Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 548: Chapter 548: The Opponent’s Motive Is Clear

Judging by Mia Lane’s expression and demeanor, she must have received the call too.

Finn Morgan met her gaze.

”Don’t call Justin Kingston about this matter yet,” Mia Lane walked over to him and calmly said, ”He’s on a business trip and will return naturally when he’s done.”

Finn Morgan nodded, ”Alright.” He didn’t want one thing to affect another.

”Let’s find someone to investigate the real reason behind this first.” Mia Lane had a few candidates in mind, ”See who’s causing trouble from behind the scenes and is willing to pay double the price.”

Finn Morgan furrowed his brow slightly, ”The purpose is obvious; they don’t want to see our True Love series released.”

Mia Lane was puzzled, ”Not many people know about the True Love series, right? It was just discussed in the board meeting, and the news hasn’t been leaked outside.”

Finn Morgan seemed to have been reminded of something. He pondered who exactly knew about this matter.

Mia Lane then asked, ”Who knows exactly which city in Zulmar we are sending people to for diamond mining?”

Finn Morgan picked up the phone, told his subordinates what needed investigating, and mentioned a few names, ”Check immediately and report the results as soon as possible!”

After putting down the receiver, he said to Mia Lane, ”We’ll have the results soon.”

”Now we need to come up with a few alternative plans,” Mia Lane said, ”Finding out who did it doesn’t solve the problem. Since the True Love series got leaked, we can’t proceed with the original plan; we need to bring it out quietly and ahead of schedule.”

Finn Morgan agreed with her idea, ”Yes, I’ll redesign a plan for you to review.”

”Okay.”

Korland, Montclair.

In a certain seven-star hotel, Justin Kingston’s phone was on 24/7; every minute and second was a waiting game for him.

He just wanted to quickly get that notebook and fly back to Riventhal, back to Mia and the kids.

Lake Manor.

In the beautiful orchard, golden sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the grass and the green terrace.

Emily, dressed in a Lolita dress, carried a fruit basket, humming a tune as she moved between the fruit trees, picking some ripe fruits.

She danced gracefully at times, with a smile on her face, obviously in high spirits.

Emily hadn’t sent anyone to Eldoria to fetch the notebook because it was right there on her estate; she packed it with her father’s relics when she immigrated to Korland.

Riventhal, in this bustling metropolis.

Barbara Sutton was in the vice president’s office; she was present when Mia Lane took the call, so she was also aware of the situation with the refusal to sell raw diamonds to the Kingston Group from Zulmar.

She was shocked, how could this be? It seems the Kingston Group has met a formidable opponent.

Add to that, Hailey Hale directly complained, ”Is there no integrity in business? Can a deal last long like this? Just refuse to sell when they say so?”

”There are plenty of diamonds there,” Mia Lane said calmly, ”If someone is willing to pay double, they can make more money, why not sell? And given the diamonds’ quality, they aren’t worried about not selling them; many people bid for a single raw diamond at times.”

Hailey Hale was still a student and didn’t quite understand the intricacies of the business world; she was just infuriated by the situation!

”How long will CEO Kingston be on a business trip to Korland?” Hailey Hale felt a bit sorry for Mia, considering she just got appointed as vice president, Justin wasn’t around, and with such an incident, many people would be watching her to see how she handles it, right?

”I don’t know.”

In fact, Mia Lane really didn’t know. Justin Kingston hadn’t said, and she hadn’t asked.
