Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 180: Chapter 73: Greenfield Forest (Part 2)

But now Karon’s dragon group has gradually expanded to the doorstep of Kaidelos, the young Red Dragon. Although Giant Dragons don’t need to mark their territory by sprinkling dragon urine on the border, Black Dragon Rosani and White Dragon Camid did not hesitate to do so.

These two vile creatures used the scent of urine to mark the entire border adjoining Kaidelos the Red Dragon’s territory.

Fortunately, Kaidelos, the Red Dragon, hasn’t completely filled his brain with lava. When he claimed his territory during adolescence, he was cautious enough not to blatantly mark his territory but tried to conceal himself. How could these weak young dragons dare to come out alone and mark their territory?

The Red Dragon, with his not fully solidified brain, guessed that there must be a Giant Dragon family behind these young dragons, perhaps an adult Blue Dragon behind them. Only those can bring back various colored Giant Dragon eggs, hatch them, and raise them.

But upon further observation, he found that the most powerful Giant Dragon in this dragon group was just a teenage Blue Dragon. That Blue Dragon acts as the leader and is quite diligent, flying over the dragon group’s territory every few days to survey their lands.

Among the marking scents, the smell of this teenage Blue Dragon is the strongest, which affirmed Kaidelos’s thoughts.

”Tsk, let’s observe for a few more days. If it turns out that the leader of that dragon group is such a weak Blue Dragon, then this dragon group doesn’t deserve such a vast territory. They should all become the vassals of strong Red Dragons like me, Kaidelos. Only the great Red Dragons are worthy of those beautiful, charming female dragons and that fertile land,”

Kaidelos, the Red Dragon, continued to maintain the caution of a solitary Evil Dragon, he quietly squinted his eyes and whispered, ”When the time comes, should I challenge that weak Blue Dragon and become their leader, or should I charge in and knock them all down? Let me think, how to appear more majestic, to showcase the greatness of me, Kaidelos, the mighty Red Dragon!”

The Red Dragon smack his lips, his thoughts jumping to the dilemma of which dragoness to take down first.

”Nevertheless, I won’t take risks lightly. Rashly entering other dimensions is a dangerous affair,” Karon shook his head, though Giant Dragons are inherently advantaged in adapting to worlds, entering other dimensions hardly brings severe suppression or impact.

But Karon never believes that Giant Dragons are invincible. Besides, he is just a young dragon, still possessing a vast and bright growth prospect and future. There’s no need to risk for some lost magical knowledge when the reward doesn’t even remotely match the risk.

If the rewards greatly outweigh the risks, perhaps Karon would consider for three more seconds before refusing, but now, Karon almost instantly rejected the opinion of Squinting Mage Xiuse without thinking.

”Karon, we certainly wouldn’t demand you to rush into those powerful, dangerous dimensions. In fact, based on some historical remnants we’ve found, we’ve mastered many dimensional coordinates.”

”Through our sorting and organizing, these dimensional coordinates represent dimensions with rough records and danger level categorizations. We will first explore the lowest energy level dimensions, and we can share this knowledge with you as well.”

Mage Xiuse began to persuade with his words, Red Dragons are natural conquerors, possessed with endless desire for conquest. Even though Karon is not driven by the Red Dragon’s will and desires, the instinct of desire always remains, unless Karon is not a Red Dragon.

”Moreover, the first exploration target we chose is specially for you, Karon,” Xiuse squinted as he attempted to open his eyes wide, trying to show his sincere gaze.

”This dimension is named ’Greenfield Forest’ by us. Restricted by the native dimension of Greenfield Forest, this dimension has hardly produced a Saint Tier expert since the exploration by the Magic Empire, belonging to the lowest tier in terms of energy level and danger among all dimensional coordinates,”

”In theory, your Mage group can easily explore such a dimension. With a considerable number of High Tier Mages, you should be able to walk freely in that dimension without experiencing much suppression,” Karon squinted his eyes slightly, finding a flaw in the Mage’s words.

The squinting Mage shook his head and said, ”Although that dimension is small and average in power, almost all of the land is densely forested, with native inhabitants nearly limitless in number, consisting of primordial elf variants. Their strength receives some amplification in the forest,”

”Under such terrifying numbers, even a High Tier Mage, with careless action, could be taken down by unknown arrows and spears. After all, a Mage’s Magic Power isn’t infinite, and Spiritual Power does deplete.”

Karon nodded in agreement, such a situation is indeed troublesome. Even if a Saint Tier Great Mage goes there, a single Magic could obliterate hundreds or thousands of native creatures, unless one possesses the Mighty Power to suppress the entire dimension, otherwise, the endless consumption would be enough trouble for these Mages.

In these circumstances, Giant Dragons and their Beloved retain a great advantage; by donning well-forged Iron Armor, they can gradually clear out those native inhabitants. With the spell-casting enhancements from these Mages, there’s nothing to fear from the native inhabitants birthing Caster.
