Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 466: Chapter 347: The Trio Cooperates Again

While other factions were reeling in shock from the methods Isaac had displayed in the battle, Isaac himself had already returned to his domain one step ahead of them, bringing with him a large pile of spoils.

Upon returning to his domain, he immediately began constructing the New World Gate. At the same time, he spread the news that his Demonic Puppet Legion was available for hire to explore the New World. And then... that was it.

While Isaac was engrossed in his research, it was as if time had paused for the outside world. All the major factions couldn’t help but halt their activities. The Real World, which should have erupted into chaos over the Endless Tower, had instead fallen into an eerie calm.

The reason for this situation was that the two poles of the Real World—the Wizards and the Deities—had fallen into a debate over him!

On the Wizards’ side, led by the Flesh Sect and the Mad Witch Association, the main discussion was whether to expel Isaac from their respective organizations. After all, the man dared to utilize the power of even the Nameless Lord. He was simply too insane!

If he were Tier Six, it would be one thing. At that level, while the power of the Nameless Lord would still be a strong deterrent, it wasn’t impossible to contain. But Isaac was merely Tier Four, which made the situation extremely dangerous.

As for the Deities, their insight wasn’t as sharp as the Wizards’, and they failed to see the secrets of the Divine Spirit Book. Therefore, they were focused on how to obtain this technology from Isaac. With this technology, although they couldn’t hope to restore their former status, their standing in the Real World could definitely rise to a new level.

This was a tangible benefit that could bring a considerable amount of the Power of Faith.

However, they were still debating how to acquire it. Most of the Deities believed they should just take it by force. After all, there was nothing to discuss with a blasphemous creature like a Mad Witch.

Although the power they could commit in the Real World was quite limited, Isaac was already Tier Four. He would surely explore the New Worlds. There, while their power would still be restricted to some extent, it wasn’t the Real World. The restrictions weren’t as absolute, and they could wield more of their strength.

Furthermore, these restrictions changed based on the New World’s distance from the Real World. So, even though Isaac’s current combat strength was formidable, if they were willing to pay a price, he wasn’t unbeatable!

If there were those who wanted to fight, there were naturally those who did not. However, this latter group of Deities didn’t want peace; they simply believed it was highly likely they couldn’t win...

After all, the question of who was stronger, Deities or Wizards, had long been settled. And Isaac was currently acknowledged as the strongest Wizard of his tier!

What’s more, he was a Mad Witch with the most bizarre growth curve. The man advanced at an incredible speed. Who knew when he might just level up again...

Therefore, it was best not to fight him. Getting it through a trade would be ideal. If that wasn’t possible...

...then it just wasn’t possible. It’s not like they hadn’t been feeling wronged for a while now...

Thus, while the two poles of the world were endlessly debating over Isaac, the shifts in power across the Real World naturally came to a halt.

However, some things are all about timing. With the wrong timing, many things turn out differently.

The turmoil in the Real World was a prime example. The opportune moment had been missed. And although the power dynamics would still change, the resulting commotion was much smaller. Moreover, many developments that would not have otherwise occurred began to appear, for example...

Although the Terra Empire was still demoted to the Terra Kingdom, losing most of its territory and a Tier Four Prince, on the other hand, it also meant a Prince’s Domain had been vacated!

To a certain extent, this eased the Terra Kingdom’s predicament. Whether used to recruit powerful individuals or enfeoffed to increase loyalty, it was extremely practical.

Secondly, Princess Philo of the Terra Kingdom established a new duchy—the Ophelia Duchy—on the former territory of the Itra Kingdom.

This move took everyone by surprise. They had assumed Philo would abandon that territory and coordinate with the Royal Family to consolidate their power, especially since the former Itra Kingdom did not border the Terra Empire, making it an exclave.

Furthermore, due to the Itra Kingdom’s abysmal governance, the situation in this land was dire. Not only did it fail to generate any profit, but on the contrary, one had to pour vast sums of money into it every year.

And that wasn’t even the worst part!

The worst part was that this territory was a primary target for the Dimension Apostles of the Master of Billions of Flesh and his Sect. After years of conflict, although they had barely managed to defend it with the might of the former Terra Empire, it had long since been infiltrated to the point of being riddled with holes. Calling it a sieve would be a compliment to its defenses...

Therefore, no matter how one looked at it, a territory like this had no value worth keeping...

However, this was also why the Ophelia Duchy was able to be established so smoothly. After all, regardless of anything else, even ignoring the still-resourceful Terra Kingdom behind her, Princess Philo herself was a Tier Four Miracle Mage. And a Mad Witch at that. Her strength was considerable, and it wasn’t worth provoking her over such a worthless piece of land.

’Tsk. She still hasn’t given up on that three-in-one path?’ The moment Isaac saw this news, he understood Philo’s intentions.

To others, it was indeed a wasteland, but for Philo, it was different. She didn’t need the territory to be well-developed. As long as the territory existed and people could live in it, that was enough.

For a Tier Four Wizard, meeting such a requirement was almost trivially easy. She could solve it just by setting up a few production lines. After all, Philo could sell these goods to the Terra Kingdom, which had a need for them anyway.
