I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

”Cough, cough!”

It coughed up two more mouthfuls of fresh blood, the tearing pain in its abdomen reminding it that this was a terrifying opponent it could not match.

That hard-fought desire to fight was quickly receding.

It turned its head to look around.

The thought of running away, once arisen, became uncontrollable.

It realized that if it didn’t flee, all that awaited it was death.

Climbing out of the depression, it no longer looked at Gauss, and with a push of its feet on the tree trunk, it leapt in the opposite direction from Gauss.

”Running away, are we?”

Gauss watched his opponent, who had completely lost its will to fight and was fleeing head down, shaking his head.

This might be a potential downside of intimidation.

Once beaten into submission, the goblin’s desire to flee would become even stronger.

”Water Manipulation!”

Countless tiny streams of water converged on his gauntlet, a long spear with gold and blue light was forming, and upon closer inspection, there was an eerie energy of intertwined black and white on its surface.

The two opposing forces of holy and evil attributes were cleverly combined under his control.

He slightly retracted his arm holding the water spear.

His gaze locked onto the ”ape” that was leaping rapidly.

The next moment, the spear was thrown violently.

A streak of blue-golden light tore through the air, tracing a straight path.

It finally arrived with incredible precision at the back of the goblin commander still leaping in mid-air.

The goblin commander bristled all over.

It had already sensed that deadly threat, but the attack was too fast.

Giving it no room for any adjustment.

The next moment.

”Screech!”

The long spear pierced through its layers-thick resilient hide, then penetrated its immensely powerful torso.

”Thump!”

With immense kinetic energy, the spear pinned it firmly to a tree.

Even more deadly were those two highly destructive alien energies, furiously infiltrating its body through the wound, wreaking havoc.

It felt its life force rapidly draining away.

It kicked its legs, but ultimately they hung limp.

”Commander Level Goblin (Tree Dweller) killed *1”

In a flash, the once mighty goblin ”Heroic Lord” died at the hands of Gauss.

”Water Manipulation!”

He retrieved the Holy Water, turned his head towards those goblins frozen in fear.

Then, dispelling Tier Two Ghost Transformation, he swiftly charged into Tree City.

”Vampire’s Touch!”

Like a tiger in a flock of sheep, Gauss descended into the goblins’ dwelling within Tree City, immediately triggering a bloody massacre.

And just as he anticipated.

After his title elevated from [Goblin Slaughterer] to [Goblin Expert], he could indeed kill ordinary goblins almost without any exhaustion, slaying them like cutting grass.

Even those elite goblins demanded only slightly more effort.

Of course, this enormous advantage of zero damage was not solely brought by [Goblin Expert], but more importantly due to his highly skilled mastery over killing goblins.

Anything done ten thousand times would turn into exceptional proficiency, sufficient to become an instinct akin to breathing.

The technique of killing goblins had now been internalized into Gauss’s muscles and blood.

Upon seeing a goblin in an instant, he knew precisely how much force was required to take its life.

This force was neither too little nor too much, just sufficient to kill them.

Less and they wouldn’t die completely, more would be wasted, reaching such a precise and elegant level.

In this world, people more adept at killing goblins than him should not be many, after all, even those with higher kills than him, mostly relied on large-scale destructive spells to achieve them, falling short of his technique and familiarity with goblins.

This accuracy akin to art even made [Bloodthirst]’s recovery effect a bit redundant.

In the blink of an eye.

”Total Monster Kills: 20000”

The total number of kills broke through the 20,000 mark, achieving a new milestone of quantity.

”Total Monster Kills: 20011/20000, achieved 20000 kill milestone achievement.”

He flickered away from where he stood, a few jumps appearing on lofty branches where no one was around.
