Celestial Night Emperor

Chapter 46: Chapter 46: All Banquets in the City Cease

Qin Tianxuan’s name was reported directly to the Gu Clan Leader’s confidant.

The man was stunned. He found the clan leader and exclaimed, ”President Gu, that Qin guy actually showed up! The nerve of him! He’s right outside our banquet hall!”

The Gu Clan Leader’s eyes glinted. ”Hmph. He’s here to cause a scene and frame my son for having an illegitimate daughter! I’ve seen plenty of his kind. They’re just trying to extort some money!”

”Clan Leader, should we find someone to kill him?”

”Bullshit! Do you have any idea what kind of event this is? We can’t use force here!”

The Gu Clan Leader shot to his feet. ”Relay my orders! Get two security teams from our corporate subsidiaries over here. Then, ask South City Lord Yan to come and hold down the fort! And remember, don’t let that Qin fellow take a single step inside!”

The Gu Clan Leader was both furious and contemptuous.

”Has Han Biwei really fallen this far? Notify the major media outlets we’ve paid, and also the social media influencers at the banquet. Tell them to write me a real hit piece. I want Han Biwei’s reputation completely destroyed!”

Two commands, perfectly calculated, sinister, and vicious.

He was truly the most iron-fisted Patriarch the Gu Family had seen in a generation.

The reputation of Gu Clan Leader Gu Weiqi wasn’t built on empty talk; he had climbed to the top, step by step, over the bodies of others.

The Gu Family’s corporate security guards had arrived, followed by three Land Rovers.

The guards surrounded the venue, nonchalantly keeping an eye on Qin Tianxuan at the entrance.

Inside one of the Land Rovers, South City’s number one boss, Yandong Mountain, was also watching through the window.

”Lord Yan, the Gu Family paid a hefty sum for this. Any idea who we’re supposed to be dealing with?”

Old Yama chuckled. ”It’s just another squabble between wealthy families. To put it bluntly, they’re just fighting over face. Hmm, did the Gu Family say who it is?”

”Just that it’s a man in a white shirt and black trousers, with a rather handsome young guy next to him.”

”Shit! Get a name! I don’t have all damn day to waste!”

The name and photo arrived a moment later.

Old Yama, who had been rubbing his foot with one hand, picked up his phone with the other. One glance was all it took for his eyes to bulge.

THUNK! His head slammed into the roof of the car.

”Lord Yan, what’s wrong?”

Panting, Old Yama grabbed his subordinate by the collar. ”Shit! Who the hell took this job?”

The subordinate was terrified. ”It... it was Wang San.”

Old Yama looked again at the picture of Wang Hou and Qin Tianxuan on his phone and nearly had a stroke.

”Immediately! Right now! Break both of Wang San’s legs and throw him in a warehouse!” Old Yama gasped. ”The rest of you, get out of the car with me! Call in all of South City’s best fighters!”

”Boss, who are we supposed to be helping here?”

”Are you stupid?! Do you have any fucking idea who those two are?!”

”I... I have no idea!”

”Then shut your mouth!”

After a series of loud slaps, Old Yama gathered his men. They were a formidable, menacing force.

But he didn’t make a move just yet. ”All of you, watch closely. If the Gu Family dares to lay a single finger on him, you charge in and beat them half to death!”

Old Yama had a clear plan. ’If I go over now, it won’t be impressive enough.’

’I’ll wait for the Gu Family to do something suicidally stupid, like actually trying to attack the gentleman. Rushing in then—that’s how I’ll prove my loyalty!’

Unfortunately, Yandong Mountain never got the chance to play the hero and protect his master.

Blocked at the entrance, Qin Tianxuan didn’t even bat an eye. ”Wang Hou, we’re leaving.”

’Huh? Sir? Aren’t we going to force our way in?’

Qin Tianxuan’s expression was placid. ”There’s no need.”

He got back in his car and sneered. ”Relay my order. As of this moment, all banquets in Su City are suspended. No banquet hall in the entire city is to remain open.”

Wang Hou suppressed a smile, took out his phone, and began sending a rapid series of messages.

In an instant, Su City was on lockdown.

Wang Hou looked across at the Mingshan Assembly Hall. ”Sir, what about this one?”

”You’re asking me?” Qin Tianxuan glanced at him. ”You’re Wang Hou of the God of Wealth Hall. You’re telling me you can’t even handle something this simple?”

Wang Hou’s face flushed red.

Without another word, he got out of the car and made a call. ”Acquire Mingshan Assembly Hall. I want it under our control within thirty minutes. Then, clear the premises.”

In less than thirty minutes, a vice president from the Dongshen Financial Group had the matter settled.

The owner of Mingshan Assembly Hall didn’t dare breathe a word of protest; he practically fell to his knees before the Dongshen Financial Group on the spot.

Inside the assembly hall, the Gu Family’s steward, who was in the middle of selecting wines for the banquet, was suddenly summoned to the main office.

”Sorry, the banquet’s been canceled. The Gu Family has fifteen minutes to pack your things and get out.”

The Gu Family steward was dumbfounded.

He roared, ”Give me one reason!”

”There is no reason. Pal, you have fourteen minutes.”

”Damn it! The Gu Family has never been humiliated like this! I demand to speak to your boss!”

”You have thirteen minutes.”

”Damn it, do you people ever want to do business again?”

”We’ll continue doing business, just not with the Gu Family.”

The Gu Family steward was livid. ”I’m going to report you!”

”Go ahead. But you only have ten minutes left.”

The steward ran out, clutching his head, and frantically reported back to Gu Clan Leader Gu Weiqi.

Gu Weiqi slammed his hand on the table and shot to his feet, about to call in his security guards and subordinates in a rage.

But then the Mingshan Assembly Hall’s own security force appeared—a shocking two hundred burly men, who immediately began throwing things out onto the street.

All the banquet gifts the Gu Family had brought were tossed onto the road.

The two-hundred-odd men, armed with iron bars, began to tap them menacingly on the floor.

Gu Weiqi trembled from head to toe. He stood there, gritting his teeth for a long moment, before finally lowering his head in defeat. ”Find another venue, now! I don’t care what it costs. Get everything set up again before Miss Shen arrives!”
