I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

Every time she sees Gauss, she feels like her body is secreting delightful hormones.

This feeling hasn’t diminished because of the increased time spent together; on the contrary, it’s getting stronger.

He really is a captivating man.

”Lord Gauss, is there anything you need from me?”

”Hmm.”

”I was thinking of visiting the Magic Academy in the next couple of days. I heard they have a library with many valuable tomes. Do you want me to borrow some for you?”

If possible, that would be great!”

”Thank you, Lord Gauss!”

Albena’s few hobbies besides liking the team leader include forging.

Moreover, Gauss even remembers such trivial things about her, what does this imply?

He has me in his heart!

Upon realizing this, Albena feels instantly delighted.

It even makes her happier than learning new forging knowledge.

”Alright, when I go, I’ll keep an eye out for you. If you have any specific books or directions you want, you can tell me in advance.”

Gauss looks at her with eyes gleaming with excitement, feeling that Albena truly deserves to be the team’s ”Ironmaster.”

Even among the dwarf clan renowned for forging, people like Bruno can’t match Albena’s skills.

Then, Gauss went over to Ivan.

He asked him if there were any books he needed to borrow.

As Farlim’s highest magical academy, its library is obviously quite special.

Moreover, Gauss’s access level is professor-grade, allowing him to borrow many books that students can’t access. Perhaps this aspect of the benefits is not much worse than the salary promised by the academy.

This wool shouldn’t be plucked for nothing.

”By the way, Captain, here is a potion I’ve brewed for you to try.”

Just as Gauss arrives, Ivan eagerly hands over the fruits of his recent labor.

”What are these?”

He looked at the ”medications” before him?

”This is energy concentrate paste, an extremely concentrated energy block. The taste isn’t like food and the texture feels like chewing wax, but it’s indeed a good ’portable dry food.’”

”As for this green one, it’s a stamina supplement potion, which can alleviate mental fatigue, improve focus, and casting stability in the short term.”

”As for this earth-yellow potion, it’s a high-end potion I plan to push in the store later, called Rock Potion. After taking it, your skin will show a rock-like gloss and hardness, greatly enhancing physical defense, but the side effect is your body becomes slightly heavy, slowing down your movement speed. It should have a decent effect on 1-5 grade professionals.”

”Though it probably won’t have much effect on you, Captain.”

”Oh?”

Gauss nodded.

He wasn’t planning on taking it home to try; instead, he decided to test it there.

Precisely, his [Feast] ability can maximize the efficacy of consumed items, and in some way, these magic potions count as food, right?

He uncorked the vial and slowly poured the Rock Potion into his mouth.

As the potion entered, a slight bitter scent spread through his mouth.

With the potion entering his body, he quickly felt changes.

”Buzz!”

His originally fair skin rapidly turned yellow, then hardened and dried.

Of course, this change is controllable; he clearly felt a rock-like energy acting on his skin, which he could easily remove using the power within him, whether it be Magic Power, dragon species power, or Ghost Energy.

He simply let the potion take effect.

Soon, his entire body became solid as a rock.

Yet, peculiarly, even in this state, he could still move.

”Thud!”

A finger tap on his body distinctly felt hard and cold, just like tapping on stone.

The toughness was indeed impressive, surpassing many armors.

He estimated that ordinary grade 4, 5 professionals would find it hard to penetrate this rock-like defense layer.

”Captain, may I touch it to feel?” Ivan adjusted his glasses, a trace of curiosity in his eyes.

As the potion’s creator, he’s very clear about this Rock Potion’s pharmacological effects.

Moreover, all magic potions share a characteristic: the stronger the target’s power, the weaker the potion’s effect.

Unless it’s a more advanced potion.

But now, the captain drank the Rock Potion, and the effect shown was somewhat beyond his expectation.

He thought for such a powerful professional as the captain this potion would not yield much actual effect; after all, it’s just a potion designed for elite professionals.

”Please.”

Gauss had no objections.

After Ivan expressed gratitude, he cautiously touched.

The first sensation is sheer hardness!

The captain’s arm became extraordinarily hard.

Even this hardness seemed to exceed its normal upper limit.

Could the Rock Potion have such a good effect?

Ivan himself was a bit puzzled and couldn’t help scratching his head.

The pharmacology learned seemed somewhat anomalous when applied to the captain.

”What’s wrong?”

Gauss asked with a smile.

”Nothing, just...”

”Just... the effect is a bit too good?”

Ivan couldn’t figure out why.

Gauss nodded internally.

Indeed, [Feast] can also amplify the effects of various potions.

In a sense, this body has been modified into a ”Holy Body of Potion Consumption.”

”I’ll head back now.”

Gauss swept away the energy concentrate paste and stamina supplement potion provided by Ivan.

He doesn’t need the Rock Potion; after all, that rock protective effect is useful for some elite level casters, but for him, it’s rather trivial.
