I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

Even though, by a stroke of luck, he had saved Luna and the others.

There were other ways to repay the favor.

Joining a team, isn’t that a bit too hasty?

”Are you serious? Do you want to go back and think about it again?”

Gauss thought she might be acting on impulse and kindly reminded her.

Luna is a Level 9 Warlock and considered a valuable asset for the Red Dragon Team.

”No, I’ve thought about it carefully.”

Luna shook her head, looking very determined.

Getting to know someone doesn’t depend on the length of time.

She felt Gauss would be a good leader; he had an indescribable charm and leadership quality.

”If you need, Captain Gauss, I can help you select useful talents from Gray Wolf’s Fang and integrate them into the Red Dragon Team.”

”However, I hope that Wolf’s personal property can be converted into gold coins and given to his family.”

Seeing that Luna seemed to have made up her mind.

Gauss turned to exchange glances with Aaliyah and the others.

”Wolf’s personal property should naturally be inherited by his family.”

”However, for other matters, I need to discuss with my teammates.”

”Okay.”

Luna nodded obediently.

Then she turned with her confidants to contact the cautious Gray Wolf’s Fang members who finally approached.

Gauss ignored the teary-eyed members who begged Luna for forgiveness.

After all, it’s their internal affair.

”What do you all think?”

”Luna is a good person,” Albena nodded. ”During the outbreak of the battle earlier, she proactively brought people to help.”

This spoke volumes about her character.

Although Fisher was indeed whom they brought in, Fisher’s later targets clearly shifted to Gauss and the others.

Before the situation became clear, Luna could have chosen to flee the battlefield while injured and stay out of it, but she chose to join the fight immediately without hesitation.

She performed diligently during the battle.

”Our Red Dragon Team does indeed have too few members,” Chief Ivan said. ”If we could absorb some elite members from Gray Wolf’s Fang, our team’s strength could potentially double.”

”However, considering they betrayed the former captain, there might need to be some checks on their character.”

Ivan considered matters from the perspective of the entire team.

Members from such an established adventure group have been battle-tested over a long period and have rich adventure experience.

”This isn’t as serious as you think. Most members of Gray Wolf’s Fang didn’t participate in this, they were unaware of it and were just following Fisher’s orders for the subsequent actions. The instigator is already dead.”

Gauss explained.

This was something he learned after hypnotizing Fisher. If they had all betrayed, regardless of their strength and ability, he would never accept them into the Red Dragon Team.

Moreover, he possesses the professional specialty of the ”Leader’s Certificate.”

This group of Gray Wolf’s Fang members, who knew nothing about him, would likely integrate quickly if they joined the team.

Once they could share in the spoils of battle, the team’s expansion would benefit his strength accumulation quickly.

”...”

After the group finished discussing.

Gauss approached Luna and the others, who had just finished their conversation.

”Welcome to the team, Ms. Luna.”

He extended his hand to Luna with a light handshake and said.

The merger with Gray Wolf’s Fang could drastically change the scale of the Red Dragon Team.

Upon receiving Gauss’s confirmed response, Luna finally breathed a sigh of relief, feeling a sense of reassurance.

”Please take care of me from now on, Captain Gauss.”

”Let me first help you cleanse the foreign energy in your body.”

...

Under Luna’s guidance, Gauss’s Red Dragon Team quickly joined forces with the main body of Gray Wolf’s Fang.

After several core members who had found their way back informed them and Gauss used the recording stone to display the full evidence, the members who had been confused about recent events finally understood.

It turns out Fisher was the traitor.

In fact, some people had already suspected this.

However, with Luna fleeing the team, followed by Fisher and several other master-level captains insisting she killed Wolf, the ordinary elite members, even if suspicious, dared not make a bold move in such circumstances.

In this demon-infested land, several accidental deaths were also reasonable.

When Luna announced her wish to join the Red Dragon Team, reactions among the former Gray Wolf’s Fang members varied, clearly showing many were quite surprised.

Not all members had access to the intelligence. Some had no clue what kind of state the Red Dragon Team was in.

Now, the former second-in-command of the team, currently the strongest, suddenly saying she would switch allegiances was too sudden for most, catching them completely unprepared mentally.

They could accept a change in team leadership. Whether it was Wolf, the subsequent Fisher, or Luna, who they initially expected to take over, were all familiar figures. But now, who is this Red Dragon Team captain?

They silently looked at the young man slowly stepping forward from behind Luna.

”Hmm?”

Someone blinked.

Initially, many were resistant to a stranger leading them, but seeing Gauss changed everything once again.

This man truly exuded leadership charm.

Perhaps because the environment was too quiet, a distinct sound of swallowing could even be heard in the crowd.

The 16-point Charm Attribute and the ”Leader’s Certificate” professional specialty were not for nothing.

Suddenly, many felt that it might not be such a bad idea to be led by this man instead of Wolf.

Moreover, since the loyal deputy leader Luna had acknowledged him, it was likely his skill and character weren’t questionable.

With Luna setting an example, others soon voiced their willingness to join the Red Dragon Team.

However, simply being willing wasn’t enough; joining the Red Dragon Team required examination and assessment. Members who couldn’t pass would be given a compensation package and asked to leave.

Of course, some chose to leave at the very beginning, feeling Gauss was too young. They felt confident in their own strength and saw this upheaval in the Gray Wolf’s Fang as an opportunity to join a stronger adventure group.

Gauss didn’t stop them; it was a personal choice.

However, if they wanted to return later, he wouldn’t allow them back.

He despised the fickle-minded.

With the cooperation of the original Red Dragon Team and Luna and her group, the Red Dragon Team quickly completed the ”merger” with the original Gray Wolf’s Fang adventurer group in the following two days.

This merger greatly enhanced the overall strength of the Red Dragon Team.

It gained 1 Level 9 Warlock Luna, 1 Level 7 Rogue Ethan, 1 Level 6 Knight Dante, and over thirty elite level members in total.

Among them, Ethan and Dante were Luna’s confidants and part of the team that was hunted along with her.

The remaining members who didn’t pass the screening or left voluntarily were escorted by Gauss out of the safe zone when he had time.

Ethan and Dante also left; their destination was Farlim, where they needed to secure the original Gray Wolf’s Fang’s base immediately.

There was still a considerable amount of the team’s fixed assets there, awaiting Gauss’s further handling.

”Let’s continue with the assignments next,” Gauss said.

Due to an unexpected event, the team’s overall strength had drastically increased, but Gauss hadn’t forgotten the purpose of this trip.

He had only completed one of the three assignments he took on.

It was a good opportunity to hone the new team’s teamwork in actual combat.

The effect of the ”Leader’s Certificate” would be stronger in combat, and after two team-clearing actions, those new members unfamiliar with his strength should quickly become loyal.

After all, words alone can’t prove anything. Even if the original Red Dragon Team members and those teammates who witnessed Gauss’s actions firsthand praised his strength, understanding comes only from personal experience.

However, before the team officially set off...

The members turned their heads to the enormous Red Dragon beside them and couldn’t help but swallow.

So our Red Dragon Team really does have a Red Dragon!?
