Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 152: Chapter 66: Alina the Giant Dragon Supremacist (Part 3)

Red Copper Dragon Alfred had completely forgotten the purpose of accompanying Bronze Dragon Alina here, which is the selfish nature of a Giant Dragon.

Driven by his own interests, even if Alfred had become partners with Bronze Dragon Alina, he would still prioritize his own desires.

In the expectant gaze of Red Copper Dragon Alfred, Karon shook his head; this matter didn’t require a decision from the Dragon Group, he could provide an answer immediately.

Facing the Red Copper Dragon, the Red Dragon solemnly said, ”Alfred, as a distinguished guest of the Dragon Group, you are free to linger and play in the mountains. The Dragon Group and I welcome your arrival.”

”However, if you wish to join the Dragon Group and have your own nest at the mountain’s peak, you must prove your abilities and bring contribution and value to the Dragon Group. This is the only way for the Dragon Group to accept you.”

The Red Dragon’s crimson eyes flickered with a glow called persuasion, as he slowly spoke, ”Otherwise, even if I allow you to directly join the Dragon Group, these Giant Dragons won’t genuinely accept you.”

The light of expectation in Red Copper Dragon Alfred’s eyes dimmed as he muttered, ”Contribution and value, what contribution and value can I bring to the Dragon Group? Besides boasting and loving to tell stories, what else do I know? I’m not even that good at fighting. Alfred, think, think with your clever head.”

Karon couldn’t help but find the Red Copper Dragon’s behavior amusing. This Giant Dragon’s unique temperament was quite to his liking. Karon had never seen a hint of prejudice in Red Copper Dragon Alfred’s eyes, as if that clear simplicity had occupied all of this Red Copper Dragon’s perception.

But for Bronze Dragon Alina, Karon straightforwardly asked, ”Beautiful Miss Alina, I roughly understand your purpose. If you gain the approval of the Dragon Group, I assure you, the members of the Dragon Group will not reject or target you because you are a Bronze Dragon.”

Karon’s eyes scanned the Dragon Group, observing their reactions clearly.

The young dragons wagged their tails rapidly; although the Five-Color Dragons harbored prejudice against the Metal Dragons, under a friendly meeting, the instincts of the male Giant Dragons began to prevail.

With their reproductive systems gradually developing, these young male dragons started to become restless, and the aesthetically pleasing Bronze Dragon before them became their object of fantasy.

Young Blue Dragon Akzhi nodded repeatedly, losing his usual composure, and hurriedly said, ”Ah yes, yes, everything Karon said is right!”

Only two female dragons, the Female Red Dragon Kleyna and Female Green Dragon Antajena, remained indifferent. In the eyes of these Giant Dragons, most of the time, Karon’s decision equaled the decision of the Dragon Group.

What Karon referred to as the Dragon Group’s approval was merely his own desire to test Bronze Dragon Alina’s knowledge.

Bronze Dragon Alina nodded and then said, ”I don’t know if the Dragon Group merely seeks to be a lord ruling over a land or to establish a proper Dragon-ruled kingdom. If it’s just to be a lord, I can only offer some minor suggestions to the Dragon Group.”

”Hmm, let’s say we want to build a Dragon-ruled kingdom,” Karon nodded, indicating for Bronze Dragon Alina to continue.

”If it’s to establish a kingdom, then first a governmental system should be determined. Even if personnel is scarce at the beginning, the framework of the governmental system should be built and gradually filled in and replaced later,”

”This can also prevent the chaos of certain powers at the beginning from creating some kind of unspoken rule zone. If such unspoken rules persist, they will turn into a tumor and a trouble.”

Bronze Dragon Alina spoke eloquently, ”For example, the affairs office of the Golden City oversees all matters of the Golden City but lacks subdivisions of responsibilities and associated officials, leading to extremely chaotic operations, and later becoming an obstacle during power division.”

”Furthermore, while establishing the governmental system, after referencing many kingdoms, I believe the Dragon Group’s territory is more suitable to eliminate the inherent lord class. Although those lords can help rapidly expand the territory during the initial stages, they often become a hindrance to the kingdom later,”

”The kingdom’s orders cannot surpass the will of these lords. In a Dragon-ruled kingdom, there’s no need for such a state within a state. It can be changed to appoint city administrators and military commanders by the ruler. Those who perform excellently receive rewards, while those who perform poorly are dismissed and punished.”

Karon’s expression remained calm, but he agreed with the Bronze Dragon’s suggestion in his heart. However, he did not expect Bronze Dragon Alina to propose such a feudal centralized system. In the Northern Countries, a federated, composite state structure is prevalent, and the unitary state structure proposed by the Bronze Dragon is rarely in demand.

Furthermore, Giant Dragons often wished to have a territory of their own, and he originally thought Bronze Dragon Alina’s desire was the same.

However, Karon continued to listen. Bronze Dragon Alina expressed her opinions, discussing everything from the national system to the implementation of specific laws and policies.

”Additionally, there’s the policy of reclaiming wasteland. According to the Dragon Group’s laws, all humans and other races who come to settle in this land will become Free People, and they will be provided with food, housing, and farming tools for a fixed period. They can also freely develop the land and enjoy a series of favorable policy tilts,”
