Chapter 489: Chapter 358: Shafuri’s Reflections, Oka Village

Shafuri is a very strong-willed woman.

As the Saintess of the Calamity Raven Church, she has been assertive since she was young.

The number of setbacks she has faced since childhood is almost countable on one hand.

This experience not only granted her a strong sense of self-confidence but also set high demands on herself.

Riding on a Grassland Horse, she reflected on the reasons for this mission’s failure along the way.

Even now, three Saint Elders remain missing, and Shafuri cannot afford to care.

For the Calamity Raven Church, a Church Warrior from an Apostle Corps is not considered significant.

In this operation, the church’s key figure was Shafuri herself.

Next were the three Saint Elders of the church.

That night, she did not hesitate to consume the accumulated Power of Faith from the Tower of the Raven to initiate the Raven Ceremony to engage the Expeditionary Army in a life-and-death battle; logically, the three Saint Elders at the Burial Ground should have been able to detect something wrong.

If the three Elders saw the Raven Ceremony, they would certainly understand that the battle at Odu Village had reached a critical point.

Even if they didn’t immediately send reinforcements, they should have accelerated the Excavation at the Burial Ground.

Yet until the end of the battle, there was no movement from the Burial Ground, not even a message was sent back.

Given the current situation, the three Saint Elders are probably in dire straits.

The battle that night was very intense; both sides were entirely bloodthirsty.

Based on the number of participants from the expedition’s side, Shafuri was certain the other side had deployed everyone.

Logically, they wouldn’t be able to spare manpower to simultaneously attack both the Burial Ground and Odu Village.

Unless a third-party force intervened!

Shafuri rode on her Grassland Horse, slightly squinting her eyes, seriously recalling the details of the previous battle.

In her root-seeking thoughts, she seemed to have captured some clues.

”I remember now!”

”It was the explosion sounds at that time!”

Shafuri suddenly widened her eyes, recalling a situation.

Back then, just as the Expeditionary Army was about to reach the base of the tower.

Her Raven Ceremony was also almost unsustainable.

Three loud explosions vaguely came from the direction of the Burial Ground.

It was just that the scene was too chaotic at that moment, and Shafuri didn’t have time to think.

Now that she recalls, it should indeed be a third-party force that took advantage of the Expeditionary Army and the church’s intense battle at Odu Village to raid the Burial Ground!

Thinking of this, a chubby face appeared in Shafuri’s mind.

That person who pretended to be captured and sneaked into the village to steal thousands of secret silver.

And before the expedition’s side suddenly changed strategy and launched a full-scale attack, Shafuri saw through the Raven’s perspective that that damn little chubby was mingling among the Expeditionary Army.

Even instructed the Dragon-kin Ranger to shoot and kill the Raven under her control that was peeping.

The most crucial point is that she remembered sensing the Demon’s aura on that chubby.

So now the critical motive is clear; what they covet is nothing other than the Demon’s Soul!

That is why the Burial Ground has had no reaction.

Because that damn chubby must have seized the chance, while the Expeditionary Army and the church fought fiercely at Odu Village, to raid the Burial Ground.

Having pieced everything together, Shafuri’s doubts immediately cleared.

Her face was flushed, gritting her teeth, clenching her fists tightly.

The failure of this action is definitely that damn little chubby’s sabotage.

Compared to the Expeditionary Army, Shafuri hated that behind-the-scenes chubby even more.

After all, the Expeditionary Army won uprightly with their skills.

But the chubby was entirely trying to drive a tiger to swallow a wolf, despicable, shameless, and filthy!

”Damn it, once back to Cold Crow Valley, I must have the Dark Crow Apostle Corps thoroughly investigate.”

”Though that guy is likely to have disguised his appearance.”

”I must start from the Demon Power...”

”Using the Demon’s strength can easily betray oneself.”

”This vendetta, must be avenged!”

Shafuri gritted her teeth with hatred; upon deducing the truth, her heart burned with the flames of revenge!

She will soon return to this area!

...

Two hours later.

Over a hundred kilometers east of Sitanos Village.

A large Wild Boar carrying two people was racing along the road.

Alongside it was a Sentinel Black Panther carrying a shapely woman.

Behind them was a formation of Immortal Gun Cavalry, arranged in a wedge and following behind the large Wild Boar.

This group was advancing towards Boss Bang, with Zong Shen among them.

The speed of the large Wild Boar wasn’t slow, only slightly lower in value by one point compared to the full speed of the Andalusian Warhorse.

But it was notably faster than the Grassland Horse, capable of running at speeds of 80 to 90 kilometers per hour even while carrying two people.

Along the path, Zong Shen encountered two or three convoys of Traveling Merchants, as well as villagers traveling in ox carts.

After racing full speed for two hours, Zong Shen could sense Pigsy’s breathing becoming increasingly rapid and its heartbeat quicker.

Clearly, Pigsy needed rest.

On the way, Zong Shen passed by two villages, both near this dirt road.

The scale of these villages was smaller than Sitanos Village, slightly larger than Odu Village.

”How far is the nearest village ahead of us?”

Zong Shen asked the strategy in his mind.

If the distance is close, we’ll head to the nearest village for a brief rest.

If the distance is too far, then we’ll rest on a nearby open area by the roadside.

Anyway, he carries plenty of food and water with him.
