Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Outside the world, Isaac watched the Void Demon Spirit find itself in an awkward predicament. He wasn’t the least bit surprised; this was to be expected.

The Void Demon Spirit was special—so special that it was neither a Divine Creature nor a normal High-level Life form.

Void Demon Spirits were merely Tier Four life forms created by the Void Witch using Void Magic Power. They were completely dependent on the Void Witch’s power, not even comparable to Divine Creatures.

This was only natural. The power of a Virtual Deity wasn’t enough to create Tier Four Divine Creatures. After managing the Underground Palace City for several years, Mephisto and the others had only managed to gather a handful of Tier Three Followers. How could creating a Tier Four be so simple?

Therefore, although the Void Demon Spirit’s Tier seemed intimidating, it was actually much weaker than a normal Tier Four. Furthermore, it possessed no Authority—a power only awakened by true living beings. This was simply due to the unique nature of Void Magic Power.

That was why, in most battles against opponents of the same Tier, the Void Demon Spirit could gain a significant advantage by relying on the overpowered nature of its Void Magic Power.

But this advantage vanished when facing a truly strong opponent!

However…

Isaac didn’t intend to just watch. He had sent the Void Demon Spirit in to probe the depths of the Black Knight and the Silver Law—but his primary target was the Silver Law.

Isaac had long been curious about this Magic, which Wizards considered equivalent to a Concept God.

And given the Void Demon Spirit’s current situation, it clearly wasn’t going to uncover anything.

So, the situation was obvious. It needed backup.

But…

”Tsk.” Isaac couldn’t help but frown. He was facing the same problem the Deities of old had once faced. The World Wall had become the Black Knight’s perfect shield, rendering many of his methods useless.

The other Virtual Deities, like the Void Witch, also had their own divine methods of infiltration. And thanks to the Void Witch’s method, he had completely figured them out. But infiltration was still infiltration; the amount of power that could be sent through was extremely limited. The Void Witch had only been able to send in a Tier Four Void Demon Spirit because she possessed the Void Balance, a special, exclusive Divine Artifact.

The other Virtual Deities didn’t have such a convenient Divine Artifact. Even if they went all out and suffered greatly for it, the most they could smuggle in was a Tier Three power—not even in the same league as the Black Knight.

’Should I try using the power of the Outer Gods?’

Isaac’s gaze shifted to the Divine Spirit Book in his hand. Although he only had a preliminary understanding of the Deities’ infiltration methods, he could use the Divine Spirit Book’s control over their Divine Incarnations to force them to infiltrate the Little World.

And if he was willing to pay a certain price, sending a Tier Four Incarnation down wasn’t impossible!

He just had to choose a weaker Deity and treat it as a one-time-use disposable. After all, the price for sending down a Tier Four Incarnation was too heavy. No matter how exquisite Isaac’s methods were, it would inevitably awaken the Deity itself. At that point, to hide the existence of the Divine Spirit Book, he would have to ”kill the god to silence it.”

However, Isaac wouldn’t choose this path lightly. It wasn’t that he felt sorry for the Deity, but because he couldn’t attach his Spiritual Power to an Incarnation sent down this way. He wouldn’t be able to observe the power of the Law up close. Winning just for the sake of winning was not what Isaac wanted.

As he thought, Isaac glanced at Philo and Angel beside him. His eyes narrowed slightly, and his fingers brushed across the emerald brooch on his chest. An emerald figure flew out, holding a Longbow, and stood silently behind him.

Immediately after, an Orc holding a Giant Axe and a Dwarf wielding a Big Hammer also appeared. The Three Gods formed a triangle, surrounding Isaac.

At the same time, the Void Demon Spirit inside the Little World received Isaac’s command and launched a final attack.

The Void Demon Spirit didn’t hesitate for a moment. It charged straight out of the Void toward the Black Knight. Its ten claws flashed with a sharp light, the Power of the Void condensing like never before. The next moment…

SHRRIIIP!

The instant the Void Demon Spirit appeared, it was met by a black-and-white flash of sword light!

In the last attack, it had been able to touch the Black Knight, forcing him to erupt with a black-and-white radiance to protect himself. But this time, the instant it appeared, the Black Knight shot backward and swung his sword—two actions performed in one seamless motion!

The battle ended even faster than the Void Demon Spirit had imagined, but it didn’t surprise Isaac. Such a one-dimensional fighting style was fine for bullying brainless Demons, but against a battle-hardened warrior, it had far too many openings.

After finishing off the Void Demon Spirit, the Black Knight looked up at Isaac, who was waiting in formation outside the world. His brow furrowed, and after a moment’s pause, he charged upward once more.

He knew the enemy had already laid a trap outside the world and that he was outnumbered, but he had no choice. He could only advance. All he could do now was act like a prostitute, flaunting his ”assets” for all they were worth, to fight for a good price for himself and for the world behind him!

Even in defeat, there are differences!

As the Black Knight neared the World Wall, the enemy’s attack finally came. The one who struck was the surprisingly weak Elf God. It drew its bow, and a torrent of emerald arrows rained down like a violent storm.

Just as the Black Knight reeled in surprise, the World Wall, which should have blocked the volley of arrows, began to twist. It completely ignored the arrows, allowing them to pass through and rain down upon him!
