Chapter 616: Chapter 10: Demon

Blood dripped from his chin as Su Xiao held his long knife in a cleaving posture.

Faster, faster.

It seemed to sense Su Xiao’s desire, because the long knife in his hand indeed sped up, and in others’ eyes, Dragon Slash had already left an afterimage.

Poof.

The long knife sliced down, and the Rhino’s body stiffened.

A red line appeared on the Rhino’s head as half of its skull began to slowly misalign.

”Guh... guh...”

The Rhino made a meaningless sound, and two seconds later, it started to collapse backward.

The Invincible Shield lasted only a second before disappearing, as a bullet shot toward Su Xiao’s lower back.

Bam.

A 50-strength energy shield shattered, and the bullet struck Su Xiao’s lower back.

Getting hit by a 30mm caliber bullet felt, in Su Xiao’s personal experience, like being hammered.

The front half of the bullet embedded into the flesh; luckily, the energy shield cushioned the impact, otherwise, it would have punched a hole through him.

The sound of rushing wind came next to him; Su Xiao barely turned his head, a blood mark appeared on his cheek—it was the Demoness.

Although the Demoness attacked, Su Xiao still couldn’t locate her position, as if she didn’t exist.

He glanced towards the Red Clown not far away, who hadn’t done much since the battle started.

There were two possibilities—first, the Red Clown was a support character and did not have strong combat capabilities.

Judging by previous circumstances, the Corpse had asked for the Red Clown’s support, so it was unlikely that the Red Clown was a support character.

If not a support, it left only the second possibility; the opponent was preparing something, and the Red Clown’s aura was becoming increasingly abnormal.

While thinking, Su Xiao generated a 300-strength energy shield for defense against the distant ’Cannon.’

The sound of rushing wind struck in front; Su Xiao reached out his left hand.

Poof.

A sharp weapon pierced Su Xiao’s palm, but his fingers clenched tightly as a muffled groan sounded in the air.

Got it!

Su Xiao grinned; the translucent form of the Demoness shuddered upon seeing this smile.

The long knife cleaved forward, and simultaneously, a sharp weapon pierced Su Xiao’s chest—the Demoness wielded a dual-hand weapon.

Ignoring the sharp pain in his chest, Su Xiao swung the knife down.

”Aaargh!”

A scream echoed as an arm holding a dagger fell to the ground.

”Spare me...”

Su Xiao continued to slash—the second, third, fourth cut.

When he cleaved the fifth time, an ’invisible’ arm gradually appeared in his hand; looking down, he saw a woman’s shattered corpse at his feet.

Casually tossing aside the arm, he bit into the dagger embedded in his palm and pulled it out.

Spitting out the dagger, Su Xiao shook off the blood on his left hand.

The gunfire had inexplicably stopped; Su Xiao spat out bloody saliva, his gaze fixed on the Red Clown.

”Spectacular.”

The Red Clown clapped from afar.

Su Xiao didn’t speak, slowly walking towards the Red Clown.

”Finally, it’s done. Rhino, Demoness, I could have died for you, and today, you die for me. Would you agree to it?”

The Red Clown closed his eyes and said, ”Mr. Hunter, have you ever... seen a demon?”

Dark red flames rose from the Red Clown’s body, and faintly within the flames were two figures. Upon closer look, they were the souls of Rhino and the Demoness. Neither resisted, as if they had long been prepared for this moment.

Both were actually willing to die for the Red Clown, indicating his unique charisma personality.

”Boss, thank you for taking in this outcast; now the Rhino becomes a part of you.”

The dark red flames absorbed into the Red Clown’s body, and his aura began to change.

”Hell Flame.”

The Red Clown pointed a forefinger and with a whoosh, sent a dark red fireball flying towards Su Xiao.

A heatwave surged forward; Su Xiao jumped sideways to dodge, barely avoiding the dark red flame.

