Global Lords: I Have Information System

Chapter 482: Chapter 354: Devouring the Demon Remnant Soul, Demon State Enhanced Again

Zong Shen was initially a bit apprehensive about this, but soon relaxed because there was no special status appearing in his personal attribute list.

No matter how special the demon power might be, it is fundamentally impossible to surpass the Lord System.

The two are simply not on the same level.

After all, the Lord System has forcefully brought tens of billions of lords into this world.

It has constructed a semi-virtual exclusive system that allows lords to quickly adapt to this world.

As long as the Lord System has his back, Zong Shen dares to use the demon power without any scruples.

After reading the strategy hints, Zong Shen placed the [Sealing Demon Altar (Orange)] at his feet.

He immersed his mind into the storage grid and began searching.

He quickly found a rusty dagger, with three or four drops of black and red blood on the blade, burning with a faint green flame.

Zong Shen carefully held the dagger by its handle and examined it closely in front of him.

This dagger is an equipment, but it is in a severely rusted, damaged state.

[Broken Demon Slayer Dagger (Orange)]

[One-Handed]

[Quality: Legendary Level]

[Piercing Damage: 54~57]

[Slashing Damage: 61~64]

[Attack Range: 30]

[Attack Speed: +20%]

[Durability: 37]

[Agility Requirement: 40]

[Skills: Severely Damaged, Unusable]

(A dagger once used by an ancient demon slayer, it had once wounded the Fear Demon King Balnaha, the blood of the Great Demon possesses extremely destructive properties, the faint green chaotic flame can slowly reduce the equipment’s durability)

[Demon’s Blood (Orange)]

[Quality: Legendary Level]

[Downgraded due to overexposure time]

[Contains powerful demon power, can be used as magic materials]

(Demon’s blood is different from that of other creatures, there isn’t much blood in a demon’s body, but each drop is essence)

A legendary level dagger that is so broken it can’t be used.

Four drops of demon’s blood that were downgraded due to overexposure time.

Zong Shen gently shook the dagger, and the few drops of demon’s blood on it slid along the blade.

Seeing this, Zong Shen had already realized what needed to be done.

He began to activate the skill ”Demon State”!

Since the demon transformation skill devoured the demon’s heart, this skill has become the demon state.

This is his first time using the demon state skill, not knowing how it differs from the demon transformation.

”Roar!”

A demonic roar echoed from the room, instantly attracting the attention of all the subjects within the territory.

In Zong Shen’s bedroom, black light shimmered, revealing a figure over two meters high, shrouded in a completely opaque black shadow.

He had two exaggerated rams’ horns on his head and a pair of huge black wings partially spread behind him, unable to fully open because the room was somewhat cramped for his size.

Within the black shadow, from time to time, emerald green lines streaked by, outlining a body’s silhouette.

On his face, two eyes glinted with a green glow, and his nose and mouth were vaguely discernible, looking extremely sinister, while the area around the heart was delineated by green lines, pulsing incessantly.

This is the demon state, which, in shape alone, is somewhat different from the demon transformation.

After entering the demon state, Zong Shen felt filled with power, as if he could destroy everything with a mere gesture.

This feeling fascinated him; no one could resist the allure of power.

Now Zong Shen unhesitatingly raised the dagger, lifted his chin, and opened his mouth.

Aiming the blade downward into his mouth, very quickly the demon’s blood slipped off the blade, dripping into Zong Shen’s mouth.

His shadowy body flickered a few times, erupting with an intense black glow.

As the demon’s blood entered his mouth, it was like adding fuel to a fire, rapidly causing a reaction.

”Roar...”

Zong Shen let out another indeterminable roar.

However, this time he was noticeably more restrained.

After devouring the demon’s blood, he maintained the state of his body beaming with dark light.

He threw the broken dagger on the ground and casually picked up the [Sealing Demon Altar (Orange)], choosing to release the demon remnant soul contained within.

Immediately, the black glow at the altar’s mouth disappeared, as a black smoke surged out, gathering outside the altar, likewise transforming into a towering black shadow.

The two shadows directly collided with each other, and began a savage brawl.

They pulled each other’s bodies, growled, deterred, and even tore and devoured each other.

The entire Lord’s Small Tower trembled slightly, but the situation soon stabilized.

In demon state, Zong Shen easily took the upper hand, while Balnaha’s remnant soul was clearly overpowered.

Zong Shen directly held the shadow of the remnant soul, taking great bites, each bite devouring a basketball-sized chunk of the remnant shadow.

In this manner, in just over a minute, Zong Shen had completely devoured Balnaha’s remnant soul.

His entire body radiated black brilliance, although it was broad daylight, his room was filled with darkness.

Zong Shen silently sensed the changes in his body, experiencing a peculiar feeling, neither painful nor comfortable.

However, he could distinctly perceive a newfound power within his body.

As Zong Shen silently indulged in his sensations, the strategy hint actively reemerged once more.

(Take out the Heart of Impurity, receive the demon power, and strip away the Evil’s Filth)

Seeing this hint, Zong Shen abruptly came to his senses, focused his mind, and took out the [Heart of Impurity] from the storage grid, grasping it in the large claw formed by his shadow.

Strands of black energy surged out, enveloping the entire Heart of Impurity within moments.

A minute later, Zong Shen’s demon state time ended, and the black shadow retreated like a tide.

The black light in the room vanished, back at the bedside, Zong Shen stood in place, holding the Heart of Impurity, with half of the Evil’s Filth on its surface dissolved.

His skill named [Evil’s Filth] had also increased from lv1 to lv15, allowing a fragment of Evil’s Filth measuring 30 centimeters by 30 centimeters to manifest externally on a designated area, to ward off attacks.

That’s a 900 square centimeter area, equivalent to 0.09 square meters.

Furthermore, Zong Shen’s demon state skill had undergone some changes.

[Skill: Demon State]

[Enhanced Demon State: Transform into a powerful demon, increasing base damage by 1.85 times, life value by 2.8 times, attack speed by 1.5 times, armor value and magic resistance by 2.5 times, immune to physical damage by 35%, can convert 15% of damage dealt to enemies into life value.

Weapon attacks inflict an additional 35 points of chaos damage, and chaos light balls can be thrown for ranged attacks, with a maximum attack range of 100 meters, damage attribute ignores armor, duration of 5 minutes, cooling time of 50 hours]

After devouring the demon remnant soul and demon’s blood, the [Demon State] skill experienced further changes.

The boost ratios were significantly increased, duration extended by 2 minutes, and cooling time reduced by 2 hours.

Once entering the demon state, Zong Shen’s strength could instantly be doubled or tripled!

This multiplier effect is fantastic; the stronger Zong Shen becomes, the stronger he becomes upon entering the demon state.

Moreover, this time after the enhanced demon state, the cooldown was reset.

From the onset of demon transformation to the current demon state, Zong Shen has come to understand that the birth and transformation of these skills all derive from leveraging the Lord System.

The demon power devoured in demon form requires no digestion.

Simply put, when the state ends, this power is fused into the skill by the Lord System!
