I Return From Hell

Chapter 173: Chapter 166: Sis, I Want to Enter the Girls’ Dorm

Huayang University of Technology.

The siblings, Xia Yu and Xia Tian, had arrived at the university. Since they didn’t have much luggage, they weren’t in a hurry to return to the dorms, choosing instead to stroll around campus and chat.

It was mainly Xia Tian, visiting the university for the first time, who was doing all the talking.

”You guys have a lake on campus? And a mountain? I gotta say, it’s pretty beautiful. Sis, you should stay away from the lake. The water’s a good five meters deep, and there’s probably a lot of silt at the bottom. It’d be really dangerous if you fell in.”

”Wow, flowers! You have a whole sea of flowers on campus? They’ve made it really romantic. But this area is a little secluded. Sis, if you come to look at the flowers, make sure you come when there are lots of people around. You’re too pretty; you have to learn how to protect yourself.”

”Sis, what’s your cafeteria like? Is it clean? You don’t have any of those absurd scandals here, like them trying to pass off a rat head as duck neck, do you?”

...

Xia Yu, long used to this, just humored him with noncommittal replies.

’As long as Little Tian is happy, that’s all that matters.’

After lunch. 𝖿𝖗ⅇℴ𝑚

The two of them arrived at Dorm Building 9.

”I’m here. You can go home now.”

Xia Yu waved her hand dismissively.

Xia Tian asked, ”Sis, can’t I come up and see your dorm room?”

”Do you want to see the dorm room, or do you want to see the pretty girls in the dorm?”

Xia Yu asked, ”Let me guess. Do you like ’em leggy or busty?”

”Uh...”

Caught off guard by her sudden suggestive joke, Xia Tian was flustered. He could only blush and say, ”Sis, stop joking around. With a beauty like you for a sister, I’m practically immune to other women.”

”I heard that security is pretty lax at the beginning of the semester and anyone can go into the dorms, so I was just asking.”

”Lies.”

”Keep lying.”

Xia Yu didn’t believe him for a second. ”You think I didn’t see you and Wang Zhe gawking and pointing at pretty girls walking by a couple of months ago?”

”’A mountain range from the front, a peak from the side... different heights and angles all have their own charm.’”

”’A maiden’s feelings are always poetry.’”

”Such beautiful poetry! You brainiacs really are on another level!”

???

The corner of Xia Tian’s mouth twitched. He hurriedly explained, ”Sis, that was all Wang Zhe! I didn’t say a thing.”

”Heh.”

Xia Yu crossed her arms, a gesture that only accentuated her impressive bust. ”True, he’s the one who said it,” she said. ”But birds of a feather flock together. You definitely understood what he meant by it!”

Xia Tian froze.

’He did understand. That damn Wang Zhe said stuff like that all the time and always insisted on explaining it to him. How could he not get it?’

Sigh. ℯ𝔴ℯ

’Wang Zhe, you’ve doomed me!’

Just then, a nearby delivery guy was so captivated by a great beauty like Xia Yu that he stared a moment too long, missed a step on the stairs, and spilled all the food he was carrying.

It splashed all over Xia Tian’s pant leg.

”Ugh.”

”Well, now I have to go even if I didn’t want to.”

He said with resignation.

The delivery guy apologized profusely, but Xia Tian just waved his hand to show it was no big deal and left.

Xia Yu headed straight upstairs.

She briefly greeted her roommates, then started to unpack and make her bed.

She didn’t plan on staying here permanently.

She would mostly live at home, only staying at the dorm during the Mist Events when it was inconvenient to go back.

This way, she wouldn’t arouse Xia Tian’s suspicion, and it would be more convenient for her to move around.

’Killing two birds with one stone.’

CREAK.

The door had barely creaked open when a voice burst in first. ”I can’t even believe it! The delivery guy dropped my noodles all over the ground. Now I’ve got no lunch!”

Following the voice, a short-haired girl in a blue down jacket walked in.

Her name was Lin Yuxia, one of Xia Yu’s roommates. She was from out of province and was on good terms with Xia Yu—you could call them best friends.

’Her noodles were spilled?’

A glint appeared in Xia Yu’s eyes. ’It couldn’t be that much of a coincidence, could it?’

”Does anyone have instant noodles?”

”Eh?”

”Little Yu, you’re here!”

The moment Lin Yuxia saw Xia Yu, her eyes lit up, and she suddenly quickened her pace.

She had a boisterous personality and a peculiar habit: groping chests. As her best friend, Xia Yu had naturally been unable to escape her fiendish claws and had fallen victim to her attacks numerous times.