The dark red flame traced an arc, finally landing on a rock, instantly consuming it to ashes, and moreover, the ground burned by the dark red flames turned to lava.

”Finally achieved it, the accumulated result of 10 Derivative Worlds.”

The Red Clown stared at the hand that unleashed the flame, seemingly in disbelief that it had emerged from him. To obtain this ’damned’ demon bloodline, he had sacrificed countless souls.

Due to his personal temperament, those souls that he sacrificed each had a chance to seize control of his body. 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

Even so, the Red Clown still acquired the demon bloodline, an extremely rare bloodline in Reincarnation Paradise.

Su Xiao’s brow furrowed; the Red Clown’s aura had dramatically changed, giving him a sense of danger.

They stood a few meters apart, neither making the first move.

On a hillside a kilometer away, a blue-braided girl observed the battlefield through binoculars. Both her sniper rifle and magazines had been put away.

In Reincarnation Paradise, the girl was known as Vini, Travel Group number 8, age 16. Though she was 16, her figure seemed under 14 years old, at least her bust size did.

Vini swung a lock of her own blue braid, shells littered underfoot.

”Clown, your twenty minutes are up, want to renew? A friendly reminder: your enemy’s name is Bai Ye. Travel Group number 8 Cowboy Hat Man once lost to him, and it’s said his bladder got punctured in the process.”

The Red Clown didn’t respond, and Vini pouted.

”No renewal then; if you die, I don’t want to get close to that guy. Get close to him, and you’re dead.”

Vini put away her binoculars, whistling as she left. She never intended to get close to Su Xiao, always mindful of that fact.

120,000 Paradise Coins for 20 minutes of fighting, excluding ammunition expenses, Vini netted 80,000 Paradise Coins.

”Sigh, bullets are so expensive. I’m envious of close combat, but with my flimsy plastic physique, close combat will never be my path.”

...

On the field, Su Xiao and the Red Clown stood in a standoff.

Su Xiao checked the progress of his Hunt task, completed (4/5), with only the Red Clown remaining.

”Number One” Potion slipped out from his sleeve; with a thumb flick, he removed one side of its casing to reveal a gleaming needle.

”Number One” Potion had two ways of use: it could be drunk or injected.

Because the Number One Potion contained diluted Hashirama Cells, injecting was risky, but the recovery effect was stronger.

Su Xiao faced the Red Clown in a standoff; the opponent wouldn’t watch him drink a potion, given the vulnerability exposed when drinking.

He pressed the needle of the Number One Potion into his neck and activated the syringe button on the vial.

Hiss～

The potion injected into his body, veins bulging on Su Xiao’s face as the corrosive cells entered.

Converting Mana Value into Blue Steel Shadow Energy, the Blue Steel Shadow Energy quickly expelled the ’Invaders’; in moments, Su Xiao’s internal condition stabilized as Hashirama Cells were annihilated.

His wounds rapidly healed, and the bullet lodged in his lower back gradually pushed out, Life Value swiftly recovering from 30% to about 98%.

Though his wounds healed, fatigue couldn’t be dispelled. After blocking so many bullets and being slammed twice, Su Xiao felt exhausted.

But the enemy was right before him; in this situation, either the enemy would die, or he would.

Two short knives about 70 centimeters long appeared in the Red Clown’s hands, dark red hellfire clinging to them.

”Mr. Hunter, allow me to reintroduce myself—I am now the Hell Clown, once an actor.”

While speaking, the Clown stomped the ground and charged proactively at Su Xiao.

It was rare for anyone to charge at Su Xiao; Naruto World’s Kakashi had done so once. However, Kakashi had been turned into a treasure chest, and an already-opened one at that.

Su Xiao bent low, holding his knife in one hand, eyes tracing the Clown’s footsteps.

The Clown’s steps were erratic, unpredictable as to where he would step or from which angle he’d attack.

Whoosh～

The Clown suddenly disappeared, executing a short-range Flash Move, reappearing in front of Su Xiao.
