I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2023: 24.284 Sixth Violet Star - Vassal

Learning about the pair of silver eyes that was witnessed by Elf Vera, the former elf king and now the guardian of the ancient forest, Lord Vega as well as his mate and prophet of the beastman race, Lord Heri were speechless when Elf Vera described the eyes he had seen on the sky that day. However, one person immediately came to mind when that description was heard by the two of them.

The youngest prince of their tribe, Prince Hei Anjing.

Upon seeing the reaction of the queen and the king, Elf Vera had an inkling that maybe these two knew something about that finger and that gorgeous pair of eyes. Just as he was about to ask about it but stopped when he saw his king shook his head, he realized that it might be a secret about this tribe where his master is now included.

Thinking about the fallen elven kingdom, Elf Vera made a decision to serve under their king. He stood up ignoring the pain in his body, so much that most of his wound opened.

Prophet Heri frowned and said with a reprimanding voice, ”What are you doing? Your wounds are opening up!”

”Darling, wait,” said Lord Vega.

The couple watched as Elf Vera had kneeled on one knee. ”My king, my queen, the rest of our elven race vow to serve the two of you. Whether it was in hell or in heavens we shall always be by your side serving you until the last of our breath. Please accept us under your wings!”

An unexpected vow yet it was solemn and truthful. An oath made with the heavens as a witness this is some Elf Vera can never go back against. Even if in the future his chosen master had asked him to kill someone he doesn’t have to kill, to survive he must do so. The former elf king, Lord Vega didn’t accept the vow of Elf Vera right away. After all, his standing before and now is different. His first priority is his family and then the tribe. If Elf Vera wanted to be included, the fastest way is to be included into the tribe.

Lord Vega, despite being their former king, can no longer promise that he would choose them over his current family. However, he also wishes to accept them as one of them. At the very least that is what his heart is telling him.

He said, ”Vera, my current standing is the guardian of the ancient forest and also the guardian that protects the beastmen race. If you want to serve me then, you can only become a vassal of the beastmen race and fall under by wing. Is that alright with you?”

”I am willing!” Lord Vera said.

Voices resound outside saying, ”We are all willing!” When Lord Vega and Prophet Heri looked out of the hospital tent, they were surprised that the rest of the elves were on their knees like Elf Vera.

Unknown to them upon hearing that Elf Vera had awakened, most elves desired to see him only to hear the conversation between their former king and current leader. Seeing their leader accept the conditions then from now on, Lord Vega will once again be their king and the beastman race will be their ally with the royal beastman family as their masters.

They had been staying in the ancient forest for days. Even though the dwarf seems to be afraid of them, the beastmen race was too welcoming. When they heard that it was because of their guardian that they could accept him they were even confused. Only when they learned that the guardian is none other than their former elf king, they were speechless.

It was only recently that they learned that the reason why their former elf king had become the guardian of the beastmen race is not only because of his relationship with the prophet of this race, but because he had saved the young princes before. It was thanks to that and the trust the royal beastmen family gave that all the beastmen now treated Lord Vega as one of them and a powerful guardian that protects their tribe.

Now hearing the oath of their leader, they had fully accepted their standings. Moreover in this tribe except for the royal family, everyone else is equal including the beastmen elders and shamans. Only the royal family was above them and the reason for that is because they are the strongest. So strong that even their former king was not a match at all.

Seeing them like this former elf king Lord Vega, recall the scenes when he was still the Elf King. This is the similar scene in his memories and most of these elves were still the same as those in the past. Even though he was kicked out because of falling for another race, these people had always supported them even in the end, he had to leave them all behind.

Lord Vega felt a welling pride and delight coming from his heart. He said, ”Since you have decided, I cannot become your king. In the tribe, there is only the royal family who bears such a title. You can call me Lord. This time I will not leave any of you behind.”

Hearing the promise to the leader who had chosen his family over them before, they didn’t blame him. After all, given such a choice they will most likely choose the same thing. Even though they weren’t angry with their king they were a bit disappointed. Why didn’t he ask them to leave with them, even though they knew that this is because the king couldn’t be sure if he could give them a land to live into, they still feel sad at heart. If not for Lord Vera they would most likely succumb to the fake promises of the new elf king.

Now hearing what their lord is telling them about not leaving them anymore, they felt joy in their hearts. At least at this moment they have gained a new page in their lives and they will be able to begin a new life. Normally, it took a royal family to approve the acceptance of vassals within the tribe. Without the current leaders, Lord Huzi and the Beast God Lord Mo Minkong as well with the two princes missing only Lord Prophet can make strong decisions in the tribe.

Prophet Heri had accepted the elves and placed them under the command of the Lord Guardian. The beastmen race was so welcoming that it flattered the elven race. Before this meeting, they’ve always thought that the beastmen race is full of savage. This is what the elder elves had taught them when they were young. Now it seems not everything the elder elves had said seems to be true. It is only now that they understood it.

Now that the elves had completed their ceremony of vassalship, the elder shamans had given them land closer to the center. Which is completely different from the lands at the outer region of the ancient forest. Within the inner and core region of the ancient forest, the land is more fertile and clean. There is also a powerful source of qi which allows them to get stronger faster. With some beastmen warriors as sparring partners, the strength of the elves had been increasing a lot.

As for their captain Vera who was formerly their lord, he got scolded by the youngest shaman for once again opening his wound. He got beaten up before getting treated and was even chained on his bed until he was fully healed. Thinking of the expression of their captain, the elves and the beastmen were all snickering as they passed before the hospital and sneaking a peak on him.

Meanwhile, seeing the elves and beastmen getting along, the dwarfs felt desolated. They were thankful that the beastmen still gave them some resources and that they are free to do as they wish as long as they do not enter the inner and center region. They were guests, the uninvited kind. The beastmen race were already kind enough to protect them from the humans who were hunting them.

But comparing their lives to the elves who had become the vassals of the beastmen race, the treatment between the two races is still heaven and earth. The elves were now allowed to freely enter the market place and join their weekend feast but the dwarfs weren’t. Without the approval of the royal blood from the beastmen race, it is impossible for the beastmen to fully trust the dwarf like the elves.

There is also a problem. Even though the remnant of the dwarf race wanted to become the vassal of the beastmen like the elves, without a proper representative they couldn’t even speak up. The problem that their dwarf king hasn’t woken up yet is also something they couldn’t control. So they had no other choice but to wait. Wait until their king who hasn’t woken up finally opens his eyes.

At the hospital tent, the last patient who had fallen into a deep slumber had finally opened his eyes. The shaman who usually checked on this patient was stunned when he saw the dwarf king awake.

”Wake? You’re awake! I’m going to tell the others!!”
