I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2010: 24.271 Sixth Violet Star - Return of the Hidden Guards

Back to the Star where the God of Destruction and his group currently resides.

Borderland. Commander’s office.

At the main building where the Commander’s office is located, the Ninetailed Fox Beastmen Leader Huzi and his mate, the Beast God Mo Minkong had temporarily returned to rest while their guarding duties were taken over by some soldiers. Together with them are the two systems, Zhi Yue and Zhi Yang, who were tasked by the God of Destruction himself to protect the two of them. The Leader of the beastman race is still wishing to return to the ancient forest to check on his tribe but was stopped by the two systems.

”Uncle Huzi, it’s not that you can’t return. But coming back now is not possible. The hidden villain in that city will definitely try to catch you. After all, you and Uncle Mo are currently the only people in this world who can be used to threaten the two princes. Once that happens the destruction of this world would be forwarded as well. Without the beloved children’s complete awakening, your world will end with the extinction of this star. Is that what you wish to happen?” Zhi Yue, the Moon God, said.

Beastmen Leader, Lord Huzi said, ”Isn’t it more dangerous for the tribe to stay in the forest? The city is just right beside it!”

”No. The ancient forest will be alright. There are enough fighters in that place. But once you appear the one controlling the villains in that place will definitely make a move that puts not only your life in danger but everyone in the tribe. To seize you is the same as seizing the weakness of Master and Lord Ye. The enemy will definitely not turn a blind eye for that chance.” Zhi Yang, the Sun God said.

The beast god, Lord Mo Minkong asked, ”When we first arrived in the borderlands why didn’t he make a move against us? We are within his arm’s length and that is the perfect chance.”

”That is either he hasn’t taken control over the vessel or... Because the border is closer to the place where the lords are. He didn’t dare to move.”

Zhi Yue exclaimed, ”Lord Hei is extremely overprotective towards his family and people. Those who knew him wouldn’t intentionally anger him unless they are insane themselves.”

Thinking of their two sons, the eldest is a bit emotionless but extremely caring of the youngest and the youngest who is mischievous yet so hard to scheme at. Lord Huzi and Lord Mo Minkong couldn’t help but smile. Beast God Mo can still recall how his two sons reacted when they found their Uncle Heri and his family in the city during their first time coming to the human lands. To openly reveal their identities as demigods and as his sons, even Marshal Long at that time had no choice but to back away.

Beast God Mo Minkong commented with a smile, ”Indeed, they are a bit too overprotective.”

”Of course they are! Don’t know how much they bullied Xiao Long just because their sister likes the kid?” The Ninetailed Fox Beastman Huzi said.

Sigh~

After thinking about it for a while, Lord Huzi sighed. He finally gave up returning to the tribe. At least for now, he wouldn’t dare do so. He didn’t want to put his children in a bad position by putting himself in danger. Compared to the life of his tribe, his children and mates are his priority. He had informed the elder beastmen about this as well. Even so, the tribe still accepted him as their leader. It was for this reason alone that he was willing to stand up as their race’s leader.

Beast God Mo Minkong asked, ”Xiao Yue, Xiao Yang, you two met Xiao Jing and Xiao Ye. What are their plans?”

”They will only come out when the Evil Beast God or the hidden villain in the city makes his move. Before that they couldn’t,” said Zhi Yue.

Zhi Yang said, ”Because them making a move meant that the world is truly about to end.”

”The possibility of them not making a move?” Beast God Mo Minkong asked.

Zhi Yang instantly answered, ”None.”

The whole room was engulfed into a short silence until the Beast God who had experienced the world reset pinched his temples. World Destruction and World Reset are completely different things. The latter meant the Heavenly Laws made a move to save the world and it was successful. But if it’s the former, it meant that the heavenly laws were helpless and can only ask help from higher realm gods. Just this response of Zhi Yang and Zhi Yue signifies that the real identities of their children is much more important than he expected.

The Beast God Mo Minkong mumbles, ”Upper realm Gods.”

Zhi Yue and Zhi Yang remained calm under the gaze of the Beast God who is now looking at them directly. Zhi Yue was even grinning like a silly doe.

”Then our children...were they even alive? I heard when the gods of the upper realm descend their vessels were chosen among the recently dead ones. Our eggs... they died in that human laboratory didn’t they? Together with the vessels of the two Ancient Lords and the pair you called as wardens. Only the bodies of you two are the original. Am I right?” Beast God Mo Minkong asked.

It was at this moment that the atmosphere between the two systems had turned serious. It might only be a split moment of seriousness but both Mo Minkong and Huzi had noticed the difference. Especially Huzi, who didn’t expect to hear the truth about their eggs.

He was only careless for one day and fell asleep deeply from fatigue. The next time he opened his eyes, his eggs were stolen. When he found his eggs that day alive, he thought he was lucky. Now suddenly hearing an unexpected truth from his mate, he was shocked.

”Are you... tell me... my cubs... my eggs... they were killed... in that laboratory... and I... I...”

Seeing the state his mate, Beast God Mo Minkong sent his qi to calm his spouse’s overwhelming emotions.

”Wife calm down. Our children might have died but don’t you see them alive,” said Mo Minkong to his mate.

Lord Huzi looked at him with eyes full of tears and asked, ”Alive?”

”Yes. All vessels picked by the Upper Realm Gods would be revived after the divinity left their bodies. Their souls will be restored and they will be reborn.” Zhi Yang said.

Zhi Yue said, ”The moment Milord and Lord Hei had chosen your children’s bodies to descend in this world. Their fading souls were protected. Once the lords are done with their missions, the body they left behind will be reconstructed and your children will be reborn.”

”Their souls were protected by the divine souls of the gods so... Unless the god dies, they shall not be harmed,” added Zhi Yang.

Zhi Yue said, ”Moreover, the affections of the lords towards you came from them. Why do you think the divine ones are protecting you so much?”

It was only at this moment that Mo Minkong and Lord Huzi understood why their interactions with their sons were never awkward even after learning that the souls they were interacting with were not truly their sons but divine beings from the words beyond.

”If the time comes when we need to leave, you will meet the real souls, and our masters, they will send your sons back to you.” Zhi Yang said. ”For that reason alone, you mustn’t place the lords in danger. With their strength and how fragile this world is, they can only make a move once. More than once and his world will be gone forever. That’s what their enemies wanted to achieve by finding their weakness in this world which is the two of you.”

”This is also the reason why you cannot go to the city. If you are that worried, use what was given to you by the lords.” Zhi Yue said.

Lord Huzi said, ”The Hidden Guards?”

”Lord Hei never gives ordinary things away to people he takes a liking to.” Zhi Yue said with a knowing smile.

As if understanding something, the Beast God summoned their hidden guards. They had sent half to check on the city and they thought they were dead. But when they summoned all the guards, their numbers had returned to normal and those whom they sent away before had all returned unharmed. This time even Lord Huzi was dumbfounded.

The task he had given to the hidden guards before is no different from a suicide mission. In short, they were destined to die. When they saw the flare being lit up in the evening sky, they never expected them to return as they were destined to die. Those are the fate of hidden guards who is no different from a death soldier.

The Ninetailed Fox Beastmen looked at them in disbelief and said, ”Alive. You guys are still alive!?”
