Reincarnated as a Lizard

Rooar-!

Squeak!

Bang!

As Scaly was enjoying the battle from afar while recovering from her chaos that she had caused among both the gnolls and forest rabbits, the gnoll chieftain and forest rabbit lord violently began clashing with each other.

However, compared to when they had first fought with each other, it was obvious that both of them didn’t go all out this time around as they were both worried about a certain lizard sneaking into the place where their injured were recovering. Especially so after she had just demonstrated that she wasn’t done after massacring a large number of the injured gnolls by going after the injured forest rabbits.

Although she had been chased away for now, both of these powerful leaders understood full well that it would only be a matter of time before she returned to try again when they let their guard down and gave her an opportunity to sneak past their subordinates.

Squeaak!

Growl!

Of course, this level of intelligence was not something that the weaker gnolls and forest rabbits could demonstrate, as they were still going all out in their fight... And with Scaly not appearing again, the stronger forest rabbits that had gone to protect the weakened and injured forest rabbits began returning to the battlefield. Changing the balance of the battlefield into favoring the forest rabbits.

If given enough time and without the interference of the gnoll chieftain, it wouldn’t be long before the forest rabbits overwhelmed the gnolls and began attacking the tribe directly!

Roar!

With all of this in mind, the gnoll chieftain was left with no choice but to use all of his strength to fight back against the forest rabbit lord. Soon suppressing the forest rabbit lord while using what little strength it had left to spare to stabilize the situation for the rest of the gnolls by lending them a hand ever now and then.

Squeak!

Seeing this, the forest rabbit lord could only follow the lead of the gnoll chieftain as it similarly used all of its strength to fight back to ensure that the gnoll chieftain didn’t start dedicating part of his energy to kill the rest of the forest rabbits.

Perfect! It looks like they have stopped paying so much attention to their backlines and started fighting seriously again!

Observing all of this from the tree she had hidden herself in while enjoying a forest rabbit and recovering her strength, Scaly could not help smiling to herself as her attention focused on the injured forest rabbits who were now only protected by four powerful big forest rabbits instead of eight.

If not for the fact that she still hadn’t fully recovered her strength, she would have already begun the process of trying to approach the injured forest rabbits after seeing how everyone was preoccupied. Even more so considering that she had a feeling that the forest rabbit lord would come chasing after her the moment she was discovered...

Like this, the battle between the gnolls and forest rabbits continued without any real progress for the next two hours, as she only went down from the tree every now and then to quietly catch a small forest rabbit to snack on while using most of her time watching the increasingly bloody battle between the gnoll chieftain and the forest rabbit lord.

Though both of them had grown significantly weaker and were now covered in wounds, she didn’t dare think about trying to ambush the two of them, as she had personally witnessed how one of the gnoll shamans had tried to do just that, only to get instantly killed by a simple kick from the forest rabbit lord.

No matter how weakened and bloody the two of them seemed after two hours of fighting, they were still in a completely different league compared to everyone else and couldn’t be killed even if she could get close enough to sneak up on them and launch a surprise attack.

Instead, Scaly was far more focused on the injured forest rabbits that could guarantee a rapid improvement in strength without too many dangers involved. Even more so now that the battle had dragged on for a long time and those in charge of defending the injured forest rabbits were no longer fully healthy themselves, with quite a few of them having injures of their own.

Waiting longer might result in it becoming easier to attack the injured forest rabbits, but at the same time, Scaly also had a feeling that she was running out of time when looking towards the gnoll chieftain and the forest rabbit lord.

Although their battle still looked equal on the surface, after watching them for the last two hours, she could still tell that the forest rabbit lord had started losing and would soon end up being overwhelmed by the gnoll chieftain... And when that happened, it was bound to escape together with the rest of the forest rabbits. Preventing her from paying a visit to the injured forest rabbits.

Whoosh~

With this in mind, even though her strength hadn’t fully recovered, Scaly decided to descend from the tree she had been hiding in before slowly starting to make her towards the edge of the battlefield where the injured forest rabbits were located. Making sure to keep herself properly hidden this time and not alert any of the forest rabbits around her to her presence.

Rustle~

[Big Forest Rabbit, lvl 37]

In the end, she soon found herself at the edge of the location where the injured forest rabbits were recovering with only four strong big forest rabbits blocking her path forward.

On that end, she was at least rather lucky that the strongest among them that had reached level 37 was the most injured, as she had personally seen how it had lost on of its legs to the gnoll chieftain, who had managed to push the forest rabbit lord away for a short period of time to cut it off.
