I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

”Alright.”

Gauss nodded.

Then he gently swung the White Magic Wand in his hand. The immense Magic Power within him surged through his body like a flood, then blasted out through the tip of the wand, striking a huge mass of giant clay that had appeared on the ground.

”Clay Magic!”

The Clay Magic that was originally of the 2nd Ring was elevated and cast as a Fourth Ring spell under Gauss’s full concentration.

That massive clay lump, painstakingly gathered by the Red Dragon Team, writhed rapidly like a living thing under the Magic Effect. Ripples layered across its surface, and countless fine clay particles, as if drawn by some invisible force, began to reshape into an entirely new form.

During this process, strands of goblin Spirituality poured wildly into the clay.

Magic Power, clay, and tens of thousands of goblin Spirituality combined as if triggering some strange chemical reaction.

The clay began to swell!

”Rise!”

Gauss’s voice had barely fallen.

The clay abruptly stopped its fierce tremors.

First, two lower limbs as thick as tree trunks pushed out from the bottom of the clay mass, planting firmly on the ground, shaking the dead leaves around them into a flurry.

Next, a huge torso bulged up like solid rock, condensing into shape and extending out two arms so thick that a man would have to wrap both arms around to encircle them... and finally, a massive, ferocious head, radiating sheer pressure, slowly rose from the top of the torso.

A goblin Clay Giant, seven to eight meters tall, appeared before everyone’s eyes.

This was the first time Gauss had used Clay Magic to create such a powerful single clay creature.

In his Perception, this goblin Clay Giant’s combat strength should be close to Challenge Level 8 or Level 9, perhaps even more troublesome.

As a creation of Clay Magic, its combat power was actually its least noteworthy trait.

Fearless of death and devoid of weak points—that was what truly made it terrifying.

Moreover, the Magic Power consumed to create it wasn’t as high as Gauss had imagined; it should be that the tens of thousands of goblin Spirituality were supporting the clay, reducing the cost needed to maintain its form and movement.

”Protect them well.”

The goblin Clay Giant nodded.

It casually grabbed a nearby tree. Without exerting real effort, just that one grip was enough to wrench the tree—thick as an adult’s waist—straight out of the soil.

It weighed the tree in its hand, seemed to find it fairly handy, then hefted the trunk and turned to face the Demon frogs rushing in from all directions, charging toward them at high speed.

”BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!!!”

Under its unmatched brute strength, the Demons underfoot were swept aside like trash; with a single ”thud” they were smashed into blood mist, chunks of flesh flying dozens of meters away.

Meanwhile, the kill count on Gauss’s Monster Atlas was soaring rapidly.

41,799...

41,820...

41,887...

Members of the Red Dragon Team who were battling Demons in the distance glanced up and all involuntarily swallowed.

What a brutal fighting style.

Thankfully, this was their teammate. They didn’t dare imagine how hopeless they would feel if this Giant were the enemy they had to face.

Having finished casting Clay Magic, Gauss ignored the battle in the distance. One hand holding the crystal ball, he closed his eyes, sensing the surroundings.

They had clearly reached the location marked on the map, yet couldn’t see any sign of the enemy.

Why? Could it be underground?

Just as Gauss tried to push his Spiritual Power down into the earth, the air in front of him suddenly rippled like water, and a massive body slowly condensed into shape.

”Gwaa!!! Gwaa~”

The Fourth-floor Maze Lord had barely revealed itself when it threw back its head and let out a roar, trying to proclaim its arrival to its foes.

The next instant, a searing Fireball dropped from the sky, hurtling straight toward its head.

The Demon Frog Lord’s eyes shrank in sudden terror; it clearly hadn’t expected the enemy’s attack to come so abruptly.
