Beneath the Red Dragon

These Titans use them as meat shields and Magic Shields, while the great power of the Titan Demon Python can also repel the attack of a Giant Dragon. However, this creature is rare in the Main Plane, usually only existing in special planes.

Karon looked at this Titan Demon Python, the black scales occasionally mixed with patterns indicating it is not a pureblood, but a hybrid python.

”No wonder it’s so small,” Karon thought, considering that a twenty-meter-long Titan Python was still malnourished. Unlike the linear growth of snakes and Giant Dragons, a twenty-meter Titan Python, only as thick as a water tank, is already considered weak.

If it were a Giant Dragon twenty meters long, you might be facing a dragon that could confront a Legend.

The Red Dragon spread its wings, hovering in the air, its intense Dragon Power spreading, but the Titan Demon Python on the ground showed no fear, instead hissing in a low, warning growl, cautioning the Red Dragon not to cross.

”What a pity, this creature is too stupid, its muscles probably block its brain, like some mastiffs, although once tamed, they’re extremely loyal, recognizing only one master in their lifetime, they are suitable as guard pets, but this hybrid Titan Demon Python is already mature and hard to tame.”

Karon hovered in the air, gathering Magic Wind in his large Dragon Claw, sending a probing spell that landed on the thick body of the Titan Demon Python.

This was the Slowdown Skill, used to delay a creature’s actions, but the Magic Energy of the spell seemed to encounter some obstacle and was absorbed by the python’s scales.

”Tsk,” such outstanding magic resistance, considering that the Red Dragon’s magic, with an immeasurable output of Magic Power, has greater spell strength than generally cast by a mage, yet even low-tier spells might have little effect on this hybrid Titan Demon Python.

Although knowing that Low Tier Skills and Tricks are probably ineffective against the Titan Demon Python, Karon kept casting one spell after another from his claws.

Frost Freeze Beam, Undead Strike, Touch of Fatigue, Arrow Shooting Skill, Fire Blade Skill, Strong Acid Arrow etc., were all used by the Red Dragon, continuously bombarding the coiled, poised Titan Demon Python, which growled lowly.

Although the Titan Demon Python’s resistance to Magic Elements was excellent, some scales still had slight marks under Karon’s magical bombardment.

For Karon, this was equivalent to a spell practice; it’s rare to find a living target like the Titan Demon Python, so Karon took the opportunity.

Moreover, during usual hunts, Karon would also utilize prey to continually practice certain abilities and skills, partly to provide the sub-brain with data collection opportunities, and partly because Karon refused to allow himself to be lazy, seizing every chance for growth.

Even though this Titan Demon Python was powerful, and even some Young Dragons might fail against it, like some of the white Giant Dragon species, in Karon’s eyes, it was just a thicker piece of beef jerky.

The Red Dragon had many ways to deal with it, even with physical strength alone Karon could easily crush this Titan Demon Python.

”Huh, it seems that against opponents with remarkable physical magic resistance, spells targeting the spirit and will are very effective,” Karon flew slowly around the Titan Demon Python, its head followed his movement, showing irritation in its beastly eyes as spells from the Red Dragon were cast continuously, yet it was extremely cautious and insidious, searching for an opportunity.

At this moment, Karon cast a spell aimed at the creature’s will, a Dizziness Skill and Fury Skill, which immediately elicited a response from the coiled Titan Demon Python.

The thick body of the Titan Demon Python swayed and stretched like a spring, its upper body springing up, pupils narrowed with rage, as it opened its mouth in vain to bite at the leisurely Red Dragon in mid-air.

Clang, clang,

The serpent’s upper and lower teeth clashed, ringing like iron, but the Red Dragon had already distanced itself, so even with a surprise attack by this Titan Python, it couldn’t touch a hair on the Red Dragon.

In its fury, the Titan Demon Python’s long tail thrashed, breaking tall and thick stone monuments into pieces, large stone fragments exploding like charged shells, severing thick trees in the jungle, creating deep craters on the ground.

Yet, the Red Dragon was indifferent, spells surfacing between its Dragon Claws, continuing to bomb the frenzied yet futile Titan Demon Python, an idea suddenly flashing in Karon’s mind.

Each spell requires a mage’s Spiritual Power to sketch the Spell Model, then mobilizing Magic to output Magic Power according to the Spell Model to cast a complete spell.

Generally, a mage can only cast one spell at a time, but mages with strong Spiritual Power might cast two or three simultaneously, though there are serious limitations.

The strength of a mage, aside from power level, lies in how many spell models they can memorize and sketch skillfully.

But no matter how strong a mage is, the number of spell models they can learn and master is limited, and such spellcasting requires reaction time. In certain dangerous moments, many mages can’t react in time, casting their magic and instead getting killed by an attack.
