Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 486: Chapter 356: Mine Settlement, Return to Sitanos

Zong Shen reached out and patted Dutra’s shoulder, offering some [Moon God Spring] to them from a leather water bag.

During this time, Zong Shen’s treatment of the Kobolds was just so-so.

There was neither discrimination nor any special privilege given.

And the Kobolds’ performance was satisfactory; they did not slack off in their work, nor did they cause any trouble intentionally.

People often say Kobolds are cunning, but the batch under Zong Shen was relatively simple and easy to manage.

Besides the Moon God Spring, Zong Shen also took out two [Type II Mining Magic Energy Puppets (Green)] previously obtained from the mine warehouse. These were specialized mining support magic energy puppets.

With the skills of probing and excavation, the overall efficiency of one mining magic energy puppet could rival two or thirty Kobold miners.

The shiny large drill was far more effective than a mining pickaxe when in operation.

The large digging bucket on the other side could scoop up a considerable amount of ore at once.

Although consuming a certain amount of magic energy, it remained quite cost-effective.

Magic energy crystals, magic gemstones, and elemental crystals are typically high-energy associated m...

Zong Shen left behind 500 basic-level magic energy crystals and 1 super magic energy crystal as energy reserves for the magic energy puppets, so once mining formally gets on track, they can become self-sufficient.

The remaining food and cold-resistant materials were all in Dutra’s own storage grid, and there was no need to worry about water. They had lived here for decades, with a small underground water source in the mine just sufficient for their consumption.

Dogman Chief Dutra accompanied Zong Shen for a tour around several passage nodes in the mine.

When manpower is sufficient in the future, the right side of the mine, once occupied by the Spider Web Monster, can also be fully utilized. It used to be the office and dormitory area, connected by passage with the left side.

It’s definitely a great place to build a secret base.

However, Zong Shen did not have a good defense strategy for the mine.

It would be great if it were within the territory; unfortunately, it is relatively far from the territory.

And Zong Shen didn’t have any defense buildings or items suitable for the mine’s terrain,

The only thing he could utilize was the remaining defensive magic arrays inside the mine.

Zong Shen had previously obtained the identity card of the mine’s sheriff, which allowed him to mobilize the magic arrays within the mine.

He handed this identity card over to Dogman Chief Dutra.

Various rune magic arrays are the best option for defending the mine.

However, there was no related talent in the territory at the moment.

Setting up a magic array requires outlining runes with various magic materials and arranging corresponding energy-supplying structures to provide energy to the magic array, through the combination of magic runes to perform the corresponding magic.

It somewhat resembled coding in the previous life.

Zong Shen thought for a while and took out a communication crystal to contact Marie, who was planning the buildings in the territory.

He asked her to check the [market] for any illusion magic items that could be powered continuously by consuming magic energy when she had the chance.

Using illusions to conceal the entrance could definitely confuse most lords exploring nearby.

After he finished contacting, the Kobolds were also ready.

Dutra took out crates of [Exquisite Mining Pickaxes] from his personal storage, which were among the supplies they had brought.

Each Kobold received one and slung it over their back, and Dutra selected two Kobold Prophets to operate the mining magic energy puppets.

Three Burrowing Demons guarded several mining passage nodes within the mine, serving both as guards and sentries.

Finally, Zong Shen handed over a Burden-Bearer Mecha to Dutra, and then he left the mine with Wenresa and the others.

Next, Zong Shen had to prepare to head towards Boss Bang, with a stop at Sitanos Village first.

Because in two days it would be the date previously agreed upon with Master Mars.

Previously, Master Mars had promised to establish a large pasture in Zong Shen’s territory.

Zong Shen would provide the land and the defense of the pasture, while Master Mars would provide the funding.

It was a good time to visit Sitanos Village and pay a visit to Master Mars.

As for the details of the cooperation, Zong Shen was not worried because the territory’s chief logistics officer, Marie, was his own daughter.

As Master Mars’s beloved little one, Zong Shen believed Marie would strive to benefit the territory.

Additionally, there was a dirt road outside Sitanos Village leading directly to Boss Bang.

This dirt road was also a trade route in the area, connecting more than a dozen villages. It could accommodate two carriages side by side, and due to frequent travel, it had become quite solid.

On such a road, whether traveling by horse or on foot, the speed was much higher compared to crossing desolate grasslands.

Taking this dirt road could also save a certain amount of time.

Among the heroes available, only Luna had a mount; neither Hoy nor Wenresa had one.

Therefore, Zong Shen had Hoy ride on the back of the Immortal Gun Cavalry Cecilia’s horse.

While Wenresa rode with him on Pigsy.

After making all the arrangements, Zong Shen set off again with his team.

Heading directly towards Sitanos Village.

...

About half an hour later, they arrived outside Sitanos Village.

The place had become a hub for gathering lords over the past few days.

Standing on a high ground outside the village, Zong Shen could easily spot many lords at a glance.

The most distinctive feature of these lords was that they often traveled with wolf cavalry.

Wolf cavalry is a characteristic troop of the area and also a highly mobile force.

For lords going out, the best choice was to bring them along.

Additionally, in terms of clothing, ordinary indigenous people usually wore simple coarse cloth clothes.

Lords tended to dress more fancifully, typically in various leather or light armors.

Wearing helmets in varying conditions, they resembled neither mercenaries nor civilians, appearing somewhat mismatched.

For most lords, assembling a full set of equipment was a decent achievement.

There was no room for being choosy, and aesthetic concerns were secondary.

It was unlikely to find others like Zong Shen, who used Rare Level battle armor and Legendary Level weapons as spares.

Of course, some experienced lords might come in disguise after a makeover before entering the village.

As far as Zong Shen could see, just at the village entrance, there were five or six lords.

The main purpose of these lords coming to Sitanos Village was to sell and purchase supplies.

Exchanging accumulated animal pelts for Mainland Continent Universal Dinars.

Then using the dinars to purchase the necessary living materials.

This was the primary source of income for lords currently.

Many also wanted to try their luck in the village, hoping to find tasks to take on.

During the Burrow Challenge, ordinary lords were nearly immobilized.

If it weren’t for the [market] virtually becoming a standard structure that prevented material flow between lords from being completely cut off, many would struggle with food issues during the Burrow Challenge.

Especially after the end of the Newbie Stage, the difficulty of food preservation increased, making food a lingering issue in the minds of many lords.

Besides hunting fresh meat occasionally, they mostly sustained themselves on jerky.

Even if some lords obtained building blueprints like a cold storage, they might not have the means to construct it.

This was the current state of most lords.

Lords who survived had accomplished the basic goal, which was survival.

But there was still a long way to go to the next target, living well.

The majority of territories still ranged from a dozen to a hundred and eighty people, and this was partly due to the last points exchange opening up recruitment scrolls.

They have a long way to go for further development, and it’s a real grind, navigating their way slowly.

Compared to these ordinary lords, Zong Shen was undoubtedly on the fast track!
