Beneath the Red Dragon

Based on the Red Dragon’s innate ability to appraise treasures, every scale on the Red Dragon’s body is worth at least several thousand Gold Coins now. Selling all these old scales would turn Karon into a wealthy dragon.

However, Karon wouldn’t waste such treasures. Ordinary Gold Coins can already be easily obtained by him without resorting to selling dragon scales, and the gains far exceed such actions.

He plans to keep these dragon scales to later create medals or special Proof of Glory, rewarding those who have made significant contributions to the Giant Dragon Territory and the kingdom.

This will be a unique reward and honor exclusive to the Giant Dragon Kingdom, and to some extent, it can enhance the cohesion and sense of superiority among subordinates. The sense of superiority is an essential aspect of a mature social system, a manifestation of social hierarchy.

Karon will make everyone understand that as long as they contribute to the Dragon Group, they will certainly be rewarded.

Counting the gradually accumulating treasures in his Treasure Vault, Karon climbed out with satisfaction and then flew into the sky, heading towards the forest.

Karon needed to hunt for food. Before a specialized team is established to provide and inspect food for the giant dragons, Karon and the Dragon Group had to hunt for themselves.

Although the powerful body of a Giant Dragon can resist and digest most of the poisons in the world, it is not completely immune to toxins. Karon trusts the Beloveds but wouldn’t entrust his safety to them without a mature food supply team.

Moreover, this trip is not only for hunting and eating but also to inspect a place chosen by Bronze Dragon Alina for the new city’s development.

To show his regard for Alina and to appear before the Pioneer Corps, this benefits his rule, and the willingness of the Giant Dragons to protect them with their formidable strength is enough to appease them.

The massive body of the Red Dragon glided through the low altitude; its expansive wings, measuring thirty-one meters, and powerful physique cast a vast shadow in the sunlight.

This journey was not rushed, primarily for inspecting the territory, so the flight speed was not rapid. Even so, the enormous wings still created strong winds with their movements.

The Beloveds at the foot of Dragon Nest Mountain were already accustomed to the sight of the Giant Dragons, only lifting their heads to watch the master of the Dragon Group fly by, occasionally raising their weapons to cheer and praise the Red Dragon’s immense power.

Suddenly, a loud explosion sounded from a place, and Karon looked down. The dust-covered Goblin Bang Bang emerged in a sorry state from a half-collapsed house, while a strong Dragon Descendant was supporting the house’s beam for Goblin Bang Bang.

Goblin Bang Bang had long been driven away from the centers of goblin camps, living near the camp’s edges. With the help of other Beloveds, he obtained several laboratories dedicated to experimentation.

Just moments ago, Goblin Bang Bang had destroyed another laboratory.

Karon’s figure continued to sweep across the forest and flew towards the Golden City.

The main district of the Golden City, although some distance from the coast and harbor, had tall watchtowers built on the original coast’s protruding coral reefs to provide early warnings and protection measures for evacuations.

According to the suggestion put forth by Giant Demon Fafnir, the future administrative governor’s residence and castle of the Golden City will also be built outside the city near the sea, which will become the most heavily guarded place.

Fafnir plans to put the most likely danger zone at the doorsteps of the Golden City, embodying the notion that officials guard the city gates and nobility sacrifice for their country.

After its expansion, the Golden City is extremely vast. Even Karon could explore the streets, but he did not land and instead roamed in mid-air.

His gaze swept over the increasing number of students at the Giant Dragon Basic Academy, which is the foundation for the future of the Giant Dragon Kingdom, an indispensable part of building the Kingdom’s system.

Then his gaze moved to the tall Gladiatorial Arena under construction in the city center, where many prisoners who disobeyed Giant Dragon rule and defeated strong opponents will be thrown, along with various fierce beasts and exotic creatures.

This demonstrates the martial spirit of the Giant Dragon Kingdom and will be a means to resolve public disputes.

Moreover, the planning of the opera house, library, and large bathhouse is underway, along with shops specifically selling the Giant Dragon Territory’s unique products and special equipment produced in the future; all these are gradually being improved and constructed.

Karon expresses a fair amount of satisfaction with the work ability of Giant Demon Fafnir. At least the Red Dragon’s will is steadily being executed by Fafnir.

Though many citizens of the Golden City have become accustomed to the sight of giant dragons, this Red Dragon, the supreme will governing the place, is the only titled powerful dragon among the Dragon Group in the various continental kingdoms and other civilizations, remaining quite mysterious.

Besides the battle against Shahua Fishmen, the Red Dragon’s figure rarely appeared in the Golden City, as if the Red Dragon doesn’t want his terrifying and massive appearance to disturb the citizens, carrying a natural ruler’s mystique.

Thus, even those residents long settled in the city, as well as the creatures of various races newly arrived in the city, all widened their eyes to gaze at the Red Dragon inspecting the territory.

Led by the Dragon’s Beloveds who bowed half-kneeling to salute the Giant Dragon in the sky, this atmosphere influenced others, causing everyone to place their hands on their chests and salute the dragon above.
