A Warm Marriage After Rebirth

Chapter 275: Chapter 275: Mr. Grant is a Beast (3)

’It seemed she wasn’t lying. In her heart, he really was nothing! Even though they had already kissed. But to Seraphina Sterling, none of it meant a thing! Terrence Grant seethed with frustration. He just couldn’t understand why he’d fallen for such a young woman! It wasn’t as if he’d never seen beautiful women, or girls more innocent than she was, but all he felt for them was revulsion!’

”Terrence Grant—” Seraphina Sterling’s voice was tinged with discontent. He was heavy, and with him pinning her down like this, she found it difficult to even breathe.

”If you don’t want this to continue, then don’t move!”

’Seraphina Sterling snapped her mouth shut, her sparkling eyes going wide. She even started breathing cautiously, terrified the beast on her would give in to his primal urges! If he suddenly went feral, she would be completely defenseless! After all, he was the one who had taught her everything she knew!’

’Terrence Grant held the slender figure in his arms, trying to quell the heat surging through his body. How had he stumbled and fallen for this young woman! The worst part was, he was already trapped in a whirlpool of emotion with no way out, yet she felt nothing, remaining perfectly rational and clear-headed!’

’He was the only one whose heart was in turmoil. That said it all! From start to finish, Seraphina Sterling had remained completely detached from this relationship!’

The room instantly fell silent, leaving only the sound of their breathing and heartbeats. Just as Seraphina Sterling was about to drift off to sleep, Terrence Grant finally spoke.

”Seraphina Sterling, you are destined to be mine! If you don’t want to spend the rest of your life with a man you don’t love, then you’d better force yourself to fall in love with me! Use any means at your disposal to do it!”

’This man’s obsession with her was just too much! It wasn’t as if he couldn’t find other women! Why did he have to set his sights on a young girl like her! Besides, had he ever even been in a relationship before? Who confesses to someone like that? It was practically a threat!’

”Terrence Grant, if you continue on like this, with a confession that’s dripping with menace, I’ll never be able to develop feelings for you! Besides, what have you ever done to make me fall in love with you? There are so many people in this world, so many men in Aethelgard! Why should I have to fall in love with you? Have you given me a single reason to?”

’Seraphina Sterling simply couldn’t stand his arrogant method of courtship. The only reason she was still here was because she was brave. Anyone else would have been scared out of their wits and run for the hills by now!’

For a moment, Terrence Grant was stunned. His handsome brows knitted together. ’She has a point,’ he thought. ’He was indeed inexperienced in this area. Usually, he was the one being pursued by flocks of chattering women! He had never actively pursued a woman before! Seraphina Sterling’s words were a wake-up call!’

”I’m going to go back and do some serious research. And you—stay away from those little boys who barely have peach fuzz on their chins! You don’t want to be around when I finally snap!”

”If you’re a man, then prove yourself through your own actions! What kind of skill is there in secretly undermining your rivals? If someone else does a better job and loves me more, why on earth would I choose the man who, by comparison, doesn’t love me as much!” Now that the cards were on the table, Seraphina Sterling didn’t hold back, letting all her thoughts pour out.

”Trying to provoke me?” Terrence Grant’s deep voice lifted slightly, tinged with a raw huskiness that made it all the more captivating. ”Have you forgotten who trained you? I don’t fall for such tricks!” With that, Terrence Grant kissed her again, but this time it was as light as a dragonfly skimming water—just a brief, aggressive press of his lips against hers.

”I don’t care what methods I have to use. As long as you end up with the title of Mrs. Grant, it’s a victory! I’ve never been a gentleman. Winning is everything!” The domineering, wantonly arrogant Mr. Grant of Aethelgard was back.
