I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

Gauss hadn’t been to the Adventurer’s Guild hall for a while.

Because he entrusted small commissions to the Red Dragon Team staff for submission and pickup.

Using the adventure group to accept commissions, naturally, there’s no need for him to be physically present, saving him considerable time for private Magic practice.

From his perspective, some ”idle” figures in the hall now are obviously some adventure group staff.

They dress in light casual clothes, their gaze flowing over bulletin boards and the surrounding crowd.

The Adventurer’s Guild hall remains bustling today.

”We’ve killed enough goblins! It’s time to challenge tougher targets!”

”Derek, if you’re going on an adventure, I won’t join.”

”How about the poison spore mission?”

”We don’t have a specialized Archer in the team, let’s look at others.”

”...”

Gauss looked at young men and women gathered discussing commissions in threes and fours, his lips slightly curled.

”Let’s go, Ying.”

After pausing for a moment, he and Ying headed deeper into the hall.

The structure of the Farlim South District Guild is quite special; it’s only one floor, but it’s fairly large, resembling Gauss’s past world’s convention centers, civic centers, and other large public venues.

The further inside, the higher the difficulty of the commissions available, resembling a layered layout.

”Derek, what’s up?”

”Nothing, just felt the guy standing at the door just now looked special.”

”Stop daydreaming, continue picking commissions, time’s tight.”

”Alright.”

...

The further inside one goes, the higher the adventurers’ levels appear.

Some relatively familiar adventurer squads even cooperate, joining forces to accept larger-scale commissions.

Thus, to some extent, the hall is also a ”social” and ”information sharing” platform.

”Did you hear? The Underground City near Barry is going to open. I’m planning to leave early this time; otherwise, it’ll be too late once it officially opens.”

”We can take some commissions near there.”

”That’s what I was thinking too.”

”...”

Not only Gauss but other adventurers are keenly perusing recent news publications.

In other words, adventurers are greatly influenced by information.

From Bottom Adventurers to Professionals, Masters, and even Extraordinary professionals, they all need to constantly gather external information.

Whether it’s to earn resources quicker, rush to opportunity regions first, or evacuate beforehand before hard-to-resist disasters arrive, information is indispensable as a reference for the next action.

Gauss was also planning to accept a relatively distant commission.

On one hand, around Farlim, the probability of encountering large nests is low; on the other hand, considering the Maze, he can head south first.

The Red Dragon Team’s headquarters is in Farlim, but it doesn’t mean he and his team are bound here.

The more powerful adventure groups usually have broader activity regions.

Many conduct campaigns across cities and provinces, with even nationals spanning giants.

As for the target, Gauss already had it planned.

He was preparing to head towards Black Water Town.

Black Water Town, the small town that just fell a few months ago, after the Gray Rock Town defense battle victory, he received many refugees from Black Water Town outside the city.

The number of monsters and monster nests there must be substantial.

And naturally, there’s danger, but compared to the initial fall period, it’s gradually stabilized. Though news says it remains a Demon activity area.

The Green Dragon Queen seems to have sent subordinates, attempting to permanently occupy the seized land originally belonging to humans.

Thus, during this period, adventurers and adventure groups have been heading towards the areas near Black Water Town to battle monsters.

He had initially planned to set off days ago, but considering the Red Dragon Team was newly established, taking members to a relatively high intensity region was too risky. Thus they first operated near Farlim, also giving time for his subordinates to gain experience.

Now, the time is ripe; it’s time to make the horses and donkeys go out for training.

You can’t just stay cooped up at the Red Dragon Team station forever.

A healthy and steadily developing adventure group won’t settle in one spot; instead, it heads to relatively dangerous areas to seize benefits.

In the VIP room, after explaining his needs to the steward, the latter quickly fetched a pile of commissions.

”Captain Gauss, these are commissions near Black Water Town; care to have a look?”

The steward’s tone was quite respectful.

In the minds of these stewards interfacing with important adventurers, they almost memorize all powerful adventurers, especially adventure group captains’ appearances, as a testament of professional quality.

Moreover, the one before them is quite distinctive among adventure group captains.

Black hair, blue eyes, in a white robe, young and extremely handsome.

Though a few adventurers naturally enhance their appearance as their strength increases, it’s rarely seen for someone to be recognized at first glance due to their overwhelming handsomeness.

”Alright.”

Gauss perused the commission list.

Most were marked with six stars or above, specially noted in bold red as high-risk.
