Chapter 927: Chapter 926: The Girls’ Tea Party

At nighttime.

The day’s hustle and bustle were over, and everyone had returned to their rooms to rest. Eiriri sat by the table, gazing at her drawing paper, lost in thought.

Although Fang Zheng also upgraded a rather decent weapon for Eiriri, she wasn’t as excited as the others. Instead, she was pondering the words Fang Zheng said to her during the day.

What did he mean by that? Was he pitying me? Or does he actually have feelings for me? But even if he does have feelings, he doesn’t seem like the type to be fickle...

”Ugh...”

Thinking of this, Eiriri couldn’t help but sigh.

It’s really a headache...

”What’s wrong, Eiriri?”

Hearing Eiriri’s sigh, Black Cat, who was sitting by the table, looked up at her.

”Are you not feeling well?”

”No, not at all, how could I not feel well, I’m just...”

Upon Black Cat’s inquiry, Eiriri instinctively wanted to gloss over the matter, but then an idea suddenly lit up in her mind.

”Right, I’m... thinking about a manga plot and not sure how to handle it.”

”Oh? Sounds interesting, what’s the plot? Tell me about it!”

Hearing this, the girl with golden curly hair and pointed ears sitting across from Black Cat turned her head curiously. She was a player from the production group of the ”Dark Moon Sword” guild, known as ”Fairy.” Although she fights separately from Black Cat and Eiriri, their shared hobbies formed an ”Otaku Alliance,” where they often gathered for tea and chats when free.

And tonight, naturally, was their ”tea party time.”

”Hmm... the plot goes like this: the female protagonist confesses to the male protagonist, he agrees to accept her confession but also informs her that he is currently seeing other women... What excuse would be convincing?”

”That’s all the details?”

Hearing Eiriri’s description, Fairy frowned.

”At least tell us what kind of character the male protagonist is.”

”Handsome, charming, dashing, smart... oh, kind of like Mr. Fang Zheng.”

”Huh?”

Hearing this, Black Cat’s eyes widened in surprise.

”Does Mr. Fang Zheng seem like the type to say such things?”

”That’s what makes it more dramatically compelling.”

Fairy, on the contrary, became excited.

”Indeed, if someone like Mr. Fang Zheng were fickle, now that would be sensational. If your original design was for him to be a scum of the earth who falls for anyone he meets, then such a response wouldn’t be unexpected at all.”

”Hmm... something like that.”

Seeing their reactions, Eiriri was also cold with sweat. In reality, she felt the same as them, and if she hadn’t heard Fang Zheng’s response with her own ears, she wouldn’t have believed he’d say such things.

But the fact is, Fang Zheng did say it!!

”Then why do you think he said that?”

”...Definitely just making excuses for future infidelity, no doubt?”

Black Cat clearly wasn’t keen on the topic, but Fairy seemed quite amused.

”No, no, no, this is different, Black Cat. Listen, what Eiriri said is that the male protagonist has informed the female protagonist he’s seeing others, so his intentions are clear — he wants to see how deeply the female protagonist loves him!”

”What does that have to do with how deeply you love?”

Hearing Fairy’s response, Eiriri couldn’t help but point out, but Black Cat suddenly slapped the table.

”Exactly, it must be that! If I fell in love, then even if he does OOXX with his own sister, I wouldn’t care, and if his sister wants to be the first, that’s fine too! Because that is love! That’s my blazing love, like a Hellfire Flame; I am willing to give everything for him...!”

”STOP! STOP! STOP!”

Hearing this, Eiriri quickly waved her hands to interrupt Black Cat.

”His own sister is off-limits! It’s not acceptable on many levels!”

”Even if it’s not his real sister, it’s not okay!”

At this, Fairy also stood up excitedly.

”With an unrelated brother and sister living under one roof, and the sister drawing erotic illustrations for the brother... that’s like a disaster waiting to happen, right?”

”Eh? I didn’t describe it that vividly...”

”Ahem...”

Realizing the curious eyes of Eiriri and Black Cat on her, Fairy blushed slightly, coughed awkwardly, and sat back down.

”Alright, enough of that... by the way, do you think Mr. Fang Zheng is the fickle type?”

”Uh... that’s hard to say...”

Black Cat seemed to think of something, blushing slightly.

”Mr. Fang Zheng sometimes can be very cunning and likes to tease people.”

See, if you’re handsome, taking advantage of girls is teasing; if you’re not, even a glance is considered lewd. Not even Black Cat is immune to this.

”But if you’re dating Mr. Fang Zheng, it must feel secure; at least I feel he wouldn’t be fickle, of course, unless you do something silly yourself.”

Unconsciously, the conversation drifted from manga characters to real people, which was just what Eiriri wanted. After all, it would be strange if the conversation didn’t derail.

”That’s hard to say, with Mr. Fang Zheng’s abilities, wouldn’t it be easy for him to attract other girls?”

Fairy waved her hand.

”In my experience, Mr. Fang Zheng probably appeals to everyone, from little girls to old ladies. If a prettier, more fashionable girl appears, wouldn’t you feel threatened? Like a lively middle-school girl who can befriend everyone in her grade...”

”Friends with everyone in her grade!?”

Hearing this, Eiriri and Black Cat were stunned.

”Does such a person really exist?”

”It’s just an example, an example!”

Fairy waved her hand.

”So, when you see Mr. Fang Zheng happily chatting with her, wouldn’t you feel the threat?”

”...Not really, because from what I see, Mr. Fang Zheng doesn’t seem like he’d be easily swayed. Besides, my love can withstand any trial, even if...”

”Alright, alright, I get it...”

Before Black Cat could finish, Fairy interrupted her. Talking to someone who’d accept her boyfriend OOXX with his sister is pointless.

”Back to the plot setting. Since it’s a love story, no matter how many girlfriends the male lead has, the female lead will probably fall for him, right? The ups and downs might become her Philosopher’s Stone, and although frustrating, just like the cat said, eventually she might find that while the male lead has many girlfriends, she would still fall for him.”

With that, Fairy yawned.

”This is also typical harem plot stuff, right? Like in gal games, harem manga, anime, aren’t they all like that?”

”Is that so...”

Hearing Fairy’s response, Eiriri once again looked at her drawing paper.

”Yes, but harem endings only happen in the Game World, right? In the real world, things aren’t so easy. Even if you’re willing to share a man with other women, there would still be family and societal pressures. And what do you tell your kids about the family dynamics when they’re born? Plus, you’d be pointed at when you go out. So, harem endings only happen in games and light novels; they’re impossible in reality.”

After saying this, Fairy buried her head back in her book, and the topic seemingly concluded. Black Cat also stopped speaking and returned to her writing, while Eiriri remained silently gazing at her drawing paper, murmuring to herself.

”It’s not possible in reality, but in the Game World... it is... possible.”

Saying this, Eiriri picked up her drawing pen and drew the final stroke on the paper.
