Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 634: Chapter 28: The Consequences of Omniscience and Omnipotence

”Huh～”

The Contractor felt a chill in his heart. After coming into contact with the Travel Group, he smoothly went with the flow of the plot and gained the initial trust of the Travel Group Leader. Plus, he could act alongside members like Feitan, which inevitably made him a bit complacent.

”Guys, I have no other intentions, I just want to help you snatch the auction item and get a piece of the pie. An internal conflict at this time...”

”Internal conflict?”

Feitan interrupted the Contractor’s words and suddenly stepped forward. Before the Contractor could react, Feitan had already choked him by the neck.

”Wait...”

The Contractor tried to struggle, a milky white aura spread around Feitan, and the arm squeezing the Contractor’s neck surged with great force, making it impossible for him to break free.

”The Leader suspected you long ago. First you intentionally approached him, then you seemed to know everything about anything. Your face at that time was so disgusting it made people want to vomit. And how did you know we were going to attack the auction house? The Leader once speculated that you might have a Trait System Telekinesis with a prophecy ability, a special talent. But after some observation, you don’t even know the basic knowledge of Nen, nor do you have any prophecy ability.”

Feitan completely ignored the Contractor’s explanation, and the force of his grip increased.

”Franklin... save me.”

The Contractor’s face turned red. He thought he had a slight friendship with Franklin, or at least it was what he believed.

”Feitan, don’t kill him.”

Hearing Franklin’s words, the Contractor’s face showed joy.

”Interrogate him, maybe we’ll get more information.”

”What... what did you say?!”

The Contractor’s body trembled violently as if in mourning. He had witnessed Feitan torture an enemy once.

”But time is short, the auction is about to start.”

”It’s alright, it’s the Leader’s command.”

”Okay, I’ve been displeased with him for a long time anyway, hope he can hold on for a bit.”

Feitan exerted force, first half-strangling the Contractor, then tying him up with a Special Rope.

Five minutes later, the basement was filled with the smell of blood. Franklin frowned tightly. Feitan’s methods of interrogating the enemy were somewhat insane, far beyond most people’s psychological limits. Merely witnessing it was enough to make one’s scalp tingle, let alone experiencing it firsthand.

Feitan casually tossed away an eyeball in his hand; the Contractor was barely recognizable.

”Mission? Could he be a spy for some organization?”

Feitan’s eyes were full of excitement as he stared at the half-dead Contractor, who kept his mouth tightly shut, only revealing scant information.

In fact, it wasn’t that the Contractor was tight-lipped, but some information he spilled was blocked by Reincarnation Paradise, such as the existence of Reincarnation Paradise. Under Feitan’s torture, the Contractor even confessed to embarrassing childhood incidents like sneaking a peek at his sister in the bath.

”No useful information, what now?”

Feitan looked to Franklin, trusting Franklin’s steady character.

”Doesn’t matter, stick to the original plan. However, he did mention another psychic beyond the Yin Beast; we need to be careful about that.”

”Okay.”

Feitan snapped the Contractor’s throat. Even at death, the Contractor couldn’t believe he died because of a single wrong word.

This is the fate of someone lacking power yet pretending to be omniscient in front of plot characters. Although Su Xiao wasn’t weak, he often ’played dumb.’

”Let’s first find a way to infiltrate the auction. The Hero and the others are waiting for our cover.”

Just as Feitan finished speaking, a vibration suddenly came from above.

Perceiving this vibration, Franklin kicked Shizuku’s butt, sending her flying with a scream, her head hitting the wall.

Boom!

The ceiling of the basement shattered, debris flying everywhere. A long knife slashed through where Shizuku had been. If Franklin hadn’t kicked her away, she would’ve been decapitated in an instant.

Not every Travel Group member was strong. Some members’ abilities were more functional and not suited for combat, like Shizuku, whose manifestation ability created the ’Bulging Eye Fish,’ a creature-like vacuum that could suck in anything Shizuku deemed lifeless.

Dust shrouded the basement, Feitan’s face was grave. Sensing the aura of the newcomer, he judged this person was not to be trifled with.

”Who is it?”

”...”

There was no response, but Feitan clearly felt there was someone in the dust.

