A Warm Marriage After Rebirth

Chapter 284: Chapter 284: Seeing Justin Hale Again (2)

”Okay! But if the company stops its current research, how will it turn a profit? We’re still supporting a lot of people! If we halt the project, how will the company make money?” That was Chester Sykes’s biggest concern.

Seraphina Sterling smiled, her face breaking into a brilliant grin. ”That’s not something you need to worry about. Once you sign, that becomes my job.”

”After you inject the capital and become the largest shareholder, will you be managing the company’s operations yourself? You’re still in school, aren’t you?” It wasn’t that Chester Sykes doubted Seraphina Sterling’s abilities. He was just worried about her time and energy.

”I won’t be appearing in person, and you must keep my involvement a secret. However, I can guarantee there will be no issues with Keystone Technologies’ management.” ’This is the most crucial part. My identity must remain confidential! My power is still far from rivaling Justin Hale’s.’

Chester Sykes still hesitated. The life and death of his company hinged on this single decision. He had never felt such immense pressure before.

’Might as well take the gamble. Keystone Technologies has already hit rock bottom. I’ll just have to leave it to fate.’

Chester Sykes opened the contract and decisively signed his name.

Seraphina Sterling smiled and let out a soft sigh of relief. ’I’ve finally won this battle. Justin Hale, I’m going to make you take a hard fall. Everything is in place. Now, I just have to wait for the show to begin.’

”Tomorrow, a new manager will arrive at the company with a new business plan. You’ll be given a new R&D project. I’m confident that your team can handle any project thrown at them.” ’Keystone Technologies has grown, yes, but its development has been too haphazard. The projects are all over the place, with no cohesion, making it difficult to achieve any significant breakthroughs.’

”It seems you came prepared. You’ve had your eye on Keystone Technologies for a long time! And if I’m not mistaken, you had a hand in our stock price fluctuations as well!” Chester Sykes was astonished. ’Do girls this young really have this kind of foresight nowadays?’

”If I hadn’t bought up a large volume of Keystone Technologies stock six months ago to keep the price from collapsing, you would’ve gone bankrupt long ago.” But Keystone Technologies’ crisis had come too soon! A full two years earlier than in her previous life! This accelerated timeline worried Seraphina Sterling; she felt that things were slipping from her control. The feeling was unsettling, forcing her to quicken her pace.

”So you also had a hand in the crisis Keystone Technologies faced!” ’He felt like he’d been set up!’

”I couldn’t have caused Keystone Technologies’ stock fluctuations all by myself. There’s definitely a major player pulling the strings behind the scenes.” In fact, Seraphina Sterling already suspected who it was.

”Then—” Chester Sykes was suddenly struck by a chilling realization. He was living in a dark and dangerous world. Unseen by him, someone was already holding a sharpened blade, ready to strike him down at any moment and end it all.

Seraphina Sterling saw his anxiety. ”You don’t need to worry about any of that. I’m the largest shareholder of Keystone Technologies now. Leave the company’s hidden dangers to me. Your main task is to focus all your energy on completing the R&D for the new project in the shortest time possible. Remember, the sooner you succeed, the sooner the company can start turning a profit.”

He looked at her confident smile, her dark eyes shimmering with a brilliant light, like dazzling stars in the night sky. In that moment, Chester Sykes suddenly felt the immense weight on his shoulders vanish. For so long, he had been juggling R&D while desperately searching for a way to save the company. It felt like a heavy stone had been pressing on his chest, crushing him to the point where he could barely breathe.
