Devoid of emotions but overlooking everything within the land.” Elf Vera described.
