Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations

Chapter 517: Chapter 517: From Today On, It’s President Lane

”Mm-hmm.” Hailey Hale opened the drawer and looked inside.

Barbara Sutton’s gaze fell on her, ”How old are you?”

”Just turned 20.”

”So young?” She was surprised, ”Then you’re still in school, right?”

”Kind of.” Hailey Hale did not hide her student status. She looked up at her, ”But I’m about to graduate, and I’ll go to school if anything comes up.”

So casual?

What’s her relationship with Special Assistant Morgan? Barbara Sutton really wanted to ask but suddenly calmed down just as she was about to speak.

Wouldn’t it be too abrupt to ask like this? Maybe it’s better to observe for a while first.

”By the way, are you going to the charity gala tomorrow?” Hailey Hale leaned back in her chair and asked her.

Barbara Sutton paused and said somewhat awkwardly, ”I didn’t receive an invitation. We probably can’t get into such a big event, right?”

”Finn Morgan is just so inconsiderate!” Hailey Hale complained, then sighed and shook her head, ”It wouldn’t hurt to get a couple more invitations, it’s not like it costs much to eat.”

Barbara Sutton fell silent; it seemed she really had a good relationship with Special Assistant Morgan.

Seeing Hailey Hale come, Barbara Sutton felt incredibly disappointed inside. She would probably get closer to Special Assistant Morgan, right?

In the grand and high-class conference room.

Justin Kingston did not introduce Mia Lane in detail. The identity of Pharmacist Cora Yates was protected, the designer’s cover was still maintained, and nobody knew about Gina.

Justin Kingston only gave a brief introduction because he knew that to win over everyone present, it required Mia’s own efforts, and only time would tell.

He simply announced that from today on, Mia Lane would be appointed as the Group’s Vice President, hoping everyone would cooperate and support her work.

The room erupted in applause.

But who was convinced and who was not, Justin Kingston’s gaze swept over everyone, and he could tell at a glance; he had already made up his mind.

He didn’t blame them because they were also great contributors to the Kingston Group’s rapid and stable development; having doubts wasn’t a bad thing.

”First, I want to thank CEO Kingston for the trust, allowing me to take on such an important role in the company.” Mia Lane stood up, ”My feelings are actually a bit complicated.” She wasn’t too modest, ”But I, Mia Lane, never do things I’m not confident about, so since I’ve decided to be here, please believe I won’t lose to Monica Usher.”

The room was filled with whispers, everyone looking at one another.

Even Justin Kingston and Finn Morgan were a little surprised; did she actually say that?

Mia Lane stood in front of the conference table, looking at everyone without arrogance or inferiority, ”Please rest assured, CEO Kingston, and rest assured, all executives present, in future work, I will prove with actions that CEO Kingston’s decision today is not wrong.”

Finn Morgan’s lips slightly curved, he genuinely admired and appreciated her.

Mia Lane said, ”I will perform my job duties diligently, assist CEO Kingston in completing various tasks, and together we’ll take the Kingston Group to a higher level.”

With Finn Morgan leading the applause, Justin Kingston also clapped, and then the entire conference room burst into thunderous applause.

Some were genuinely impressed by Mia Lane’s aura, eager to see her performance.

Some remained skeptical but were willing to give her time.

After the meeting ended.

Justin Kingston escorted Mia Lane into the Vice President’s office, and Finn Morgan followed them in.

Barbara Sutton hurriedly stood up, respectfully saluting, ”Hello, CEO Kingston, President Lane, Special Assistant Morgan!”

Hailey Hale, on the other hand, did not greet anyone but stood up as well.

Barbara Sutton noticed that Finn Morgan didn’t consciously look at Hailey Hale, suggesting they weren’t familiar with each other.

”Work hard.” Justin Kingston shook Mia Lane’s shoulder encouragingly, ”I believe you can do it.”

Mia Lane smiled with confidence and composure, ”Thank you.” Then escorted Justin Kingston out with her eyes.

Barbara Sutton deeply envied her attitude, clearly not someone from the same world as CEO Kingston—a plain duckling and a myth standing amidst clouds.

Yet when the duckling stood before the myth, she seemed so confident and composed, as if she deserved to be loved.
