Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 464: Chapter 346: Has It Started? It’s Over

Hearing Isaac’s words, Prince Norns’s expression darkened. His tone grave, he said, ”Then let’s put it to the test. Show me the source of your confidence!”

As he spoke, a gigantic purple phantom rose beside him. It was also a Tier Four High-level Knight. Though its aura was a notch below Norns’s, it was still far stronger than a newly promoted, watered-down Tier Four with no heritage, like Isaac’s father.

In fact, this was one of the main reasons Caesar had chosen to reconcile with the Terra Royal Family. After all, he truly couldn’t defeat them. No matter how great one’s potential, it was still just potential. Not everyone was a madman like Isaac, capable of rapidly converting that potential into actual strength.

However, Isaac only gave it a brief glance before looking away. A Tier Four Knight might be a formidable enemy for Caesar and the others, but to him, it was nothing special.

Isaac’s gaze fell upon a Wizard—a Tier Four Mage!

This person was dressed in a black robe, with a black hood pulled over his head, hiding his face in the shadows—a standard villain’s getup. There were no distinct Magic Elements about him; from his Magic Power aura alone, it was impossible to tell which school he belonged to.

But his power was quite impressive. He single-handedly linked the thirteen Mage Towers within the city, causing immense Magic Power to flow continuously into the Defense Barrier. And he wasn’t just performing a simple Magic Enhancement; the magical auras constantly flickering over the Barrier signified that one Magic effect after another was being layered on top of it!

To be able to control such a vast amount of Magic Power while simultaneously casting so many spells was something Isaac knew he couldn’t do. This was a difference in skill, the kind that required time to cultivate.

Ultimately, his time as a Wizard had been too short. The entire duration of his journey from not even being Tier One to reaching Tier Four was likely shorter than the time that man had spent cultivating his skills at Tier Four alone. It was only natural that he couldn’t compare in terms of technique.

Of course, Isaac didn’t need that kind of thing. In a fight, you play to your strengths and avoid your weaknesses.

If his technique was lacking, he just had to pump up his stats.

FLIP FLIP FLIP~

The Divine Spirit Book in Isaac’s hands flipped rapidly through its pages. An aura of extremely evil Divine Power materialized behind him, and a fierce wind billowed, making his Wizard Robe rustle. Isaac watched indifferently as Prince Norns braced himself as if facing a mighty foe.

”Honestly, I don’t quite understand. Where does all your confidence come from~”

As his voice fell, the tide of Divine Power behind Isaac gradually subsided. A pitch-black figure appeared silently in front of him.

Just as Norns and the others were watching in confusion, the figure gently raised its right hand and pointed a finger into the Void. In that single instant, the Defense Barrier enveloping Jiljisi City—the one the nameless Black-robed Mage had layered with countless magical effects—abruptly vanished!

”What!?” Staring at the suddenly vanished Defense Barrier, Prince Norns and the Knight beside him were struck with utter horror. They simultaneously whipped their heads around to look at the Black-robed Mage, only to find that while he was unharmed, his face was also a mask of absolute terror!

”What... what is going on now?” Prince Norns asked bitterly, seeing the Black-robed Mage staring intently at the figure in front of Isaac.

”That is... a God... a True God! The Abyss Walker, Krosti! A Tier Six True God who wields the origin Authority of [Abyssal Magic Power]!”

”How could a True God like that possibly send down an Incarnation!”

”You’ve got to be kidding me!”

After hearing the Black-robed Mage’s words, Prince Norns’s eyes flew wide open. He stared in utter disbelief at the shadowy figure in front of Isaac!

Equally horrified were the spectators watching this duel from the shadows.

A Tier Four Incarnation of a Tier Six True God and a Tier Four Deity are two completely different Concepts. This isn’t just a gap in technique, but also a gap in stats.

Yes, stats!

Although both are Tier Four, one Tier Four is not the same as another. The Divine Authority wielded by a Tier Four Virtual Deity is merely a weakened, Ordinary version. But the Divine Authority of a Tier Six True God... its strength is on a whole other level!

Take the [Abyssal Magic Power] of the Abyss Walker Krosti before Isaac. In essence, it is still within the scope of an Authority, not a Dominion. But because the gap between a Dominion and an Authority is so vast, people have artificially created many ranks in between.

The Concept of an ”origin Authority,” for example.

To give an example, even at only Tier Four strength, this thing could drain all the Magic Power from an entire Little World in an instant at full power!

In contrast, the Authority possessed by a deity like Trist could, at most, affect a part of a Little World’s interior.

Not to mention, as the main body is a Tier Six True God, its control over power is far greater than even the strongest Tier Four. Effortlessly producing ten parts of effect with only one part of force is a simple matter.

This was why Prince Norns was so horrified. When facing those five strange Tier Four True Gods, he could still struggle by relying on his home-field advantage. After all, he had noble Mages and their ultimate accessory—Mage Towers. The enemy had a few more Tier Fours, but it wasn’t an entirely unwinnable fight.

But...

In that moment, he knew why Isaac had been so confident!

An Incarnation of a Tier Six True God!

There was no way to fight this!

No way at all!

It could drain the Magic Power of thirteen Mage Towers with a single thought, wiping out his home-field advantage in an instant. How was he supposed to fight this?

But he didn’t understand why. Why could Isaac summon the Incarnation of a Tier Six True God to fight for him? In fact, this was the very thing the spectating audience was wondering about as well.

The Real World’s restrictions on True Gods were no joke. It was incredibly difficult for them to project even a sliver of power into the Real World, let alone a Tier Four Incarnation. Sending down such an Incarnation would take a grievous toll on a Tier Six True God. Without a massive payoff afterward, it wouldn’t be able to recover without slumbering for several hundred years.
