A Warm Marriage After Rebirth

Chapter 280: Chapter 280: The Grudge from a Kick (4)

”Oh? So, you’re saying it’s my own damn fault I got kicked?” Martin Quinn’s volatile expression was truly terrifying.

’That’s right,’ Seraphina Sterling really wanted to say. ’If you hadn’t popped out of nowhere, this kick would have landed on someone else!’ But seeing Martin Quinn’s furious expression, she didn’t dare add fuel to the fire. Otherwise, she really would be digging her own grave.

Seraphina Sterling’s delicate brows knitted together as she finally managed to force out a few words. ”Um... I can only say your luck was a little off today, Mr. Quinn!”

Martin Quinn slowly walked toward her, his grim expression growing more dangerous. He was like a hunter who had locked onto his prey, just waiting for the right moment to spring his trap.

Seraphina Sterling’s heart sank to the pit of her stomach. ’Angering this man was no small matter! This huge problem wouldn’t be so easy to solve. In some ways, Martin Quinn was far more difficult to deal with than Justin Hale! If she had a fifty percent chance of handling Justin Hale, she didn’t even have ten percent against Martin Quinn! The gap between them was just that vast.’

Martin Quinn stopped in front of Seraphina Sterling, his cool fingers lifting her chin. ”Seraphina Sterling, I’ll let you keep that leg of yours for now. But if I’m ever in a bad mood, I’ll personally chop it off!”

”Then I can only hope Mr. Quinn is in a good mood every day!” At that moment, the heart that had been caught in Seraphina’s throat finally settled. ’I’ll worry about the future later. The most important thing is that the immediate crisis has been resolved!’

”Then you’d better pray to the heavens every day! Escort Miss Sterling out!” Martin Quinn’s words were absolute. No one could defy them.

Seraphina Sterling had no choice but to follow Leo Warren out of Westbound Bar, though she had no idea why Martin Quinn would do this. ’That man’s mind has never been normal! Not even a mind reader could guess what he’s thinking!’

”The Young Master told me to give you this.” Outside the bar, Leo Warren handed her a black membership card. Leo Warren didn’t know why Martin Quinn would give Seraphina Sterling such a high-level card. Since the bar opened, only five of these cards had ever been issued, and somehow, Seraphina Sterling had claimed one of the spots!

Seraphina Sterling took the black card and casually tossed it into her purse, making Leo Warren roll his eyes. ’This is a symbol of identity and status! How did it become so worthless in her hands?’ He seriously doubted whether Seraphina Sterling even knew the significance of this membership card.

Leo Warren had hit the nail on the head. Seraphina Sterling truly had no idea what this black card was for. Although she had been in and out of Westbound Bar many times in her past life, she had never once seen anyone use a membership card.

”Thank Mr. Quinn for me!” Seraphina Sterling drove away immediately. Although she had left Westbound safely this time, she didn’t dare let her guard down. ’Martin Quinn was too difficult to predict. He could threaten you but not necessarily act on it. He could be pleasant to your face, but that didn’t mean he truly didn’t care about the matter.’

’This time, he finally achieved his goal. I’ll probably have to live on edge for a while! God knows when this Mr. Quinn will go crazy! And when he does, he’ll definitely take a life!’

After getting in the car, Seraphina Sterling sped off. She was already twenty minutes late for her appointment. ’Martin Quinn really has a knack for timing, choosing today of all days to stop me!’

After Leo Warren returned to the bar, he hesitated for a long moment before finally asking, ”Young Master, why did you give Seraphina Sterling such a precious black card?”

Martin Quinn looked down at his already bruising shin where a private doctor was applying medicine. It was the exact spot Seraphina had just kicked. ”She’s quite unusual. When have you ever seen a woman with that much force? Your injuries aren’t light either, are they?” Martin Quinn was in a good mood, no longer as dangerous and grim as he had been in the private room.
