I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

”Fireball Technique!”

Watching the fireball, like a solar eruption, rise on the horizon, and there was more than one.

The newcomers to the Red Dragon Team couldn’t help but wipe the sweat off their foreheads.

They didn’t know whether it was the rising temperature caused by the Fireball Technique or a physiological reaction due to shock.

”Is this how you use the Fireball Technique?”

Some low-level casters swallowed hard.

The Fireball Technique consumes a huge amount of magic power, even they who haven’t learned this third-ring spell have heard rumors.

It’s said that only those Level 5 casters with relatively abundant magic power can use the Fireball Technique, but only once, and that one time is enough to exhaust most of their magic power.

Even when promoted to master-level casters, they can only use it a few more times, but considering they might need to release other spells afterward, even if they have enough magic power, they must use it cautiously.

But what about the new team leader Gauss they just met, his Fireball Technique seemed to require no consumption of his own magic power, bombing wildly all over the map.

”Too extravagant...”

”Is Team Leader Gauss a human in the form of a Giant Dragon?”

”How many goblins will these Fireball Techniques kill?”

”Stop chatting!”

”More goblins are escaping from the nest! Prepare to engage!”

”...”

After a wave of Fireball Technique, Gauss teamed with Hephaestus’s dragon flame breath to disrupt the entire battlefield as usual.

The powerful magic, the dragon flame that continued to burn and was difficult to extinguish, and the devil-like terrifying aura emanating from Gauss all caused numerous goblins to be scared witless, even if mid and upper-level goblin leaders wanted to maintain order, it was extremely difficult.

Moreover, in the chaotic battlefield, shadows danced, kin killed each other, making the scene in front of them even more like a tangled mess.

”No running!”

”Pick up your weapons!!”

The goblin leader’s bizarre cries mixed with the crackling sound of burning flames.

”Swoosh!”

Behind it, a normally-sized goblin suddenly swung a short sword and pierced its heart.

”Thud!”

”You...traitor!”

The goblin leader turned around with difficulty, seeing the assailant was a kinsman that looked like it, with a face full of shock and resentment.

It hardly understood, even if the bottom-level kinsmen were scared witless by the enemy’s devil-like figure, it shouldn’t lead to a backstab on the spot, right?

What benefits did that devil give them?

Unfortunately, the clay goblin didn’t have such thoughts, nor would it have the notion to communicate with it.

After ambushing this goblin leader who tried to command the surrounding kin, the clay goblin quickly integrated into other goblins, continuing to select the next target.

On the other side of the hill, Luna waved her magic wand.

”Wind Creation Skill!”

She released a powerful air current, sweeping up the green-skinned goblins fleeing in panic at her feet, mixed with the fiery red dragon flame.

In the firestorm, all the green-skinned goblins were being quickly killed.

She set down the magic staff, but a flicker of confusion crossed her face.

These goblins were too cowardly, weren’t they?

What exactly is going on?

Normally, the larger the nest, the harder it is for the bottom-level goblins to collapse.

Yet these goblins in front of her seemed completely devoid of fighting spirit, as if encountering a natural enemy, wholeheartedly focused only on fleeing.

Faced with her spell manipulation, these goblins appeared like soulless puppets.

”Is Team Leader Gauss too powerful?”

Luna couldn’t fathom it, temporarily attributing it to Gauss’s credit.

”Also, why do I feel unusually good today?”

She sensed the particularly active magic power within her body, and being highly sensitive to her magic power status, she naturally captured the anomaly immediately. This feeling was something she never experienced when serving as vice captain in the Gray Wolf’s Fang Adventurer Group.

Actually, at this moment on the battlefield, Luna wasn’t the only member of the Red Dragon Team feeling similar.

Many, after decisively killing goblins and being relatively safe, stared blankly at their hands, sharing Luna’s bewilderment.

I’m so strong?!

Of course, Gauss in the sky was aware of this situation.

His new member selection two days ago wasn’t a waste of time; those who passed the review and joined the Red Dragon Team were all relatively eager to integrate members.

They naturally quickly integrated, becoming part of the adventure group, hence enjoying his ”Leader’s Certificate” profession specialty bonus.

Once they experienced this power’s strength and understood the team deeper, unless one’s heart had ulterior motives, this sense of belonging would continue to strengthen.

The goblins were subjected to multiple suppressions from him, while his members enjoyed team bonuses, creating a starkly contrasting combat experience compared to usual.

”Sensational! Hahaha!”

”Die to me!”

”I’ll fight ten of them!”

”Don’t charge too far, come back!”

For a moment, driven by the newcomers of the Red Dragon Team, one battle maniac after another rushed into battle covered in blood.

Those team leaders who were promoted watched the members as if they were on stimulants, unable to hold them back, felt particularly unfamiliar.

However... feeling the heat within their bodies, after glancing at each other, they also squeezed out an excited smile.

Fine, let’s have a thrilling battle.