”Why don’t you ’Guests’ use the front door? You can’t be here to rob the auction, can you?”

Su Xiao walked out from the dust. It wasn’t the travel group members he discovered, but Bubu Wang had noticed sounds from the basement while patrolling the first floor.

In the original plot, Feitan and the others would kill all Gang members participating in the first auction.

However, Su Xiao had already collaborated with the Ten Old Men’s power. If such a thing were to happen, then collecting five Soul Crystals (Medium) daily would be too unkind.

The dust settled, and Su Xiao, holding a long knife, appeared in the basement. On the upper floor, a large number of Gang members gathered, observing the situation below through a hole. They didn’t dare to come down, only pointing guns at Feitan and the other two below.

Not only Gang members but also Contractors who joined the Ten Old Men’s power rushed over after hearing the noise.

”We’ve been discovered. You retreat first, I’ll cover.”

A milky white aura burst from Franklin’s body. This was his Telekinesis Ability, invisible to ordinary people.

”You and Shizuku retreat first, I’ll handle this.”

Feitan looked at Su Xiao, a rare war intent appearing in his eyes.

”This seems to be a high-ranked person from the Gang. Catching him might lead to a lot of information.”

Franklin hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded.

”Understood. Then I’ll take Shizuku to meet up with Wokim and the others. We got news from the treasury, it’s empty, be careful.”

”Empty? Looks like that guy wasn’t lying.”

Feitan glanced at the broken body not far away. While they were talking, Su Xiao was already walking forward, holding his knife.

The Phantom Troupe wasn’t easy to deal with, but fortunately, they weren’t here to kill but to loot auction items.

Those items belonged to the Ten Old Men and had little to do with Su Xiao. But if he directly gave the items to the Troupe, the Ten Old Men would never let it go, and it wasn’t Su Xiao’s style either.

The best outcome is for Su Xiao to have a fight with the Troupe, causing massive casualties among the Yin Beasts under the Ten Old Men. At that point, whether the Ten Old Men opt for damage control or strategic retreat wouldn’t matter to Su Xiao.

His main mission was to get involved in the auction. Essentially, there were no strict sides to choose from. He helped the Ten Old Men simply because they paid him in Soul Crystals.

Thinking this way makes things simple. As long as the auction items aren’t taken by the Troupe in the initial stage, when all the Yin Beasts are dead, the Ten Old Men won’t care about those items but will be shivering in fear, begging Su Xiao to save them, at which point he could raise the price!

Inside the basement.

Noticing Su Xiao approaching, Feitan took out a dark red umbrella. After opening it, the umbrella was pointed directly at Su Xiao, with a black skull pattern on the surface. Feitan hid behind the umbrella, using his short stature to his advantage, completely concealing him.

Franklin and Shizuku crawled into the dismantled hole they had come in from. Their goal was merely to attract the Gang’s attention. The true force to seize the auction items were Wokim, Nobunaga, Hero, and Machi.

Although they didn’t achieve the intended plan, the trio successfully drew the enemy’s attention. However, realizing Su Xiao’s considerable strength, they left someone to cover their retreat as the others withdrew.

Su Xiao stared at the umbrella’s surface, recalling Feitan’s ability in his mind.

Although Feitan was a Transmuter, he possessed close combat abilities not inferior to an Enhancer. His Close Combat Ability ranked in the top three within the Troupe.

”Heh heh heh～”

Feitan snickered, pulling a long knife from the umbrella. This knife was slender, with a light and thin blade, concealed within the umbrella.

”Looks like our weapons are similar. It’s been a while since I ’exercised,’ a good time for a warm-up.”

Feitan suddenly disappeared from sight, his speed so fast that it was beyond visual tracking.

Su Xiao squinted his eyes; Feitan’s speed was extreme, so fast that he could only capture afterimages.

A rustling sound approached; Feitan appeared before Su Xiao, thrusting the long knife at Su Xiao’s face.

”Hard.”

With a low growl, a vast amount of Telekinesis Energy gathered in the long knife Feitan held. The energy was dense enough to emit a golden glow.

Clang!

A crisp sound resonated far away as the knife stopped inches from Su Xiao’s forehead, a transparent energy shield appeared.