She’d even been ranked by Lin Yuxia as having one of the ”Top Ten Busts in the Entire Class.”

This time...

STEP.

With a simple sidestep, Xia Yu dodged Lin Yuxia’s demonic claws and said, ”I don’t have any instant noodles.”

”Tsk, tsk.”

Only then did Lin Yuxia get a proper look at her best friend. Her eyes immediately lit up. ”My dearest friend, how have you gotten so pretty over one winter break?”

”I used to think you were just a tiny bit prettier than me, but now...”

”I feel insecure just standing next to you. I don’t even have the courage to compare myself.”

”And your aura... Wow, I really love it.”

”I can’t hold back anymore! Quick, let me have a feel!”

As she spoke, she suddenly reached out, grabbing for Xia Yu again.

SMACK.

”Here, I have a bag of shrimp crackers and a bag of spicy gluten sticks from Little Tian. You can snack on these for now.”

Xia Yu directly stuffed the two bags of snacks into Lin Yuxia’s hands, preventing her from continuing her assault.

”Spicy gluten sticks!”

”Little Tian really gets me! My pure, chaste body is his from now on. You can just call me your sister-in-law.”

Lin Yuxia’s eyes lit up. All thoughts of chests vanished, replaced by the singular glory of spicy gluten sticks!

This was simply the most delicious food on earth!

Xia Yu: ”...”

She really didn’t know what to do with her best friend.

Memories of their friendship surfaced in her mind:

They often went shopping, ate street-side skewers, and attended class together...

Back when she was short on cash, Lin Yuxia would often lend her money, telling her she could pay it back whenever.

Lin Yuxia knew her family wasn’t well-off, so when they ate together, she would always order meat dishes but barely touch them, eating the vegetable dishes Xia Yu had ordered instead.

...

Thinking of this, Xia Yu’s heart warmed.

It was just a pity.

Such a good person... In her previous life, the moment the Apocalypse began, she had been swarmed and overwhelmed by the tide of Mutants in the shopping mall.

Utterly and completely dead.

”Sister Yu Xia, I haven’t eaten eitherrr. Can you give me the bag of shrimp crackers?”

another roommate in the dorm asked in a delicate, weak-sounding voice.

Her name was Guan Xiaorou. She had big, expressive eyes, fair skin, and a slender, petite, and adorable figure.

As she spoke, her captivating, almond-shaped eyes welled up with tears. Who could possibly resist such a sight?

Lin Yuxia just glanced at her and refused without a second thought. ”Save that routine you use on guys. It won’t work on me.”

”Hmph.”

”You’re so cruel.”

Guan Xiaorou clutched at her heart—well, the thick layer of collagen covering it—and said with a fragile, heartbroken expression, ”And to think I considered you my best friend.”

”SOB SOB...”

”Oh, shut up.”

Lin Yuxia retorted while munching on a spicy stick, her lips turning red from the seasoning. ”Just yesterday in the bathroom when you were borrowing a pad, you told Qiushui *she* was your best friend. Don’t think I didn’t hear you.”

Shi Qiushui, Xia Yu’s other roommate, was dating an older man in his forties. She insisted it was true love, and no amount of persuasion from anyone could change her mind.

Every month, there were always a good one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, or eight days when she wouldn’t come back to the dorm.

The reason for the irregular number of days was that her forty-something-year-old boyfriend was sometimes busy as hell and other times completely free.

After all, he was the CEO of a company, so it made sense.

”Hmph.”

”Fine, I won’t eat it then.”

Having been exposed, Guan Xiaorou dropped the act. She pouted and said, ”I’ll just get someone else to buy me food.”

Lin Yuxia shot back, ”Have one of your backup boyfriends buy me some fried noodles, with an extra serving. This little snack isn’t enough to fill me up.”

Guan Xiaorou flatly refused. ”Nope.”

”Haven’t seen you for one winter break and you’re already rebelling?”

Lin Yuxia rolled up her sleeves. ”Oh, so you’ve gotten bold over the break, Guan Xiaorou? Or do you think I’ve lost my touch?”

”Today, I will show the world who the real boss of Dorm 303 is!”

”Taste my...”

”Milk Divine Palm!”

”Yu, save me!”

”Not even my idol could save you today!”

The two girls started wrestling playfully.

For a moment, the room was filled with surging waves and tantalizing glimpses of skin.

Xia Yu glanced at the boys’ dorm across the way and saw many eyes fixed on their window. She casually pulled the curtains shut, and was immediately met with a chorus of despairing wails from outside.

’College life is pretty great,’

Xia Yu thought with a slight smile, continuing to make her bed while considering her next move.

Just then, her phone began to ring...
