Beneath the Red Dragon

The Jackal Wolfman Leader Yougu received a message from the flying bird, learning it was the Red Dragon’s summons, and hurriedly led the warriors who patrolled the territory back relentlessly.

This guy, eager to prove his worth and ability, led the powerful warriors to continuously launch attacks during the rest time of the tribe’s land reclamation every day.

His activity range had already surpassed the southernmost Baystream City, but closer to the seaside.

The many giant demon slaves who were building castles for the Giant Dragon in the mountains now are credited to this guy.

Several smaller ogre tribes were also conquered by this aggressive fellow Yougu and were all sent back as slaves.

Karon also watched Yougu’s performance.

To him, having ambition among his subordinates is a good thing; most importantly, it’s whether a person has the ability to create value for him.

And now Yougu’s opportunity has come; Karon decided to dispatch Yougu to the Greenfield Forest to establish an outpost and investigate the situation.

Other beloved within the territory, now that the dragon-blooded Centaur Chiron leading centaur warriors is the most powerful military unit under the Giant Dragon.

Their combat power is stronger than these Jackal Wolfmen, and they are accustomed to living and fighting in the forest, with archery skills that can rival elves.

However, Karon does not intend to mobilize the centaur warriors; firstly, because the territory needs these loyal warriors to guard.

The loyalty of these warriors has long been proven; Karon trusts these centaurs even more than the kobolds.

Secondly, it is the newly subdued Jackal Wolfman Beloved, who are aggressive by nature. Karon believes these guys need to bleed and sacrifice their bodies for the territory to better integrate into its domain.

After all, for these guys to fight for a certain goal makes it easier for them to feel a sense of belonging to the territory.

Rather than currently being forcibly incorporated into the territory due to the overwhelming might and power of the Giant Dragon.

This also fits Karon’s principle of employing people: you’re aggressive, great, I’ll give you a chance to invade the world.

Like the Bronze Dragon Alina, who prefers governance, Karon wouldn’t send her into battle even in the upcoming hunt for the unknown roaming Red Dragon outside the territory.

Karon doesn’t believe anyone is omnipotent; even deities, like the great Platinum Dragon God Bahamut, have things they cannot accomplish.

But for a ruler, if you can make the best use of everyone, then you can be considered an outstanding ruler.

Karon wouldn’t trust Mage Xiuse’s words easily, just because of their previously harmonious cooperation.

Besides, many ages have passed, and no one knows what changes might have occurred in the Greenfield Forest; he wouldn’t rashly step into the Greenfield Forest without intelligence.

Yougu and his warriors, after exhausting dozens of earth wolves, finally arrived at the foot of the mountains.

At this moment, two more dragon nests are being built atop the mountains; Red Copper Dragon Alfred and Bronze Dragon Alina are earning the recognition of the Dragon Group with their performances.

With Mage Xiuse’s improved papermaking and printing techniques, the civil servant Fafnir in the Golden City has begun publicly recruiting craftsmen within the city.

The paper mills and printing workshops are gradually being set up, currently prioritizing supplying Alfred’s propaganda business.

And Alfred has compiled and revised Karon’s stories; the first batch of story novels is now printed into books.

The novels are being promoted through the channels in the Golden City, and plans are made to spread them to other human nations by the trade caravans.

In this situation, Alfred surprisingly has little time to build his ideal dragon nest; he just chose his peak, residing near Bronze Dragon Alina’s nest.

Bronze Dragon Alina, however, is a workaholic, not only leading the Pioneer Corps to reclaim land and build cities in the Land of the Gulf Stream, but also finding time to return and construct her nest.

Under Alina’s hard work, the selected mountain looks like a pillar with its tip already flattened; the flat top of the mountain has been dug to form a huge, deep tunnel, resembling a vast, deep lake.

Bronze Dragon Alina plans to wait until the entire lake nest is filled with rainwater before making the final modifications.

However, now a third waterfall descends from the mountain peak amidst the mountains, forming a beautiful scenic line.

Not only do the beloved dragons enjoy coming to the pool formed at the foot of the waterfall in the afternoon to rest and play, many adventurers from the famed Golden City also come here for sightseeing.

The green dragon Antajena, calculating and thrifty, planned to charge those who came for sightseeing, fortunately stopped by White Dragon Gomot.

White Dragon Gomot doesn’t like the idea of the Dragon Nest turning into a circus-like existence; free sightseeing isn’t a concern, as long as the imperial guards keep atop the mountainous stairs.

”Stop, Jackal Wolfman, only you can go up for the Dragon Lord’s summons,”

The towering imperial guards, clad in refined iron armor like ironman cans, blocked the Jackal Wolfman’s team. Their crimson cloaks and armor drew all the Jackal Wolfmen’s attention.

With his gifted physique and tall frame, Jackal Wolfman Yougu was merely average before the imperial guard. His mouth almost drooled like other filthy Jackal Wolfmen, greedily eyeing the fully armed Imperial Guard Warrior in front of him.
