Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 936: Chapter 935: You Can’t Wrap Fire with Paper

To everyone, the matters of the Tooth King were merely small droplets, causing a faint ripple in the pond, disappearing in the blink of an eye. No one cared where the Tooth King had gone, nor did they wish to know. The strategy for Aincrad was the most important task to them.

So, after this little episode, everyone resumed their routine of training, leveling up, and tackling the floors.

For the Dark Moon Sword, it was still a peaceful day.

”That’s it for now, let’s rest for thirty minutes.”

Asuna sheathed her longsword, then glanced at the time and said. Hearing Asuna’s voice, the already exhausted girls immediately slumped down, starting to sigh and complain.

Leveling up is quite dull, especially when it involves repetitive grinding. In any online game world, maintaining leveling efficiency, the best way is to kill monsters. But killing monsters itself is boring, besides the occasional drop of rare items or the pleasant notification sound of an upgrade to lift spirits, there’s really nothing else good about it.

In many online game novels, such guilds mostly take over the maps for grinding. However, the Dark Moon Sword obviously doesn’t need to do that. Their average rank is the highest first tier among all players. It can be said that the areas where other players level up are lower than theirs, so even if the Dark Moon Sword takes over, they’d see no other players. They could grind as much as they wanted without worrying about complaints.

But on the flip side, this monotonous grinding also lacks the fun of interaction, inevitably making it somewhat tedious.

”It’s unlikely we’ll level up again today.”

Black Cat looked at the experience bar and complained.

”You wouldn’t be thinking of extending the training time, would you?”

”Of course.”

However, Asuna’s reaction was as if she heard a student ask a teacher if they were staying late, completely matter-of-fact. She wasn’t called the training demon for nothing.

”I roughly looked, and during this time, our experience points increased by nearly half; if we continue to work hard, we should be able to level up once more, and then we can go back to rest.”

To Black Cat, this was no different from hearing a teacher say that they could go home after finishing their homework.

”Really... ”

Upon hearing Asuna’s response, Black Cat complained helplessly, then she snuck away from the others, found a place to hide, and pulled out a small booklet to read———this was nothing else but the book drawn by Eiriri.

Although Fang Zheng asked Eiriri to restrain herself, as a creator, drawing a book without showing it seemed unbearable. So she secretly brought it to her fellow ”Otaku Alliance” members, Black Cat and Fairy.

As for Eiriri’s book, Black Cat and Fairy showed great enthusiasm. In fact, no one knew, these three frequently got together to discuss the book’s plot development and what techniques and positions to use...... Since developing a super-friendly relationship with Fang Zheng, Eiriri became more experienced in this area, making her drawings naturally more skillful.

At this moment, Black Cat was holding one of the books Eiriri drew, flipping through it to pass the time.

The content of this book involved Asuna wearing a swimsuit to swim, only to be attacked by an octopus in the pond; then Fang Zheng arrived, not only failing to rescue Asuna but taking advantage of her inability to move to do as he pleased......

”Hehehe... ”

Looking at Asuna’s expression in the booklet, Black Cat giggled. She had recommended this plot, the three now not only looked at Asuna but more at how Fang Zheng acted. In reality, they couldn’t see Fang Zheng act so wickedly, so they just drew it———as long as Fang Zheng didn’t see it.

”Tsk tsk tsk, Asuna in the book is still cuter, the real-life Asuna isn’t as cute.”

Looking at the picture of Asuna blushing and begging in the book, Black Cat sighed while flipping the pages.

Just then, suddenly, a voice spoke by Black Cat’s ears.

”Who are you saying isn’t cute in reality? Black Cat?”

”Eeek!!”

Startled by the voice, Black Cat jumped up and instinctively hid the booklet, then turned to look behind her, to find Asuna smiling, watching Black Cat.

”Asuna.... ”

At this moment, Black Cat looked like a cat caught stealing fish, cold sweat pouring down her face.

”What are you looking at? So absorbed? Is it my... book?”

”Uh, this.... ”

Poor Black Cat, though being a chuunibyou, she had no depth, Asuna easily left her speechless with just a few probing words.

”Let me see, is it about me? You wouldn’t have written something bad about me, would you?”

”No, no, no! I wouldn’t do such a thing!”

Hearing this, Black Cat hurriedly waved her hands in panic, but at that moment, Asuna suddenly extended her hand, and before Black Cat could react, she felt the booklet lighten in her hands, falling into Asuna’s grip.

It’s over!

Seeing this scene, Black Cat showed a look of despair as Asuna giggled, taking the booklet.

”Let me see, this is... ”

Saying while Asuna looked at the cover, her face quickly turned red———depicted on the cover was a disheveled image of herself.

”.........”

Asuna silently flipped open the book, going through the pages quickly while Black Cat dared not breathe, standing by dumbstruck without moving.

”This, this, this.... ”

The more she looked, the redder Asuna’s face became, until she turned as red as a cooked lobster!

”Who drew this!!”

Finally, Asuna couldn’t keep reading, she slammed the booklet shut, glaring fiercely at Black Cat.

”Not me! I didn’t draw it!!”

At this instant, Black Cat felt as if she saw the angry ghost god from behind Asuna, trembling with hair standing on end.

”Who? Who drew such shameless stuff?!!”

”It was Eiriri!!”

Once again, selling out her companion as Eiriri wasn’t present, Black Cat decisively sold out her comrade...... If comrades aren’t sold, what’s the point of having them?

”Eiriri... just you wait!!”

After hearing Black Cat’s response, Asuna angrily turned, rushing towards the Teleportation Crystal, leaving others puzzled, staring blankly at her back. Black Cat was full of cold sweat, dumbfounded, watching Asuna’s departure.

It’s over! There’s gonna be trouble!

Thinking this, Black Cat hurriedly opened the system, sending a message to Eiriri.

”Knock knock knock!! Knock knock knock!!!”

The urgent knocking sounded, hearing it, Fang Zheng, browsing journals for game clues, raised his head, frowning slightly. He didn’t know what happened, but if it’s urgent, he could’ve been directly contacted...

”Come in.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng unlocked the door, then Eiriri rushed in, looking flustered around the room, then quickly ”bang” shut the door.

”Eiriri? What’s up? What happened?”

Seeing Eiriri’s urgent-fire appearance, Fang Zheng was puzzled, while Eiriri quickly rushed to Fang Zheng’s desk, waving her hands.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, quickly lock the door, pretend you’re not in the room... ”

”Knock knock knock!!”

Yet before Eiriri finished speaking, knocking sounded again, followed by another voice.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, are you in? I’m coming in!”

”Oh no!”

Hearing this voice, Eiriri’s expression changed, urgently bending down and hiding under Fang Zheng’s desk. Meanwhile, the initially closed door was pushed open, Asuna walked in furiously. At this moment, she seemed like a ghost god burning with rage entering the room, Fang Zheng even saw Asuna wearing a rapier on her waist———ready for battle!

”Asuna, what’s the matter?”

Glancing at Eiriri hiding under the desk, Fang Zheng returned his gaze to inquire Asuna. Asuna then scanned Fang Zheng’s room, turning her gaze back to Fang Zheng.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, did you see Eiriri?”
