I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

”Leader, wait for us,” Dwarf Rick shouted.

Gauss brought along the Dwarf squad of the second team this time, which included Toga and others.

Speaking of which, this was Gauss’s first time bringing them along on a mission after officially joining the Red Dragon Team.

Previously, they had been taking on some small to medium-sized missions near Farlim on their own for training.

”You guys need to practice your footwork more,” Gauss teased, slowing down a bit.

Actually, the speed of Dwarves wasn’t that slow, given that even the weakest Dwarf was a level 3 Warrior, but speed depends on who it’s compared to.

Gauss and the others covered several steps with one of their own.

Even if their legs were smoking, they couldn’t keep up with Gauss’s pace.

Rick didn’t say anything; he did indeed train his upper body more regularly, without systematically exercising his legs.

After moving through the forest for a while, the dense silhouettes of the Jackal-Wolf People soon appeared in sight.

Gauss didn’t speak, but after exchanging glances with his teammates, they quickly dispersed.

Once everyone was in position, Gauss suddenly summoned Red Dragon Dragon Beast Hephaestus.

The temperature in the air rapidly rose.

He leapt up onto the dragon’s back, and in the next moment, Hephaestus flapped its wings forcefully.

The massive body ascended into the air, appearing above the treetops.

Almost instantly, several figures in the Jackal-Wolf People army raised their heads.

What appeared before their eyes was a reddish-brown giant beast silhouette.

”Gulp—”

The thick neck rolled, and a look of despair appeared on the face of the Jackal-Wolf leader.

The Jackal-Wolf People were not unfamiliar with the appearance of dragon-like creatures; if such a ”leader” appeared on their own side, it would undoubtedly instantly boost morale.

During sieges, it could even inspire reckless courage in the wolf cubs.

But...

When such a presence stared at them with an extremely unfriendly gaze, and a dangerous-looking human sat on its back, then it was a completely different scenario.

”Whoa whoa whoa!!!!”

The other ordinary Jackal-Wolf People also belatedly noticed the terrifying Red Dragon in the sky, instantly raising their hackles.

Their fighting spirit quickly faded from their eyes, and many Jackal-Wolf People couldn’t stop their legs from trembling.

The Jackal-Wolf leader exchanged a glance.

Soon, they understood each other’s thoughts.

Run! Just run!

This battle was over before it even began.

They were essentially a reassembled defeated army; don’t expect their morale to be strong.

Moreover, this time the enemy was a bit too overwhelming.

Once serving under the Green Dragon Queen’s command, they surely understood the terrifying power of the Giant Dragon.

”Boom!”

The flames from above poured down like a waterfall.

”Jackal-Wolf People*32 killed”

”Jackal-Wolf People*26 killed”

”...”

The dragon breath of the ever-growing Hephaestus had become even more fearsome.

In an instant, the descending Dragon Flame swallowed the lives of over three hundred Jackal-Wolf People, and many more were injured as a result.

The entire Jackal-Wolf People army plunged into chaos.

And even more despairing to them was the fact that no matter how much they wanted to flee, ambush forces had already been placed in every direction.

Aaliyah, Albena, Ulfen, Aik, Ying’s shadow clone, along with Gauss’s fifteen Clay goblins and thirty Clay spiders, formed a clay creature army, which like a spread-out net had surrounded the Jackal-Wolf People camp from all directions.

After establishing the Red Dragon Team, Gauss had continuously been having suitable Magic Clay procured for casting.

Hence, the numbers expanded to what they are now.

This is one of the key reasons he would operate the Red Dragon Team.

An adventure group means maximizing mission profits, earning more money, and for Gauss’s team, money means power.

Not only can they purchase the skill books, supplies, and magical plants needed by team members, even purely buying Magic Clay constantly expands the number of clay creature armies.

Killing monsters, breaking through the illustrated log, acquiring abilities, earning money, enhancing oneself, killing monsters faster—it’s like a snowball continuously growing, forming a positive feedback loop.
