Chapter 943: Chapter 942: Eiriri’s Life Consultation (Part 1)

Asuna didn’t even know how she returned to her room.

If the previous book shattered Asuna’s perception of love, then what she saw today deeply shook her to her core.

Yes, shook.

For the first time since birth, Asuna truly witnessed intimate encounters between a man and a woman, but it was different from what she’d previously imagined and from what she’d seen in the book.

What Asuna once dreamed of was a fantasy-like romance from girl comics. Simply put, it involved a pristine white bed, romantic petals, and a gentle, thoughtful boyfriend embracing her, sharing kisses, whispering sweet words, and then... Asuna didn’t know what to do next, but she knew she should trust herself to that man.

However, Eiriri’s book showed Asuna another extreme, naked lust, the pursuit of bodies, a greedy desire as if they were beasts in estrus, and endless uninhibited abuse.

This is why Asuna’s worldview was shattered; it’s like watching a romance movie where the first half is a classic Prince Charming and Cinderella love story, only for the latter half to morph into a 20+ deep O-beast X heavy thriller. Anyone would question reality at that point.

Yet, what she personally witnessed was different.

Different from Asuna’s prior dreams, different from the exaggeration in the book, the real-life scene brought Asuna a more complex feeling.

Her expression was so joyful, it even made Asuna feel a hint of... happiness?

Yes, happiness.

It’s a kind of happiness Asuna had never seen in anyone else, which is why Asuna hurriedly fled afterward; she felt like a child who accidentally saw something forbidden, her whole body tense and sweating.

”Ha......”

Lying on the bed and staring at the dim ceiling, Asuna turned over. She should’ve been sleeping by now according to the time, but she couldn’t fall asleep. She didn’t even have the mood to do her nightly routine ”exercise” because her mind was a mess, filled with all sorts of questions.

Why would Mr. Fang Zheng and Eiriri?

Are they dating?

But it doesn’t seem like it, and why does nobody know about it?

When did Eiriri and Mr. Fang Zheng start being involved?

Asuna lay in bed with these thoughts running wild all night until dawn when she finally fell into a deep sleep.

”Knock knock knock.”

Asuna woke up to knocking, not knowing how long she had slept. She groggily sat up from bed and rubbed her eyes. Then, as if sleepwalking, she walked to the door and opened it.

Soon, Eiriri’s smiling face appeared before Asuna.

”Yo, Asuna, I’ve come to see you. What... whoa! What’s happened to you?”

Seeing the sleepy, messy-haired Asuna, Eiriri was similarly shocked. She’d sought out Asuna to see her situation, especially since Mr. Fang Zheng had described Asuna’s condition as quite serious yesterday, sparking Eiriri’s curiosity.

Besides, she was a bit worried since the main reason for Asuna’s problem was her own book, which though for Eiriri was merely a pastime as a creator, she didn’t want it to hurt anyone.

But looking at Asuna’s current state, Eiriri was indeed stunned.

Does my book have such impact? Can it turn people into zombies? You have to be kidding me.

”I mean... are you really okay? Should we...?”

Eiriri instinctively suggested a doctor seeing Asuna’s pale and fatigued face, but then remembered they were in the Game World, where doctors were nonexistent.

”I’m, I’m okay, please come in.”

Asuna shook her head, opened the door, and dashed into the bathroom.

”Sorry, I just woke up, wait a moment.”

”Alright.”

Entering Asuna’s room, Eiriri sat on a chair, and soon Asuna emerged refreshed—though still somewhat lacking in Spirit, she was better than before.

”What’s up? Just woke up?”

”Didn’t sleep well last night...”

Facing Eiriri’s curious inquiry, Asuna gave a bitter smile and shook her head, then hesitated before deciding to look at Eiriri.

”Uh... Eiriri, I want to ask you something.”

”What is it?”

”Are you and Mr. Fang Zheng... dating?”

”Why do you ask that?”

”Because...”

Asuna was momentarily at a loss for words in face of Eiriri’s questioning. How should she explain? Because she saw Eiriri and Fang Zheng’s intimate encounter, leading to doubt?

Unexpectedly, Eiriri blinked, then slightly raised the corner of her mouth, showing sharp little canine teeth.

”Ah, because you saw yesterday?”

”No, no, no... I......”

Hearing this, Asuna jumped as if shocked, nervously waving her hands.

”I didn’t mean to... I just...”

”You were just curious, I know.”

This time, Eiriri grinned as if a prank succeeded, watching Asuna. Feeling Eiriri’s gaze, Asuna hung her head dejectedly.

”How did you know...?”

”Did you forget what I do in the team?”

”Ah...”

Seeing Eiriri gesture to a telescope, Asuna recalled that Eiriri’s role in the Dark Moon Sword Guild was as Scout, boasting the highest Enemy Detection Skill in the guild, even above Fang Zheng. A higher Enemy Detection Skill meant a broader observation range and more detailed information...clearly, yesterday Asuna was noticed by Eiriri even at the door.

”Alright, I won’t tease you anymore.”

Seeing Asuna’s vexed expression, Eiriri cheerfully waved her hand. Her visit today wasn’t to prank Asuna but to remedy her own mistake.

”Let’s start by answering your question. You asked if Mr. Fang Zheng and I are dating... well, I think we’re not dating.”
