Our Family Has Fallen

Chapter 1306: Chapter 711: Today We Are All Hamlet’s People

For Hamlet’s people, they don’t have the habit of abandoning teammates, especially when this place is occupied by evil. Alive, they want to see the person; dead, they want to see the body. Even if they are going to die, they will snatch the corpse back from the hands of those evil forces.

Although as a whole, Hamlet doesn’t have great morality, these Honor Guard members are all definitely the Lord’s fervent ”die-hard fans,” and they truly follow the Lord’s propagated words in their actions.

Even Tadiff, born from a bounty hunter background, and Laura from the Eagle Flock, tacitly accept this belief. Without a doubt, after staying in Hamlet for a long time, one really gets assimilated.

However, for those adventurers, it’s different. They’re not my teammates, so why the hell should I care?

Not to mention, even if it’s their own teammates, when things go south, they fend for themselves. Going back to rescue, what kind of selfless spirit is that?

No, that’s just insane!

The team exhibited a clear divide, which the few Honor Guard commanders were not surprised by. A simple exchange of looks completed their communication, then they spoke to indicate.

”Anyway, the evacuation point is given, you go ahead, the rest is our Hamlet’s own business.”

These words visibly let those adventurers breathe a sigh of relief. They feared being roped in to risk their lives for strangers; now, they just wanted to quickly evacuate.

But some people didn’t think that way...

Having been deceived by Lance several times, Martin was instantly on alert when encountering such situations. These Hamlet people were as sinister as their Lord; they definitely couldn’t be easily trusted.

He strongly suspected that these Honor Guards were deliberately setting up to have them draw those skeletons away and then break through from another direction?

This was very likely, as advancing such a big team would draw away surrounding skeletons, leaving other areas vacant if the skeletons didn’t fill in quickly, allowing them to escape more easily.

Who knew if they were truly short on people, meaning they planned to use these adventurers as bait? No wonder they gathered so many people, so this is their actual plan.

Indeed, it must be this way!

Just because Martin was old didn’t mean he was senile. His mind was quick, as if realizing something, but he didn’t voice his doubts about the Honor Guard’s actions; instead, he fell silent. Because he also wanted to use those adventurers as targets to lure away skeletons and ease his own breakout stress.

Time was of the essence, and those adventurers didn’t waste any words, directly preparing to move and break through. But before they left the building, they sensed something amiss.

The Mendicant Monk didn’t move, and the Candlelight Priest naturally didn’t react either.

”Master Martin, let’s hurry,” someone couldn’t help but remind, and everyone’s gaze inevitably fell on the Mendicant Monk.

But Martin wasn’t intimidated by this, instead, he spoke righteously.

”You go first; in such an evil place, I must help them. The Holy Light will not abandon anyone.”

Martin also wanted to raise the Church’s banner, speaking eloquently, revealing their intention to act alongside Hamlet’s people.

But who didn’t know Hamlet doesn’t even have a church? When did church people become Hamlet’s people?

Those adventurers were well aware that the main force for the breakout was actually the church duo; without them, how could they fight against skeletons?

The team that was initially eager due to the evacuation signal calmed down instantly. They were all adults; those who could enter here weren’t fools and quickly realized something.

”Our Mercenary Corps was saved by Hamlet’s people; without them, there’s no us. At this time, how can we just walk away? We’ll stay to help and definitely save the remaining people!”

Scorpion came in with beautiful rhetoric, leaving others bewildered. Hold on, you’re not Hamlet’s people either, right? Previously, we heard you were caught; what did they feed you? Or did they grasp a hold on you?

All right, all right, so it’s like this, huh.

The other adventurers also reacted, spouting various incredible statements even they didn’t believe.

”Without Hamlet, there’s no me; at this moment, let’s be Hamlet’s people too!”

”No matter who fights skeletons, our Mercenary Corps will definitely assist!”

”Hamlet’s kindness is unrepayable...”

The team that was initially about to split oddly merged again, and even the momentum grew stronger, showing a ”resolute” stance akin to coexisting and perishing with Hamlet.

Insanity!

Hamlet’s people looked on at their baffling reactions with difficulty to maintain composure. Whoever truly believed these adventurers would be befuddled, but they didn’t say much else about it.

No matter their intentions, since they declared this, let them join; the more people, the more power.

The Hamlet group also knew the evacuation time wouldn’t be long. They must quickly find the missing team, and Laura’s eagle has already flown around several times but without much discovery.

However, those born from Hamlet’s army have their own ideas. They wouldn’t waste time waiting for that signal. If it didn’t come, would they wait for death?

”If they see the evacuation signal, they’ll surely move in this direction.”

”If they’re trapped, then the surrounding skeleton density will definitely be greater, while also attracting those skeletons. We can explore from this direction.”
